giselle237:What I said was based on facts. A first timer can get more than 6 months UK visit visa without travel history. |

Brightingsus:Continue to eat your popcorn. Once the application is well packaged, more than 6 months UK visit visa is achievable for a first timer without any travel history. Let me know if you need more popcorn. |

Is it possible for an application to be transferred to vac in the weekends pls reply |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Brightingsus: 10:19am On Aug 29, 2020 |
LoyalRoyalty: Yeap. I do agree with u. No need flogging this matter any further. There is no clause that stipulates 6 months visa comes before 2 years and so on, from Paragraphs V4.2 of Appendix V. It boils down to strong application with compelling supporting documentation. However people apply and hope they have satisfied all aspects. Some get approval and some refusal. Bottom line, given a first time applicant; scrutiny of 2, 5 or 10 year long term visitor visa is more than that of 6 months. While you may have first hand information on 2 or 5 years first time visa approvals, there are also other experiences with a refusal. It's Saturday, I want to do 'Clean Up'. |

Terminalbond: Did you get the rejection via email? I don't advise that you apply anytime soon. Sorry about this and better luck next time. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Brightingsus: 10:31am On Aug 29, 2020 |
Rheminix: I suppose you mean passport return. What's really relevant is when an applicant can collect their passport following a visa application. All centres; Ikeja, VI, Abj are open ONLY Monday to Friday. 09:00-14:00.

@giselle, please there is a way you can address an enquiry without an insult, you should have ignored. You are someone i respected. Please dont say their money their wahala. No one knows it all. I believe you can't tolerate that crap. I asked due to the pandemic which was the cause of not using the 6months visa which no one as ever experienced before. Please dish out what you can take. giselle237: 2 Likes 1 Share |

Brightingsus:Every UK visa application is well scrutinized by the ECO irrespective of the visa duration or visa category. You want to do clean up and you wanted me to eat popcorn. Let me join you in the clean up jare. No be only your house go fine o. Have a nice Saturday. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Rerin: 10:45am On Aug 29, 2020 |
@safiguy4u, @loyalroyalty can you please help with any other reason I can state in the application which might suffice for applying for 2 or more years? Please note i was given 6months recently but didn't use due to pandemic. My only reason shooting for 2years is it's painful paying another 6months which i did earlier and I intend having multiple entry to visit for vacation and sightseeing. Or rather give me a link I can refer to where they already addressed my type of request as giselle mentioned. I know some people im my category will benefit from this. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by LoyalRoyalty: 10:49am On Aug 29, 2020 |
Rerin:You don't need to do anything special. Present a well packaged application like you did in your first application and pay for the duration you want your visa to be valid for. |

Rerin:Honourable Minister issokay. Ok ‘their wahala’ taken back. I don’t know anything at all sef as I am not an ECO. Your money. My wahala. My wahala please. But truth is no matter how anybody sings anything on this thread, what I noticed is that most people still do what they intend. To them is their cross to bear. Even if it’s fire, most people on this thread still say no. I will do what I want. That was the reasoning behind all dt Kindly dont take any prt of my statement to heart. My statement in quote was not in total reference to you but to what was already building up... Gulf war was about to start on this issue. 1 Like |

LoyalRoyalty: It is possible but not advisable because they will scrutinize your application thoroughly. My junior brother's wife got 2 years as first timer. I believe she got it because of our job. She works with oil company making good money (I don't know her salary but I believe she making good money because they bought a house at Lekki in 2018). To apply and get 2, 5 or 10 years as first timer is possible but not advisable unless you are able to show - Strong ties such as good job, home, financial assets and family—that will take you back to your home country Nigeria. - Have enough money. The probability of getting 2, 5 or 10 years as first timer is low compare to that of 6 month if you are applying from Nigeria. Also, she applied for 2 years but her passport came wit 6 months. She wrote them about what she paid for which the embassy later corrected without issue |

Hello Terminalbond, Firstly, I want to sympathise with you on your visa refusal. I know how it feels to be rejected and plans being messed up. You did not have proper counsel before applying but we can only move ahead than regret. About your U.K. visa refusal, it’s clear that the visa officer is not convinced that you have enough home ties or resources to bring you back. Your monthly salary is what people earn per hour so it’s understandable for them to see a reason as to why you might want to stayback to find a job or something (especially with your child coming in). In this present situation, your best bet is to just wait until your circumstances get better & you reapply. I mean in terms of getting a higher paid job or self employment to support any amount you may have in your bank account. Or use your fiancée as a sponsor but wait until maybe early next year? I understand that this may mean that you will miss out on the birth of your child and it sucks, I know. I am not sure how it works but I think there’s a visa that you can apply for if you want to get married in the U.K. to a resident/citizen.... perhaps that still falls under the general six months visit visa idk. Nevertheless, do not let this decision weigh you down. Shit happens and we can only replan, for a better tomorrow. From my responses in bold, you shouldn’t go ahead with your decision to reapply now. All the best brother. Terminalbond: 2 Likes |

giselle237: @giselle this my host nah stubborn host, she insisted that i should not submit our WhatsApp print out conversations to show a genuine relationship between us, she said that they will want to check my phone lol, i told her it’s not an interview; that my applications or documents submitted will make the decision of the visa, that even if nah U.S. embassy i get interview and questions of how we meet as a friends is throw to me, i will tell them we meet on social media and if they need proofs i will show them the WhatsApp conversations print out and metals materials are not allowed in every to all embassies here i even screenshots your advice here send her about adding the conversations she no gree ooo. Abeg, help me out she’s a white lady and doesn’t know much about our embassies here. She think say it’s easy like bread and beans to get visa from 9ja...just the way she moves around the world from the UK without visas. How do you see it ? You once told me to use my tongue to count my teeth to be honest am counting my teeth’s right now as am convince I don’t want to submit anything that will rope me off the visa. We haven’t meet offline before as i am thinking maybe i should submit the WhatsApp printout conversations without her knowing because nah only me know my country 9ja just the way she her own country too, and remember we are not in any love relationship thing, but friend’s, so the WhatsApp chats don’t have anything romantic like kiss stickers ect The sentence beneath is her chats: Oh and like iv told you already if u want to listen or not, u shouldn’t print our conversations, because when they see them, they will probably ask to look at ur Fone, to see what other conversations we been having, so unles u gunna delete everything that incriminate anything then I wouldn’t give them conversions. She think say maybe getting visa from Nigeria is easy as cooking English meals or what tea’s u having tonight UK English term as what u plan eating for tonight tho. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Skymoore1004: 6:38pm On Aug 29, 2020 |
No offence but how about you just give up this visit visa struggle for now? Your sponsor doesn’t seem competent enough & it’s just a lot of hassle already. It’s better to wait till your circumstances are better to apply just for tourism, than to risk it now & get a rejection. Whatever you decide, all the best. Roneld77: 1 Like |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by giselle237: 6:45pm On Aug 29, 2020 |
Roneld77:Sorry dear. U guys have not met before. Then all these hassles. It’s even better you chose hotel as youur accommodation and then state strictly tourist terms. Your chances are really down to be issued this visa. This is 100% the truth. It will take a miracle with this your profile to get this visa. Eco would assume this to be romance scam based on you are a nigerian, and further more you are currently unable to prove the genuinety of this friendship. U guys should meet in another country first and take pictures as friends. That’s better than dashing this uk people your money. 1 Like |

Roneld77: Your sponsor may have a point, depending on what constitutes your conversations. Since you guys are yet to meet, there may be some lines of convos that suggest how excited you too would be when you finally see. You may not know how free you could get in conversations. Even if you want to edit all conversations, you may miss out on some elements that show online only relationship. |
