Demolition work in progress around the Lagos national stadium ahead of the planned renovation. If all goes well, we may have Abuja and Lagos ready again to host the super eagles! 7 Likes |

daveP: As you made your bed, so shall you lie on it. He had the chance to play for Nigeria. He chose not to. We respected his decision and bid him well. Idc, he should be more bothered about improving his own quality so he can get a call up. Let's face it, even if he played for us, there's no way he'd have made our team at this moment. He needs to work on himself more 1 Like |

Ebere Eze needs the Nigerian national team more than they need him. And it is a fact that he should never overlook, if he does not wish to subject his promising career to irreversible jeopardy, which is very avoidable. It is a fact that he should embrace gladly for the good of his career in future. Rejecting the chance to play for Nigeria is only at his own peril. If he doesn't have that in mind then he needs to think twice. The English national team is a team that entertains sentiment among their players- If you're not an outright English player, then you have to be excellent to claim a permanent place in their squad. Judging by history It's very safe for one predict a short stint for a player with dual nationality playing for the Three Lions. Most especially African players. This stage is certainly a crossroad for the young talented midfielder. And I do hope he's aware and knows how important it is. Is Eze willing to take the risk? Is he good enough to believe that he can pitch his tent with England and expect a fulfilling international career? These are some of the several questions he needs to ask himself. Time will tell 10 Likes 2 Shares |

MetalJigsaw: I think they all know very well, and are willing to risk it. Let's not forget, most of them have never been to Nigeria before. It's very easy for them to take the risk, which they don't even consider a risk sef. Like komekn says, they prestige that comes with being called an English international is too much to pass on |

honestly i doubt a times if he's as knowledgeable about football like he likes to claim. recently Leeds that just gained promotion bought a player from valencia a whole la liga side o but going by his logic championship is bigger than la liga because valencia has no money smh. i think from now on i will just limit the debates i engage him on barackodam: |

i honestly don't hold a grudge against any Nigerian born player if they choose not to play for us. the commercial opportunities they get playing for England is hard to ignore not forgetting most of them grew up in the english system. plus they hardly have any connection to home except through their parents. The only thing I would appreciate is from day one they let us know they are not interested and not use us to get clout. barackodam: |

chrisooblog: Dele Alli did that, right? Yeah, I get your point. But it's a hard thing for them, really. Imagine them saying they won't play for Nigeria, England already knows for certainty, so they won't rush. Look at Tomori. Had he come out to say no to Nigeria publicly. England wouldn't have capped him yet, and he wouldn't be able to play for Nigeria again. The shame, because he already denounced. Exactly the problem Billing is having. Denmark knows for sure he won't play for Nigeria, there's no need to rush to captie him. And he, he can't rescind his decision again. Shame no go allow am 11 Likes |
