Hoping UBA will come down to sub-N6 self ![]() ![]() ![]() UBA is surely coming down, 56m offer as against 19m Bid |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mpeace(m): 10:58am On Sep 02, 2020 |
I am just wondering, amongst the banks that submitted audited results to CBN for regulatory approval, UBA was amongst the last, how come their result is coming out before the rest? I remember GTB and Zenith submitted way before UBA. |

Any stock pick for this week |

dipoolowoo: That's the first 5.1% of 51%. The balance of 45%+ will be done later. Probably when Custodian turns some assets to cash to pay for it. 1 Like 1 Share

Mpeace: I believe most of them will release their results this week. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmanuelewumi(m): 11:38am On Sep 02, 2020 |
TLAX: They should be able to pay the balance in less than 2 months. Custodian paid interim dividend yesterday. N8 billion should not be a big issue, they have enough liquid assets. |

TLAX:Does it mean there is still going to be a form of unbundling in UPDCREIT? |

ukay2: Sense man...you want to buy more at lower prices. It wont happen ![]() ![]() There won't be any meaningful drop in share prices they way i see it for now. I believe worst case scenarios have been priced in. .....or it may well be the case of information trailing share price instead of vice versa as we were led to believe about "perfect markets". Take Guinness as case study. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by TLAX: 11:42am On Sep 02, 2020 |
sky2891: Yes...that's what the presentation from the company suggests. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by sky2891: 11:44am On Sep 02, 2020 |
TLAX:Definitely, it will favour UACN shareholders. Right? |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmanuelewumi(m): 11:44am On Sep 02, 2020 |
sky2891: I think so, if you have UPDC shares |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by emmanuelewumi(m): 11:46am On Sep 02, 2020 |
UPDC has 1.7 billion shares out of the 2.67 outstanding shares of UPDC REIT. I think 1 UPDC REIT shares for every 11 shares of UPDC is possible |

ukay2:Why should UBA be punished if I may ask sir? With covid effect which we already envisaged will have serious impact on coy's 2020 Q2 results, we should rather say that UBA really tried for even paying any interim div self, not to talk of them paying 3kobo less the normal interim div. The donations to FG on covid is a form of biz in disguise if you ask me. ![]() Anyway, if UBA will visit sub N6 like you said, it can't be around this time.......let's wait and see what GAZ will pay first.... before concluding on 'punishing' or not. ![]() |

emmanuelewumi:UACN seems to be retaining 49% of its holding in UPDC. Please, How will this affect UACN shareholders? |

TLAX:Good day house is UPDC PLC and Custodian PLC good buys now? |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by TLAX: 12:24pm On Sep 02, 2020 |
emmanuelewumi: I believe so. They hold a lot of liquid assets. Besides its a borrowers market right now. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mcy56(f): 12:25pm On Sep 02, 2020 |
DUNKA:Keep eye on custodian and be monitoring it's price movement so you can key-in at relatively low price. Custodian is a good coy with good fundamentals.......though I don't know the extent UPDC % buy over will impact on the share price........but support has been sighted at 4.80 for quite some days now.......don't know if it will fall further or stay at car park for sometimes before moving Northwards.........not really a stock for jijoists but long termers.........my opinion. ![]() |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by TLAX: 12:32pm On Sep 02, 2020 |
DUNKA: No Info on UPDC. Custodian appears to be a decent company but "I" will not pay more than N4.43 for it. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Mcy56(f): 12:42pm On Sep 02, 2020 |
Mpeace:This surprised me too. UBA was the last to submit among the Ugaz. Wonders of NSE. Those guys needs to wake up to their responsibilities. |

Quite a lot of trading ongoing in GTB and Zee now.......seems result is around the corner... ![]() Or should I say quite a lot of attention on Zee.......GTB performed some stunts in Aug.......hope GTB hasn't price-in the dividend already. Lol. Caveat: Just observation. 1 Like |

Zagee:You ran when you saw some pullbacks and level of inactivity. Do you think it's easy to move such stock? Reason patience is key in this type of stock. The movers don't need me and you when they're ready. ![]() 1 Like 1 Share |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by Zagee: 1:41pm On Sep 02, 2020 |
Mcy56: No doubt. But not everyone has that kind of weight to sit in a stock ![]() That patience comes with a good steady cash inflow ![]() And the way I look at it, it will be more profitable to stick to an oil coy in diaspora than this one in-country. In terms of ROI |

sky2891: They still have 44%, very possible that they will gradually sell down their remaining holdings sometimes in the future. They might sell to current Investors of the company |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by OBAGADAFFI: 2:18pm On Sep 02, 2020 |
DUNKA: Custodian PLC is a good comany If Custodian PLC is buying 51% of UPDC, your take position in UPDC PLC and Custodian PLC . I believe Custodian PLC will manage UPDC PLC well. |
Re: Nigerian Stock Exchange Market Pick Alerts by TLAX: 2:26pm On Sep 02, 2020 |
http://www.nse.com.ng/Financial_NewsDocs/31355_STANBIC_IBTC__HOLDINGS_PLC-_QUARTER_2_-_FINANCIAL_STAT.pdf Interim dividend of 40k. Down from N1 in 2019 even though profit after tax & EPS increased. COVID 19 matters. I know most of the accounts will be released this week..... |
