Whatever you do make sure you get a very good grade at least a second class upper degree. Where you'll work may not relate to your field of study. 1 Like |

justebuka: Next time you pick up a newspaper, pay close attention to the vacancy section. There is an 8/10 chance that you will find the answer to your question. But I know some companies always ask for sociology degrees when looking to fill up positions in PR and customer service departments. That should give you a fair idea where you belong with your degree. And hey, be proud of what you studied, man. "Professional course" or not. Wonder what that means... 2 Likes |

with sociology, u can work in any para-military.be it customs, immigration, prisons and the likes of DSS, NDLEA Criminologist e.t.c. but due to the harsh economy of nigeria, where by u have to know someone before you can get a job, will not let you function or fit into the right role or job.sociology is very broad and a good course.i have a bsc and msc in sociology, and am currently working in a logistic firm. |
