- Company FAQ: https://customersuccess.getcarbon.co/portal/en/kb/carbon-nigeria/investment-payvest - Insurance: No insurance cover of funds but their FAQ here https://customersuccess.getcarbon.co/portal/en/kb/articles/how-is-my-money-protected had this to say: "As with everything else on the Carbon service, security is guaranteed.PayVest investments are protected and always available for withdrawal, anytime you wish. Your funds are safe as they are managed by One Finance and Investments Limited (RC No: 1044655), which is licensed and regulated by the Central Bank of Nigeria." - Limitations: -- You can only have 5 running investments (gotten from their FAQ). -- You can liquidate your investment at any time but doing so may cost you the accrued interest. - Summary:
Cons -- It’s not clear if they’ve been deregistered by CBN or CBN has just forgotten to mention them on the actual pages of their site apart from a PDF file they last updated on 31st December, 2019. -- The max possible interest is 15-16% per annum subject to a withholding tax of 10% on that interest, giving a take home of 13.5-14.4% per annum, which is rather low- especially in the eye of an investor that’s coming from the agritech sector. -- PayvestCarbon is only available on Android at the moment. -- If you liquidate your investment before maturity, it may cost you the accrued interest. In detail, here's what they have to say: (source: https://customersuccess.getcarbon.co/portal/en/kb/articles/will-my-investment-be-affected-if-i-liquidate-my-investment-before-maturity)
Pros -- It seems to belong to a stable company that has been running business for a while. -- The owners are visible online and can be contacted and held accountable if PayvestCarbon has hiccups. -- One Finance was registered with CBN as a finance company as recently as 31st December, 2019. -- You can liquidate your investment at any time. -- This looks like a low-medium risk investment to me. (IMO only treasury bills is low risk, and no investment is no risk investment). -- Diversification: It's an investment in another industry apart from agri-tech, which helps achieve one of the goals of this thread: diversification.
Once your investment is 30 days old, you will get your first payment during the next payment cycle which is the Monday after if that day is not a Monday. I have confirmed this multiple times from them directly. The payment will be made on the next Monday not one month after. Thanks
spiceeamiee: @TokyoBulls please see this. I guess this puts it to rest then. MummyIMadeIt has also clarified. I only stated what i was told as at when i was making my own inquiries.
I'm not affiliated with any of these businesses contrary to what anyone thinks and its always funny that this is the default conclusion once someone says something that everyone does not agree with.
Well done. Very in depth analysis. In truth, the ROI is low when compared with Agritech. I see them as something you can use for your untouchable savings rather than for investment.
I mostly agree, especially now that treasury bills is so unattractive.
the one question i have about this "the map crmi" is...if d investor makes 110% ROI of his investment in jx 3months...how does the company or Owner of the company make profits?..what does he go with?...cos its important to know exactly what he benefits from d investment because if d bizness is nt profit oriented, then one shld suspect that the aim is to make investors money d profit on d longrun...so pls clarify me

My major concern too. Though, not all of them is 110% ROI, some are 85%, others are 60% ROI..
I want to ask, who can tell me how long the business has been existing?

Good morning everyone. There is usually a cost attached to effective communication for every company. The CRMi was rolled out to bridge that gap in communication between clients and investors due to the sharp increase in investors of late. Money is made when enquiries made turns into investment. Putting also in my mind that the company needs to be in constant touch with investors, which could also lead to contract extension with current investors. I hope I've been able to touch or scratch your question. If I didn't answer you to your satisfaction, then you might also need to DM the company on their social media handles. Cheers!

Please do you know how many CRMi they truly need, there should be a limit. Or do they have office facilities for tens of thousand and do they need that much?
Someone invested in 110 CRMi here, I did 5 as well amongst many others. Is there no limit?
TokyoBulls: I tested with 10 units of small business plan (Location) from May to August 2020 before investing in 20 units of same small business plan in August and 110 units of CRM. I agree it's quite risky but look at the positive side. I also interact well with their managers, their riders and clients and believe their business at the moment will deliver the short term returns they offer. When they reach saturation points, they should know.
This contact +2349062547191 of theirs from their website was called just now and the lady who picked told the caller that there's limit for how many units purchaseable by investors and that's 20 units.
Modified: I also just made a call through to the manager you dropped his contact 0908 895 7265, he also said 20 units maximum for investors.
And about if they personally have units target they intend to stop at; when asked, his response was "When they, the company, reaches their limit, we, the investors, will know"
People keep confusing this 'limit' thing. 20 units for CRM and 30 units for Location. On CRM, when you register your investment on their website, the maximum number of units you can take is 20 so this is the limit people talk about. However, if you plan to do 50 units, for instance. You can pay for 20, 20 and 10 units and register these separately without issues. The limit you refer to is limit 'per time' not per investor. Check here to see the 20 unit limit (https://www.themap.ng/crmi). In case you want to do more than 20 units, you can load multiple times without issues. I can share all my proof of payment with you. Thanks

Thanks, I get it now.
May I chat you up on WhatsApp and possibly be privileged to view the proofs?
Yes. Pay, register on the website, in about 2 minutes you will get email confirming your investment. Once your payment is confirmed, you will get an invoice and an MoU
nicestlady: Hello guys. Has anyone here ever invested in ZCPI africa? I invested in their palm oil trading investment with 30% ROI in 3 months.
Since 14th of August. Up to now, no MOU or invoice sent to my email as promised. No response to my chats or messages.
Have I been scammed?
You can read a previous discussion about ZCPI below.
Tobi22: Did anyone invest with Zcpi? A colleague of mine invested with zcpi, return on investments including Capital are all overdue. She said no one is picking their phone calls and their instragram account seems to have been removed
