*NIGER STATE N-POWER VOLUNTEERS FORUM* _29/08/2020_ *_ATTENTION_* Sequel to the directive from the Minister of Federal Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development to all the Focal Persons of NSIPs in all the States to submit an updated list and details of the exited N-Power Beneficiaries that are interested in participating in the transition plans of the Ministry, Niger State focal person is yet to say anything pertaining to the above issue though there is gap now between the state rep and the focal person. I'm yet to get such directive from the office of the Niger state focal person and i can't start anything or saying anything without directive from them. In lieu of the above, everyone should exercise patience for now, i will make announcement as soon as there is directive. Please don't get panic with this because i see no reason why they are even demanding for our details again when they have our authentic details in their data base already. Why can't they create an icon on our portal that is better, fast and stress free to do such. This is just another delay tactics to silent us from our agitation but we won't stop. *36 states and FCT N-Power Representatives' Forum* are seriously working towards all this issues. remain calm and no cause for alarm. *stay tune* Thanks! ✍ *Comr. N-Power: Master of All Protests (MAP) in “SIT IN ABUJA” Coming Soon It is now glaring, the Humanitarian Minister had been dishing out promises without fulfilling any, from the look of things it seems exited N-Power volunteers might not be absolved into Ministries, Departments and Agencies of Government. “The Minister, Sadiya Umar Farouq had advised N-Power volunteers to exercise more patience and await the result of the efforts being made by her who is currently engaging various MDAs including the CBN and the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development to ensure that the eligible exited N-Power beneficiaries are transited to government progammes or even employment where available. This absorption into MDAs may be a plot to divert N-Power volunteers’ attention from the struggle of permanency. Knowing fully well, N-Power volunteers are in every local government of the Federation, but these Federal, Ministries, Agencies, Department are mostly located at the state capitals with limited spaces. In essence, it is practically impossible to absorb all N-Power volunteers into MDAs, it might be a plot to buy more time to select only but few N-Power volunteers. Sequel to this N-Power volunteers are gearing-up for a MEGA PROTEST, tag “Master of All Protest” (MAP), which will be announced first week of September, 2020. This will facilitate fulfilment of all promises of absorption because without this nothing can be done as the entire ministry is extremely hard to believe. The SIT-IN ABUJA Protest held 26th of August 2020, was a huge success and a steppingstone for further protests. Disengaged N-Power volunteers from the 36 states and the FCT will take Abuja city by surprise for a SIT-IN ABUJA protest. A protest that will last till October 2020. N-Power Volunteers have already sort police permission and injunction to press on with their demand. The “SIT-IN ABUJA” protest will be a long and precise one, not until the president addresses the situation himself, disengaged N-Power volunteers will not step an inch out of the Federal Capital territory, protesting N-Power volunteers will take along, with them blankets, stoves, cooking Utensils, Buckets, and Media outlets “An Open letter to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and Copied to the Vice President, the Senate President, Speaker House of Representative and Ministries”: Our letters were received in the following offices: Office of The National Assembly Clerk. Office of Accountant General of the Federation. Federal Ministry of Justice. National Human Right Commission. Federal Ministry of Empowerment, Labour and Productivity. Federal Ministry of Humanitarian and Disaster Management. Federal Ministry of Youth and Sport Development Office of The President. Office of The Vice President. Office of The Senate President. Office of The Speaker House of Representative. “A Freelance journalist that has connection with AIT and Thisday Newspaper have also been contacted and are willing to give the protest full audience and coverage. Date and time for the Master of All Protests (MAP) in “SIT IN ABUJA” will be announced after due communications are made with all states executives. |

N-Power ID Confirmation: Go Ahead and Confirm Your Details-NSIP Advised Please all concerned N-Power volunteers should treat as urgent and important, N-Power volunteers are kindly requested to give this exercise the attention and seriousness it deserves. In line with the transition plan to exit N-Power volunteers into viable alternatives, the National Social Investment Programme has directed all the exited N-Power volunteers to confirm their ID details for easy identification and head count. This is prior to the fact that, not all N-Power volunteers are still in the N-Power Scheme: Some N-Power volunteers absconded long ago. Some N-Power volunteers willingly resigned after securing better jobs. Many N-Power volunteers might not be interested in the transition package. In line with all round verification, all N-Power batch A volunteers are to login to the NPVN portal and do a simple ID confirmation-NSIP director added. The verification and confirmation will help the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development to know the exact numbers of N-Power volunteers available now, as some N-Power volunteers might have died or not interested. Apparently, NSIP and FMHDSD have Outlined Three Verification Processes A) Verification via updating details with Focal persons in all States B) Verification via Online (NPVN ID confirmation) C)Transition test (psychometric test) which miight come in a couple of weeks. Start the Confirmation at npvn.npower.gov.ng |

Humanitarian Minister Gives Update On July Stipend And Reasons Why Batch A Was Omitted From Payment The Honourable Minister stated on Monday, 24th August 20 that approval has been given for the payment of the outstanding stipends for the exited N-Power Batches A and B volunteers. The approval for payments for up to the month of June, 2020 for the two (2) Batches has already been forwarded to the office of the Accountant General of the Federation (AGFs) for final checks and payments. The only outstanding approval waiting to be forwarded to Accountant-General’s Office is for the payment of July Stipends for N-Power batch B volunteers. The Ministry however noted that about 14000 N-Power beneficiaries that were omitted by the AGF’s Office during the payment from March to June 2020 could be among those rejected by the GIPMIS payment platform due to discrepancies identified with their accounts as conveyed to the ministry by the AGF’s office. According to the report from the AGF’s office, any N-Power beneficiary receiving payment from other government payment platforms will be rejected by the Government Integrated Financial Management System (GIPMIS). Hence their payment will be withheld. The FMHADMSD has requested for details of those affected and the reasons for their rejection from AGF’s Office and has promised to communicate that to the affected N-Power beneficiaries. However, if the rejection was done in error, those affected should be rest assured that they will be paid all that is due to them as soon as the error is rectified by the AGF’s office. |

How To Check Your N-Power ID Number For Data Collection This update is for N-Power beneficiaries who are trying to get their N-Power ID number because of the ongoing data collection by State focal persons. In the ongoing data collection of some states, the N-Power ID number is requested amongst other things. So we decided to compile this update for N-Power volunteers who do not know how to access their N-Power ID numbers. The N-Power ID number is a number assigned to every N-Power volunteer on the npvn portal. The number comprises of the N-Power beneficiary's State, year of enrollment, and other short numbers as seen in the image. How To Check Your N-Power ID number Follow the steps below to get your Npower ID number: 1) Visit http://npvn.npower.gov.ng 2) Click on your name at the top right side of the portal. A new page will pop up displaying your profile information and then you can copy your N-Power ID as shown in the image. The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs has ordered NSIP State focal persons to collect data of exited N-Power volunteers who are interested in the transition opportunities the Ministry is planning for them.

To Lagos State N-Power Volunteers The office of Lagos State Focal person is yet to get a memo from the FMHDS to collate biodata of exited N-Power volunteers(Batch A & Batch B). We showed her what other states are doing but she insisted Lagos will only act when she gets an official email from the ministry. It should be noted, the office of Lagos State Focal person has sent an email to FMHDS to verify the authenticity of the information flying around. As soon as feedback is gotten, we shall keep everyone posted. At this point, we urge every N-Power volunteer in Lagos to be patient. We understand we are all eager to pen down our details however, if we must do it, it has to be authentic and genuine. Thanks Lagos N-Power Representative |
