justebuka: Work extremely hard. I wrote in some thread before, the steps I took to make a 1st Class. Make a 1st Class. Engage in writing publications and articles during your 1st degree. Go for a Masters. I'm certainly sure you will get a scholarship. Write and publish during your Masters. You will earn a PhD scholarship with that. Then come back to this thread and write your experience. 5 Likes |

Sociology is a good course and always proud of being a sociologist. But this Nigeria our country did not require your field to secure you a related job except for those who study engineering. Anywhere you found your self give glory to your God and wish yourself all d best. |

WELL AM A GRADUATE OF SOCIOLOGY, U NEED TO UNDERSTAND THE CONCEPT OF SOCIOLOGY FIRST, IF U DO U MAY NOT NEED TO WORRY ABOUT WHAT NEXT AFTER GRADUATION. IT MAKES U TO UNDERSTAND LIFE BETTER. WHEN I LEFT SCHOOL 2013 I WENT FOR MY SERVICE IN 2014 I GOT A JOB IN AN IT FIRM WHICH I DID FOR ONE YEAR BEFORE MOVING TO THE BANK, WHICH AFTER 3 YEARS I MOVED TO ANOTHER BANK AND I CAN TELL U I AM DOING VERY WELL. WITH THE UNDERSTANDING OF SOCIOLOGY I MASTERED HUMAN BEHAVIOUR WHICH I APPLY TO THE OFFICE POLITICS WHICH HAS EARNED ME SOME ADVANTAGE IN BANKING. MY DEAR AS A GRADUATE OF SOCIOLOGY U WILL EVENTUALLY EXCEL IN ANY CAREER U FIND URSELF 3 Likes |

For me, it is hard to see any field of study that doest fit to the Nigeria society. Just be imaginative and stop associating industries with fields. There botanists in banks and psychologist in petroleum industry. |
