The sigh of relief from Adam Silver that we're going to have a Bron vs Beard series can be heard from here.

Very interested in seeing how the Lakers size advantage plays out in the postseason because based on regular season alone it's hardly been a factor

Hall of Fame guard Steve Nash has signed a four-year contract to become the next coach of the Brooklyn Nets, sources tell ESPN.

Wow

I didn't see that one coming. I would imagine they had a conversation with KD/ Kyrie before going with Nash.

Harden came through! We have lots of cleanup to do though. Cant play Lakers like this
Barely. A 20 year old undrafted kid was giving him that work on both ends of the floor till that moment.

Next time somebody calls Harden the most dynamic scorer in league history where I'm at I go give am better konk for head. The hype job is sickening. This man has literally one boring ass move

The Steve Nash hire? Lol is he nuts?

Steve Nash played the most cerebral position on the floor for two decades, it's laughable to suggest he's not qualified. Is Derek Fisher white?

Fuckin hell!! What a finish. Thought the Theis dunk wrapped it up

Man Boston must be sick. Plays like these can swing a whole series. What on earth were Tatum and Brown doing doubling Marc freakin Gasol and left Anunoby wide open in the corner. Pretty boneheaded

Nothing won, nothing lost.. Going 3-0 up would have been an inaccurate reflection of this series. Everything to play for in game 4 because the winner of that game will likely win the series.

On to game 4

Oga, so what’s your point ? We already know all these you typed.

You said Siakam is not “Top Tier” and not average. Which is it?? You can’t even pick a side.

Ps: your attempt at sarcasm was lame.

There is above average bro. Like B students are not exceptional but there are also not C students are they. An average player is not even an all-star. guys like Tim Hardaway, P Beverly, Steven Adams etc are then what if you call Siakam average. The simple question is, are these other guys then bums? because that is the only category after average

Exactly. I stopped even answering the guy because with some people arguing is a waste of resources.

Scenes when the Raptors win four in a row.

I knew Denver were going to have a hard time against the Clippers. If not for anything else but because of their massive mileage at this point of the post season. It only took one quarter for that to become obvious.

I say the Raptors try that move again and they'll miss it 9 out of 10. It's just one of those things. Something had to go right for them in this series.

Denver are just KFC nuggets to the clippers. The broom is already out sef. It would take massive luck for them to grab even one game

Yea. And there's just too much quality for them to handle. It'll be over before they even notice it.

SAS has a point. Steve Nash has no coaching experience. There are other viable candidates for that position. I.e Mark Jackson, Ty lue etc but we know how things work in America.

Luke Walton did a terrible job with the lakers and he got a Job with the kings within minutes of him getting fired.

Black coaches aren’t usually afforded such luxury.

Coaching experience is overrated. What experience did Phil Jackson and Gregg Popovich have? Kerr nko. The truth is if you're good you're good. Besides talent is 80% of the job if we're being honest.

What makes Ty Lue more viable? We saw how terrible he was when Bron left

Derek Fisher with no experience got a 5 year deal.

Mike Fizdale, Byron Scott, Monty Williams,Mike Brown, Paul Silas all got multiple opportunities despite not being exceptional at their first stops.

This is Steve Nash FFS not some random white P.E teacher.

Black coaches definitely get opportunities in the NBA. People need to stop this false narrative and stop blaming every damn thing on race

Omo. If you give a capable shooter a wide open look it's more like 6 or 7 out of 10. Tatum and Brown were really dumb trying to double a plodding Gasol and abandoning Anunoby in the corner.

In the ideal world, should Steve Nash get a call up for the job before Mark Jackson?

The only reason he was signed is because of his relationship with KD.

What was Mark Jackson's coaching experience when he was hired by Golden State?

What was Jason Kidd's experience? Derek Fisher nko?

Whatever reason he was signed it's a valid one. The NBA is a player's league so if your star man says he prefers this guy as a GM it's better you give him that guy

Abeg, Warriors had Mark Jackson before Steve Kerr and there was a big difference. What was he doing before he became the head coach? Steve Nash deserves every chance he gets. He's a highly cerebral player and isn't new to coaching. Just let things be.

That Gasol situation is one of those mysteries we'll be discussing for a long time. Gasol ?
But just look at it from my perspective, 0.5 seconds left; you have to make a pass over a 7 footer to the whole other side ; OG has to connect with it and shoot a 3 pointer before the buzzer. The odds man, the odds.
Re: The NBA Begins by steady986(m): 4:05pm On Sep 04, 2020
Nick Wright was absolutely spot on about the Steve Nash hire. That's one of the reasons I love to listen to him; he brings facts only. The league is made of 20% white athletes, and there are 7 current coaches who are former players, and only 2 of them are black. I mean, what are the odds? It's clear that something is at play here. It might not necessarily be racism outrightly, but it's certainly white privilege. Why didn't Isiah Thomas just walk into the job for instance? Or Allen Iverson. It's only a white man that can walk into that kind of job without an iota coaching experience.

According to Kyle Lowry the play was for Freddy or siakam but the Celts defended both well leaving gasol who is a treath because of the lob.Brown made the error of leaving his man to assist in defending gasol whom tacko was meant to be guarding.

This is Kyle Lowry a 14 year vet. I'm sure that's not new to him. In plays like that all you really hope for is the ability to get up a shot. If it's now wide open again then even better. If you're wide open and uncontested there is a 40% chance you hit the shot which is more than enough
