This will actually help in improving electricity supply by the thieving discos who won't be happy at all with this new guideline.

For we wey dey get more than 20 hours of light we no go mind at all.

You'd love this if you understood it and really prepared for a better electricity.

It's still a scam if they refuse to meter every household.

You lack sense. You and your fellows are the ones who are supposed to be answering that question. Did Buhari privatise power sector? Or, your tiny brain failed to tell you that when you encouraged Jonathan to sell power sector, you were encouraging FG to sell her right? You never heard the phrase "you can't eat your cake and have it"?

You and I know Buhari approved these new Nepotic tarriffs and it's plan to impoverish the south because it clear NW and NE will pay the lowest tarriffs as Buhari has already classified them poor ... Well even before the new tarriffs I was spending an average of 40k + on Nepa for both my office and home and this now means I should be prepared to pay about 70 to 80k a month which I can comfortably afford it's just the help I render to people will have to reduce by the ratio of increment ... Well prepare for another round of inflation .

Of course, this is only workable for metered users.

Un-metered users can't and shouldn't be billed.

It's now private sector with the exception of TCN, there is limit to how FG can gag them (discos and gencos). Tariff increase was bound to happen and inevitable, it's no longer social responsibility of the government. Thanks to Jonathan and those who encouraged and supported him to sell the power sector, we're now paying more for darkness. There is no way spin this against Buhari

Truth be told I've been enjoying light recently o.
At most 18-24hrs light.if it continues like this, there'll be no reason for us not to pay.

Who understands the MD, Non MD thing??

I do, that’s not even the issue, the issue is the supply hours can’t be meant for tarrif a b c, hence we will all opt for d and e and they will control the naira per unit themself unlike the a b and c that will already know the price is fixed and their supply hour is not achievable ...
Md meters means maximum demand meters used by people that consume large quantity of electricity while non md meters are for residentials

It's unfortunate to reside in this part of the world.
Basic amenities are lacking, residents are not only secured but neglected by the government.

don't say that. those guys have more power to supply. The issue is that customers shl be metered.
At d end, you wl pay for what you never used ...
Imagine, asking someone in Ikorodu who barely stays at home to pay for the 14 hrs they supplied

It seems they are playing politics with making prepaid meters available to all households.

I don't know why.

I won't even pay more, because I don't enjoy 8hours light per day.

Hmmmm. This government nawa o...I got my own shock of the new tariff this evening of 2/09/20. I usually recharge online using the buypower app for my flat in Zaria-Kaduna. I recharged for N 1600, after removing the service charge of N 100 & VAT of N 105, I was left with N 1395 for the cost of electricity. My greatest surprise the worth of unit from the N 1395 was 24.5 units implying the new cost of electricity for R2-SP meter category is N 56.25. Imagine the new tariff jump from N 26.35 per unit to now N 56.25 per unit

I was surprised. I paid for 2k worth of electricity and recharged, but what I got seemed more like 1k worth of power. I just came online here to confirm. Na wa for this regime. We'll survive.
