The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), today commissioned the newly constructed Office Complex for the Ondo State Internal Revenue Service (ODIRS) which was constructed by the State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN.

The complex is one of the landmark projects of Governor Akeredolu's administration in Ondo State.

The complex houses Office space, Banks, training complex and big hall for meetings and conferences.

Governor Akeredolu had earlier taken to his twitter account to welcome the National Leader to the state for the project commissioning.

In his tweet, the Governor said: "Today, we welcome @AsiwajuTinubu to Ondo State to commission our Internal Revenue Service building. There is no better choice for this commissioning than the mastermind of Lagos' transition to financial self sustainability."

At the commissioning ceremony, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu commended Governor Akeredolu for laying a good foundation for the overall development of the state.

Tinubu said Akeredolu has done more than talk development and dedicated himself and his administration to bringing development to the state.

He noted that since the Governor came on board in 2016, he has had his hands on the plough, recording one milestone after another.

“Among the laudable projects he has launched is the Ondo-Linyi Industrial Hub which was commissioned by President Buhari. That industrial hub will bring needed employment and economic development to the deserving people living in the Ore vicinity.

▪️Distribution of over 800,000 cocoa seedlings to farmers in Ondo State to boost cocoa production.
▪️Procured 20 brand new tractors for farmers in the state.
▪️Reactivation of the afforestation projects in Ondo State. 10,000 Hectares of the state afforestation projects sited at Omotoso in Okitipupa local government. The projects is worth N20billion and it has employed over 1,000 youths of Ondo state. This is a Public Private Partnership with Weewood, a Chinese company.
▪️Under Akeredolu, Over N210, 000, 000 have been disbursed to farmers co-operative societies in the state, under the FADAMA Scheme.
▪️Over 1,000 metrics ton of fertilizers have been distributed to farmers in Ondo state for enhanced farming.
▪️Distribution of of over 100,000 brazilian cashew seedlings and top quality oil palm seedlings to farmers across the state.
▪️Empowerment and training of about 6,000 youths to become Agripreneurs.

OTHERS
▪️Huge amount of money given out as soft loans to women, youths and the vulnerable through the State Micro-Credit Agency.
▪️Today, from a horrible inherited less than N800 million monthly chart, Ondo State has recorded sustained growth in its IGR since 2017. As of January 2020, the total IGR of the state was not less than N2 billion.
