pufframmy: Do you mean amend your appointment date? If yes, then yes you can as long as you don't wait till the appointment date (or time) for that. |

ZabethMay: Too late as you said it is tied, She would have to reapply next year for MSc and this visa would be cancelled. She should also inform her BSc Uni that she's not resuming |

Can one submit a statement that is morethan 28days with his application? Let's say From 30june to 1st September Visa application will be submitted today 1st September. Thinking of printing the statement tomorrow 2nd September so that the transaction on 1st September will be captured. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Brightingsus: 8:01am On Sep 01, 2020 |
Fwaz: 30th June to 1st Sept is somewhat obsolete for the purpose of UK visa application, ought to be within 28 days. |

Sorry my bad..wanted to say 30june to 1st September. Since I'm submitting the application today. Hope I'm good to go? Wil you suggest from 3rd August to 1st September? Brightingsus: |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Brightingsus: 8:18am On Sep 01, 2020 |
Fwaz: That's even worse!!! You need updated account statement but make sure updating it wouldn't jeopardise your application, like additional incoming and outgoing funds and account balance. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Fwaz: 8:25am On Sep 01, 2020 |
The balance is much ok since before the 30june ..didnt drop below the requirement.. I only want the statement from June or july because I only made fewer transactions in August. NB money still intact, just to show transaction on the statement Brightingsus: |

Fwaz: You wanted statement from June or July? I didn't get that. Did you mean you wanted statements until June or July |

Fwaz:@Fwaz I thought you are submitting student visa application? Please their requirement is different for bank statement. Do not mix the two up and you would benefit from the student thread not here if yours is still a student visa app. The answers they gave is for visiting visa. Dont do back and forth on the threads as you are getting the best possible answer on the student thread. 2 Likes |

Please house, how do you count the 15 working days after biometrics? Did my biometrics on the 18th and interview on the 19th. Do I count from the day of my biometrics or interview? The wait is frustrating |

Brightingsus:It’s not a visiting visa. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by oyin000000: 10:15am On Sep 01, 2020 |
If one has a 2/5 year visa can one be practically living in the Uk for that period? Say spend 6 months leave for 1 month, go back and spend some time there again? I don't have a 2/5 year visa. I'm just curious. What happens to those types of people? Is there a rule guiding it? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Cyberknight: 10:19am On Sep 01, 2020 |
oyin000000: The rules allow that on paper, but in practice if you're not an elderly person or a very young person, you shouldn't do that because they will assume you're engaging in employment or something against the rules of your visitor's visa. 1 Like |

giselle237: Oh, I thought the query was for a visitor visa. I think it's best for enquirers to indicate what categories of visa they seek help on. Perhaps this might have been indicated on an earlier query which i picked up late. Thanks anyways. 1 Like |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Brightingsus: 11:19am On Sep 01, 2020 |
ZabethMay: But the difference between the 2 days is just 24 hours or even less na. Remember, the 15 working days is advisory. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Brightingsus: 11:30am On Sep 01, 2020 |
Cyberknight: Not allowed even on paper. |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Brightingsus: 11:36am On Sep 01, 2020 |
oyin000000: Cyberknight: You can not do this. You would not be regarded as a genuine visitor and you would ruin your futures applications. There is a rule ECOs use to judge this. They check how many re-entries into the UK you make over a 12 month period, the amount of time spent on each visit and the time elasped between visits. If these amount to spending more time in the UK than your home country, you would be seen as not genuine and your future applications are likely to be refused. Simples! Check the attached image - page 17 of Visit Guidance from www.gov.uk.

In some cases, it takes one week and in others, it takes longer. Sometimes you don't even get it till you go to the BHC. I don't know if you can just go to the BHC now because of the Covid-19 situation. Case in point, for one overturned refusal, the passport wasn't returned to TLS within the normal expected timescales and it was only handed over by the BDHC after 2 visits. On the 1st visit, the applicant was asked to contact UKVI by the security guys but on the 2nd visit, the applicant was allowed in after stating that Sheffield redirected to the BDHC even though it wasn't exactly stated in plain terms. Upon receiving the passport, it showed that the visa had been issued like 2 weeks back but had expired because it had a 1-day validity; this had to be reprinted and it took roughly 1 hour.
