Are all this Nigerian Traders Really Making Money From Forex ??? by OGWILLS123: 2:40pm On Sep 06, 2020
The rate of people talking about forex now really got me thinking if it is that
lucrative .
meanwhile base on analysis it says that a good forex trader makes only ten percent of his or her capital in a year.
but tune down to Nigeria you will see someone in Nairaland promising you 30 percent of your capital in a month undecided

Is there any one making money from forex

Calm down and learn the skill. Can teach you how it works. It works for professional traders, not newbies.

The issue is that most Nigerians are still uniformed about what Forex really is. And with the popularity of sport betting among Nigerian youths which every riffraff on the street does, most people are mistaking Forex for Bet9ja.
Forex is trading while Bet9ja is betting. They're quite different.
Forex is gradually becoming the most popular business and profession worldwide, even those who have primary profession now use it as a second hustle.
Forex isn't 10% of your capital in a year, it all depends on how smart and sound you're in the market. You can make 1000% in a month, but just like every other profession and business in life, it's risky as fck. So if your balls aren't firmly tightened, you'd better stayed the fck away from it.
Check out some of these guys, Sandile Shezi, Chris Williams (Swaggy C), Shaun Lee etc. Those are professional traders.

Notatribalist:
You don't have to be smart to make money in forex.. You only need to be discipline.. Have a trading rule and be discipline enough to stick to it..I am a successful forex trader, and I am talking from experience.
Well, discipline is a part of smartness.
When you're smart, you apply the best winning attitude to a situation.

Yes,you can make between %20 to %35 in a month..It's very possible... But most forex traders you see in Nigeria are really not traders, they are making their money from training.. But generally forex is wonderful business.. I am a trader and I have friends both i n Europe and Asia that are making it big in forex trading business.. It's good business for some people and bad for some people..

Be careful some will see you as an opportunity to make money for themselves, I have a friend who is into forex and it is complicated, so I back down a bit.
I hear terms like candle sticks, pips, signals etc

Lol Forex ain't for everyone, it's not for people who wants to make money over night, and you can't jump on it without knowing the basics, the reason why people call Forex scam is because they are what I mentioned above.

and also don't trade with emotions, you are going to blow your account, and don't use big lot size, money management is still the best option.

I make around $2k/3k profits in a month, even though Forex isn't my only source of income, I don't trade full time.
so you have to understand the basics of Forex before you trade on a live account, and before you trade on a live account make sure you trade with a demo account for months, when you are now sure that you are good then you can use a live account.

10% in a year for a forex investor is good since their balance is over a hundred thousands of dollars but for a retail trader it's a disaster!
Imagine investigating $1000 and making $100 in 12months Won't you run away
The percentage thing is just trade planning and risk management but you have even a 10% daily potential if you know what you are doing otherwise it a death trap!!! grin

So why are the professionals exerting so much energy (even adverts) trying to recruit newbies under various schemes?

It's simple. The aggressive "professionals" don't earn that same money they claim to. Their primary source of income is the training they give newbies.
Isn't it the same way how a certain graphics designer here keeps looking for trainees who he'll teach how to make 170k monthly on graphics. Which makes me wonder how someone who earns over 170k monthly will be looking for trainees who'd pay him a meagre fee rather than focusing on the numerous jobs he takes from clients that guarantees him the above figure monthly
