I feel coaches had a hand in the way Etebor's career had stunted. The boy is not a midfielder proper. The attempt to mould him into a midfielder which goes contrary to his natural abilities( left wing forward or a support striker) is largely responsible for his derailment. If the coaches had done right by him you would have created anotber Daniel Amokachi. 1 Like |

seankafor:not really. Nwakali is more like Yaya toure kinda baller with eyes for mesmerizing run and spectacular pass splitting defence, couple with heavenly-curve shot that always keep the goalkeeper stranded. Nig VS athletico Madrid comes to mind. 1 Like |

Omanambala: Remember those 4 goals in the olympics. I suspect Galatasaray can see this and that is why they are keen on him. |

fabyom: Even before he played for the national team Etebor was an attacker with Warri Wolves and scored tons of goals. Have you noticed he is always erratic and error prone in the midfield. He is an attacker 3 Likes 1 Share |

elunico: Not to mention the fact that it would affect the coach's effort to build a stable team.. constantly changing squad isn't good! It's good to invite new players, but it's better to stick to a particular starting eleven as long as they are performing... |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by Danielnino00(m): 5:28pm On Sep 07, 2020 |
Omanambala: I totally agree with this.. Etebo's qualities are more suited for an attacker.. his pace, stamina and agility makes him thrive more as an attacker.. That CM role isn't helping him at all.. |

Omanambala:naija coaches and the if you wantu be a pro, then get ready to play anywhere anyday. Its inevitable. I think they balance this stance, cos its killing loads of talents for me. Some european coaches do it too. And it backfires. The fact that it has a few success here and there has made it seem like one kine blessing for a naija upcoming pro. |
