Only God can save Nigeria from the hands of Nebuchadnezzar. Sometimes, God allows his people to go through this level of torment to teach them a lesson.

No Christian should have voted for APC in 2015. It is the party of Locust and Cankerworm.

God has given us brain to think. Most Nigerians lost the opportunity of electing a good leader but they blew it out of the wind.

Nigerians always has a short memories,
Please let me remind you people that are shouting government is bad. During president Jonathan era, fuel were sold for 97 Naira, but every December, there was always scarcity of fuel. A lot of Nigerians suffered so much that instead of cerebrating Christmas with joy of the season, they celebrated in Agony. I remembered I drove from Lagos to Ibadan searching for fuel and I couldn't get fuel to buy and I had to driven back to Lagos because I needed to fill the GENERATOR in my office to work and as I was driving back from Ibadan, I saw a filling station selling fuel and l drove in and the attendant told me they sell only black market and 50000 Naira for 50 litre, I started begging him and THE guy just left me there stranded. The money I was to use in getting three 50 litres kegs, I used to buy one 50 litre. The attendant whose salary was NGN 25000 a month, ended up making about a million Naira in one or two weeks and started building houses all over the place. During President Jonathan Era, You see children around 10pm, waiting to buy fuel at the filling station just to put on their "i better pass my Neighbour" Generator to sleep and I used to pity them a lot because I couldn't IMAGINE allowing my own children to be at the filling station around that time. Coming back from work, I needed to also get 4 litres of fuel just to sleep because there is always no light at night, l would call my gate man Ali, please take 250 naira and buy me 5 litres and Ali will go and come back and say "Oga dey say 5 litres na 750 Naira". I would have to buy it because family needs to sleep. Nigerians here is The Truth, today so many companies are moving to GHANA instead of Nigeria, Why? Ghana asked our brothers to Give them 1 million dollar and all of you are blaming the government. In GHANA when I was there, Petrol was sold for 350 Nigerian naira when converted to Ghana cedi and I was also shock to see many Shell petrol filling Stations in Ghana. Let me also remind all of us that DUNLOP and most multinational companies are moving to GHANA and we never asked why?.
In Nigeria, people will order 1 dollar item from china and they will sell it for NGN25000 because they want to make high profit. If you don't want to pay for fuel, investors will not come to Nigeria and they will instead go to Ghana where they can make profit. They will also build their refineries in Ghana and they will continue to buy your crude oil. Every investor want to make money like you. Also, your sons and Daughters will be unable to get married and then you begin to go from pillar to post to pray and fast for marital breakthroughs because when they finish University, they are unable to get satisfying jobs.
Please look around you, how much is a 2 bed room flat today in Lagos? Those who say the government is bad, are actually your enemies. Please look around you, from oshodi to yaba to lagos to ibadan, some of your streets are have been fixed with interlock bricks. If we Nigerians do not want to endure and we are listening to people who, because the Government does not allow them have their free way to do whatever they want and they are using us by giving us the wrong information and we are acting based on that and then we have ourselves to blame.
Please look around. The youths want to migrate to Canada, USA, Australia etc and are facing some hardship they don't tell. Some of them cross the Sahara deserts to Europe and perish in the sea. If we don't want our sons and daughters to start thinking that till they move to these places they cannot succeed then we have ourselves to blame. If all of you want the type of president Jonathan's Government since that is what you are craving for, may God almighty grant your request.
However, when that is granted, please don't complain.Kindly endure.

So does that warrant increment in VAT and forceful extension of stamp duties to savings account? Just tell me one reason thing this government had done that it is been felt by all Nigerians?.

I know where you are going but also ask yourself what work Nigerians are also doing that they want to be collecting American minimum wage....that aside remember we still import a lot of our crude....which is about to change.
I know it must be hard for you to see and understand right now....but Nigeria is on a path to Grace......all these are small sacrifices that must be made along. Best put as a doctor would say before it gets better it's going to get worse.....but I promise you before the end of Buharis second term even you won't be able to argue with the results.
Nigerians work 8 to 6. In the US, they work for less hours, you must have sense in jesus name.

Look deeper and you shall see the growth....start from the ease of doing business and take a look at commercial operations.....and you will see growth where others without vision decide to throw shade.
the fact that you have to search for growth simply means there is none. Growth is portrayed by improved standard of living for the common man. Maybe we should use telescope to search for the growth.

That party enabled you have access to telephone. Within the space of 5 years many Nigerians where connected to the GSM network whereas within the space of 5 years during this government many Nigerians became impoverished. At least during the 16 years of PDP, many Nigerians could afford three square meals,a bag of rice was around N8,500. During the era of PDP the economy was better whereas during APC we were tagged the poorest country in the world. This government is so weak that certain service provider increased their tariffs inspite of the directive to halt it. At least PDP respected court orders to large extent while APC's era they rarely do.

Did you pay for VAT after making calls, after withdrawing cash from the bank, when browsing, etc under PDP? PDP did not perform well, how much was our foreign and local debts under PDP? They didn't perform well, were people arrested every where for criticising or protesting against PDP government? Under PDP regime how much was the prices of commodities in the market, like rice, tomato, garri, and every other things compared to today? Under PDP, was this country so divided along ethnic and religious line?
There are so many things done under APC govt. that even unborn children can attest to, but you are previledge to witness all those things and still came up with this trash, well, let me assume you were under the influence of kogi weed.

Nigerians are funny

When GEJ raised prices from 65 to 140 in 2012 ,Nigerians were on the street protesting...including Bubu and the gang. Under pressure, GEJ reduced fuel prices to N97, and probably emptied a large part of our reserve to maintain it at 97, and later 87.

Now, Bubu is in power, he has seen what GEJ saw (he probably knew back in 2012 that GEJ was right, but this was too sweet a political opportunity to pass up),and is raising prices because now he knows why GEJ did what he did in 2012.

But trust Nigerians.

All of you Nigerians crying, here is the thing. We cannot afford to keep petrol prices low for ever. We should have removed this fuel subsidy of a thing since 1993 when baroness Chalker came and told us on behalf of the IMF but instead we were abusing her as oyinbo agent of destruction. We should have heard in 2005 when Obasanjo minister warned is that fuel then was cheaper than coke, and was unsustainable at that price, but no, we wanted cheap fuel

Subsidy prevents us from having good refineries because the more we keep on controlling prices, Nnpc cannot make a profit to even fix the refineries. Refineries cost far more than NNPc has to repair them. Then the sabotage and looting happens because NNPC is a government thing, and that's the only way NNPc workers can make money. If NNPC was private, and fuel prices were controlled by the marketers , we would have long since had working refineries because now they have to work, or NNpc and it's workers become broke.

All this complaining, is because Nigerians want to pay N30 per liter for fuel. You want cheap price for fuel without considering how the people who transport and sell the fuel to you will survive. 90 percent of them are ordinary Nigerians like you and me. Yet your desire for cheap fuel is making them suffer...because ypu think that it is the marketers who get all the money.

Look, I don't back Buhari. I never voted for the man, never will. I never voted for any PDP candidate. I regard APC and PDP as two parts of the same.party.

But the fact is, for our refineries to work, for our oil to flow , we must privatise Nnpc and let the marketers, not the government control the price of fuel and end the whole subsidy , and yes government still pays subsidy they call it underrecovery, but it is subsidy...and while you would pay over 200 Naira per liter of fuel, smuggling will stop, more refineries would be built, more investment would flow in, more jobs would be created, and at the end of the day, prices will fall

In fact, kerosene and diesel are no longer subsidised. Time for petrol to follow suit.

Nigeria cannot afford to keep oil low

And if you are a PDP or GEJ supporter reading this and thinking of calling me an APC supporter, know that I would have said thi s back in 2012, and APC supporters then would have called me PDP supporter. Just to tell you that this is not politics.

God richly bless you brother.

How long Nigerians would want subsidy, its frauds and the attendant drags on our Commonwealth to persist is not something I'm not quite sure of, but it is really saddening to read about ill-informed opposition/protestations to little steps taken in the direction that would achieve greater good.

As for subsidy (now veiled as under recovery), I thought we moved away from that lexicon a few months ago? Now it quite seem the government made the statement because of the IMF loan they wanted then, coupled with the fact that oil was selling very low (that oil supremacy battle between Saudi-Arabia and Russia). And it is most unfortunate!

We would have to eternally put up with the "losses" yearly posted by the NNPC if we fail to deregulate and allow private investors drive NNPC to its eventual death with the kind of competition that would ultimately create jobs, curb waste and marginally increase our collective economic prosperity.
