Truth63: Nigerians always has a short memories, Please let me remind you people that are shouting government is bad. During president Jonathan era, fuel were sold for 97 Naira, but every December, there was always scarcity of fuel. A lot of Nigerians suffered so much that instead of cerebrating Christmas with joy of the season, they celebrated in Agony. I remembered I drove from Lagos to Ibadan searching for fuel and I couldn't get fuel to buy and I had to driven back to Lagos because I needed to fill the GENERATOR in my office to work and as I was driving back from Ibadan, I saw a filling station selling fuel and l drove in and the attendant told me they sell only black market and 50000 Naira for 50 litre, I started begging him and THE guy just left me there stranded. The money I was to use in getting three 50 litres kegs, I used to buy one 50 litre. The attendant whose salary was NGN 25000 a month, ended up making about a million Naira in one or two weeks and started building houses all over the place. During President Jonathan Era, You see children around 10pm, waiting to buy fuel at the filling station just to put on their "i better pass my Neighbour" Generator to sleep and I used to pity them a lot because I couldn't IMAGINE allowing my own children to be at the filling station around that time. Coming back from work, I needed to also get 4 litres of fuel just to sleep because there is always no light at night, l would call my gate man Ali, please take 250 naira and buy me 5 litres and Ali will go and come back and say "Oga dey say 5 litres na 750 Naira". Okay so I'm only going to break this down for you once so pay attention......let's say I have a chicken farm, great right.....chicken for everybody at home......now as great as that is I come to realise I don't have the means to kill and process this chicken.....or the current situation is that my current equipment can't meet with the demand for fried chicken at home, so I run the operation through several third parties and end up paying them in foreign currency....by the time I receive the dead chicken all chopped up and packed the price obviously would have gone up because currency exchange has come into play, transportation costs, handling, storage etc ....it has gone up to a point the people at home can't afford to buy as much anymore or even buy at all, now because I have neighbors I can sell this chicken to at a good price as well.....now with the money I make from that sale I take part of it to make sure the people at home can afford i do this by paying taking on several of the cost that the handlers and distributors at home have....I get to keep the economy at home going and the people can have fried chicken again....but when I can't sell the chicken to my neighbors at a good price anymore, I won't be making as much money as before, and with production cuts happening around every farm there's even less chicken to sell meaning less money generally....now with these constrains it will be harder to carry the cost is was carrying before, so I begin to drop them a little here and a little there.....now obviously this will make the price of chicken a little more expensive at home but the reality is despite these hike we still have very cheap chicken.....but if you don't like the way I handle my business at home please feel free to go to ghana and pay 350 per kg for your chicken....Bless. |

I've never read such a lengthy rubbish. Since buhari and his devilish supporters like you took over, has anything got better except in the news. Power supply is still as bad as before if not worse and now we pay more, security is worse, never in my lifetime have my street had to employ vigilante till buhari took over, we pay heavily for security and the government still task us for service they are not providing. Has the unemployment situation gotten better in reality as regards to the common man? No, only in the news, where are the companies and factories that have been built? Even on the news the unemployment rate got worse. Increased vat even in the telecom sector causing them to increase tarrif. Transportation fare skyrocketed, food prices skyrocketed, borders closed, fine but what is the effect on common man? A bag of the local rice is now 32k. Don't you have conscience? Why hailing this government? During a pandemic that has further driven people into abject poverty, government provided zero Palliative Rather locked down businesses and increased the price of everything.
