There's Ibom seaport under construction.

Are you sure the claim of the seaport being the busiest is valid.

Read what he wrote again.

Try and ignore the bitterness and abuse...read the rest of the story, slowly and you will understand.

Good day.

You started your report by first casting aspersions on majority of Nigerians. Perhaps, you are one of those who believe that people's opinion on Nairaland is a true reflection of what we think and believe in this country.

B3ACHSIDE:
It has been observed that most Nigerians have crab mentality and dislike hearing the truth. Oppositions ,envy ,and sabotage of progressive ideas and visions has been observed to be unfortunately typical , and that's one of the reasons for the state of sub Saharan Africa today.
I've read numerous talks about seaports and all sorts of propaganda flying around . These days it seems everyone wants a seaport at their backyard even when it's non feasible. it would be wiser to build freight trains connecting inland dry ports . The reality is the only deep port that will be completed and functional in Nigeria by 2030 is the deep port of Calabar . Not to imply other ports won't be embarked on , but this deep port will be completed and functional at that time .

The depth of the pending Deep Port Of Calabar is 20 meters which makes it the Deepest In the World ,And will be one of Busiest in Africa by 2035. The current deepest port in Africa is Port of Lome at 16.60 meters . The current busiest port in Africa is Port of Durban . The port of Rotterdam is the deepest and busiest in Europe.

Not only will the port of Calabar be the deepest and one of busiest in Africa ,Watt Square ,a commercial district which will be part of planned Calabar City center development will be one of the busiest shopping and entertainment districts .

Deeper Than the 'challenger deep'?
I hear you grin
Time will tell.
