This is awesome.

That means you must have a solid CV. Can you share a template for a data science CV?

I believe it is the first step to getting a Data Science job after all the learning a good CV will help too.

I am not a fan of CV, I just write what comes to mind and what I can offer. I'm still building it. You don't wanna see it trust me. It's so light.

What you have is just a bootcamp certificate of attendance, it doesn't make you a certified Data scientist.

Experts, please I need your help.

The Seaborn output from my tutorial is different from the one on my Jupyter Notebook.

First Image: The Seaborn output from the tutorial I am using to learn.

Second Image: The Seaborn output from my Jupyter Notebook.

Is there something I am doing wrong or do I need to tweak the settings somewhere?

Your input appreciated.

Are you sure you didn't make mistakes when copying the code from the tutorial?

From what I'm seeing these are looking like completely different graphs.

Did anybody catch the news on Channels TV?

A data analyst was invited to talk about Nigeria’s GDP growth and the economic performance in general.

While I’m not impressed with the charts - I was hoping to see a dashboard in PBI or Tableau and I think he used PowerPoint(I can’t really blame him though) but it was still good to see how he separated the necessary information from the noise.

When you guys talk about the analytical side of data analysis - how to interpret data and statistics into simple words, I was thinking I’d have to pick up a business course or something to make up for my strong dislike for all financial grammars, but looking at the way he left out financial jargon for simple words anybody can understand - wow!

I think I can conclude that it really depends on the job and as long as we understand our data - where it’s coming from, how it was complied, the maths/statistics going behind relationships and the story we want to tell, we only have to tailor the narrative to suit our audience tastes.

All in all it was a nice watch. Anyway that’s just my opinion but I’d be happy if anyone can contribute. Especially if anyone has recommendations on videos/ courses that helped them on this aspect.

PS: I’ve also been thinking aside from the business knowledge and all, isn’t a data analyst and business consultant almost same thing?

someone once said that

Data Analyst = Programmer(Intermediate) + Business Analyst
Data Scientist = Statistician + Programmer(Advanced) + Business Analyst

Meaning, the above guys are performing the job of 2 - 3 professionals with a pay of 1.

I wept!

Hi bro, any idea where I can download SQL datasets.

The Google results I tried are confusing.

Finally. this won't be complete without mentioning the resultant "Confusion Matrix".
Managed to create a visualization for it. When visualized, we see that for most of the sections, the correct prediction was made. There were a few sections where probably not enough values to form a cell. These appear to be "Programming", "Pets", etc. Red cells mean zero. For example, there were no successful predictions for "Webmasters". Light cells mean successful predictions. Most of the cells along the diagonal are light, correlating with the fairly good accuracy obtained.
If this catches your interest, you can download the notebook here on my github and play around with it, if you want. The code is in R.

Nice work bro. I believe a higher accuracy can be achieved by implementing more sophisticated information extraction techniques such as tfidf, word2vec, doc2vec and RNN. You can as well work around the imbalanced dataset by using SMOTE.
