Igbo nation likes blaming others for self inflicted political misfortunes. Zik of Africa formed alliance with hausa-fulani in the first republic, they blamed Yoruba for it. Late chief Clifford Ojukwu orchestrated and sponsored the first coup de tat but they blamed Yorubas for it. Late Col. Ojukwu decided to complete his father's ambition but failed by abandoning the ship. Instead of them to ask their sons how they shared food meant for civilians amongst themselves in the barracks, they blamed the entire Yoruba nation for it. Sir Alex Ekwueme lost presidential slot due to the activities of his ibo brothers that worked against him, they chose to blame the Yorubas. They refused to warm Jonathan about calling Yoruba leaders rascals, when the Yoruba leaders showed political rascality, they called Yorubas names. They chose to play second fiddle to Atiku and lost but we're happy to blame Afonjas for it. Another misfortune is coming due to their ego, miscalculation and disunity. Instead of igbo nation to present one of their sons as a presidential candidate, they will rather atikulate a Fulani man like the late Zik but, after failure will turn around and pass the buck to Yorubas. All these self inflicted political woes have not made them come together to present a common front, instead, it is egocentric, " Osuism" , the fear of Anambra people and superiority tendencies that make igbo nation to lag behind but, they always claim they are political gurus Imagine a governor of ibo extraction having a secret pack with security agents to kidnap igbo youths and exterminate them at night because of being IPOB members. The truth is that Ibos are the enemies of themselves. Insults and derogatory words are welcome. 10 Likes 2 Shares |

kingzizzy: Lol...I like your unfortunate submission up there you know. But wait, let us analyze why Igbos don’t have friends up north. The question is do Igbos even have friends anywhere? Igbos fight everyone and even themselves, they claim to be predominantly Christians but the kind of bitterness and hatred they habour are incomparable. Winners build bridges and form alliances while losers beat chest. 5 Likes |

Igbochief001:I swear with my genitals. PDP and APC will not fill Igbo candidate. Igbo doesn't have confidence to contest a thing that reeks on your above comment. Igbo vs South South na fear for Igbo Igbo vs Hausa or Fulani or Northerners na still fear for Igbo. Igbo vs Yoruba the bigger fear. I will not be happy to contest against Igbo because I have 100% assurance of winning but I will rather contest against Hausa where you will be elated when you are victorious. Igbo cannot defeat any tribe in an election in Nigeria and they already knew 2 Likes |

kcnwaigbo: Lol....oh my God, you people know nothing about history. Ekwueme was picked as a VP just to fulfill all righteousness not because he had any political credit beyond SE. Go and ask around or even research it yourself, the election was outrightly between AWOLOWO AND THE NORTHERN CABALS, infact Shagari was not even a factor in his own election in 1979.....same thing in 1983, 1993...the northern cabals were however defeated at the polls by Abiola but they had their way in the end. Let me tell you Igbos have never been a factor in Nigerian politics since the end of the war, it is unfortunate I agree. But I think Igbos have contributed to that a lot too, and Igbos do not know that their real enemies are the northerners yet they serve PDP. Although, the fact is that the Northern cabals have no friends in Igbo or Yoruba, they just use any, but Yorubas know this and have learned to outsmart them sometimes, this is painful but true. The best way to deal with the northern cabals especially in this democratic dispensation is for the south to unite, drag North central who are predominantly Christians with them and then teach the northern hegemony a bitter lesson. But Yorubas and Igbo leaders are too foolish to put their differences aside and work for a common goal. As for me ehn, I am from SW, I wouldn’t mind Yorubas supporting a qualified Igbo candidate in 2023, as a way to unify the south, cos the only way the north will have it in 2023 is due to the lack of unity in the south. 3 Likes |

kingzizzy: The problem with you people is ignorance. Bukola was born in England so he was born with British citizenship, he had no choice in the matter, he did not voluntarily acquire citizenship of another country, he did not swear allegiance to Britain. Ngozi deliberately chose to become an American citizen and in doing so she swore allegiance to America. It is part of the process. It is there in sections 66,107,137 and 182 of the constitution. Section 66 provides for disqualification from seeking election into the National Assembly (House of Representatives and Senate); Section 107 provides for similar situations in for the House of Assembly; Section 137 provides for the President and Section 182 provides for the Governors. In all cases it is the 1st item in the list of things that disqualify a candidate. For example, Section 107 provide thus: (1) No person shall be qualified for election to a House of Assembly if – (a). Subject to the provisions of Section 28 of this Constitution, he has voluntarily acquired the citizenship of a country other than Nigeria or, except in such cases as may be prescribed by the National Assembly, has made a declaration of allegiance to such a country; The process for voloutary acquisition of US citizenship requires swearing of allegiance. The difference between Saraki and Ngozi is the word “voluntary”. She cant even become a minister again according to section 144. (5) which states "No person shall be appointed as a Minister of the Government of the Federation unless he is qualified for election as a member of the House of Representatives." Basically, you people are carrying fight for someone who has turned her back on Nigeria.....Quite frankly, i dont blame her. 3 Likes 2 Shares |
