I can see some stupid idiots that their fathers failed to be a man making comment as if $1 million dollars is zillion naira. They are harassing your countrymen but tribalism won't let you write something meaningful. Poor souls |

@rampantlover, it's not your fault. It's the fault of those people who thought the grass was greener. I've never believed in Pan-Africanism ,because of the many no-usefuls and irresponsibles like your Ghana and some other African states. By the time we tighten our grips on the closure and stoke the flames of other economic strategies, your Ghana will squeal like a LovePeddler and whimper like a dog. It's getting to a point where we should consider NIGERIA FIRST in our foreign policy thrust. The US did it after WW1 and before WW2. And, Trump is doing that now. I don't care what happens to the rest of Africa . They've fed off us for too long. No more big brother. We are nobody's brother. Big brother is profligacy. 1 Like 1 Share |

Dayvidblue: Of course, believe whatever makes you sleep at night, one thing I know is people of my generation move different and we are not the type to put a mega phone to the mouth to announce ourselves. We never get there, but as long as I am eating 3 square meals in my own country without having to worry about anyone chasing me out based on visa or any other issue, I'm good. Challenges? Yes. What will make me or any group fork out $1million in Ghana? when that money can easily be used here with even less restrictions on land rights or any other issue. Do you know how many products including Agricultural products Nigeria alone exports to Ghana yearly? Despite the closure of the borders they still want our products, why can't they stay home and provide jobs for the youths and selling their products to Ghana? Anyone with a brain will slap these business men if they really did cough up the money. p.s with the whole Yahoo thing, tell me that's you being rational and not tribalistic. 1 Like |

If closing shops is the worst they can do, then fine by me . It is time for the FG to hit them hard as a long term policy. The border must remain closed to Ghana. That should be binding. We should start thinking about invalidating Ghanaian certificates from being eligible for the NYSC. The billions they get from Nigerians will become zero immediately. The FG should also begin to mop out Ghanaians from every sector in Nigeria. Identify them, book them and deport them back to their home country , no matter how highly placed. Also this habit of welcoming Ghanaians into our entertainment sector need to stop. The FG needs to create an "invest in Ghana"special policy for Nigerian companies. Invest in Ghana if it is profitable, leave a light footprint and milk all you can. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Pimpmaride: What is the crime that those people committed o? Tribal bashing apart, if they'd committed any offence, they will all be arrested and jailed but doing legal business is not a crime now. On my street alone, we have about six Lebanese and two Indians living on the same street with us. Nobody victimizes them. They fvck our girls like mad and run their package like normal citizens and no one ever disturb them. There are citizens of other nationals in Nigeria in their thousands yet we treat them equally. I used to have yoruba lesson class strictly for Lebanese in Ibadan and it all went well. I met more than two hundred indians at Dangote Refinery in 2019 many of them can't even speak english yet, they are working and earning living in Nigeria. We have Chinese shops all over our major cities in Nigeria... If there were no Chinese in our country do you think they will open those shops? Hell no! Are those foreigners all saints? They do dirty runs like mad. They mine our natural resources like mad and trade substandard products and smuggles stuff into the country yet we are not threatening them or their business. Why do we Nigerians always happy when people are being unnecessarily hostile to us in their own land? Crime is not a peculiar to any tribe. There are hundreds of thousands of Ghanians in Nigeria and I know many of them one on one not as if Ghanians doesn't live in our country. Bottom line NEVER SPONSOR OR SUPPORT CRIME AGAINST YOUR PEOPLE. 2 Likes 1 Share |

RTSC: The thing is it's like this whole country is just all bark and no bite. Nigeria won't be any worse if we ban Ghana, but let's remove the billions paid into their education sector and they will come begging on their knees. We can cut them off and trust me they are gonna feel it more than we ever will. My dream for Nigeria is to have a leader with strict migration rules, when everyone leaving the country will go through a rigorous and thorough screening even if it's a visa free country. Then maybe we might witness at least less of these kind of attacks on Nigerians abroad. 2 Likes |

Yankee101:Your suggestion borders on the imaginary, let's be pragmatic here, assuming they paid 1m dollars (which from my findings was not on an individual basis but collectively) what do you think is the liquidity ratio of their assets there. Have you put into consideration other factors other than the visa which in itself is probably going to gulp a substantial amount of their working capital. Have you considered if these businesses are dependant on the locale, as there are certain businesses that are location dependent. For crying out loud we have an agreement under ECOWAS which allows members of sister states to carry out legitimate trade within the region and it's not as if we are the only beneficiaries of this agreement. There are a lot of Ghanians right here in Nigeria going about there businesses unmolested. 1 Like |

Retaliate? For what? It is not by force fir Nigerians to stay in ZGhana now. Nigeria can also deport Ghanaians if they want. You can’t force another country to accept your citizens. Or can you? Tell your people to return to Nigeria if they cannot stay in a Ghana. It is not by force to stay in Ghana. jrusky: 1 Like |
