Why not start such a reality show and you will learn the cold, hard lesson of capitalism: simply put, nobody wants to watch such shows. Even in the US, Big Brother, Survivor all do better than business reality TV.

On Siasia, people can choose who they want to give money to. It's their choice. People need to stop being emotional. One could argue that even Siasia should not get a cent of donations as there are starving children in Okokomaiko more deserving of charity.

Well I share your sentiments. But it has to do first of all with the level of exposure each fundraiser receives.

BBN and Erica has been a news item on most blogs and SM accounts young people follow from the onset.

Young people are consistently and constantly bombarded with news from the show, whereas Samson Siasia’s unfortunate predicament and the ensuing fundraising doesn’t receive nearly a tenth of the same exposure the former does.

The truth is it’s not the public that shapes opinions, it’s the media houses.

I hope this news also helps Samson Siasia as this is the first time I’m even hearing about a fundraiser for his arbitration.

Best graduating student gets 10,000 naira as award for the countless hours spent studying, going for lectures, buying handouts, enduring abuse from students and lecturers, going hungry, eating oil rice, drinking garri incessantly and other things I couldn't mention.

I made a decision not to be triggered by this as it happened last year (with Tacha) and probably previous years, but I just have to make my point right now.
Nigerians deserve EVERYTHING this administration gives to them. One night, when I was less busy, I joined my sister and mother to watch the show and I saw some messages on the screen by some fans of the show. Some claimed they spent 12 hours watching the show non-stop, I was shocked, but that was the least shock, I subsequently saw others that claimed to watch for 18 hours and 24 hours, and while they may not all be correct, it shows just how jobless Nigerian yoouths are. They cannot think outside the box. Tomorrow, you see them begging for 500 naira to buy recharge card, you see the girls selling their bodies for 300 naira indomie and egg, why? Because they invested all their time and energy into something that isn't bringing income to them.

Well, kudos to the organizers of the BBNAIJA stuff. They researched their market well and saw that Nigerians are gullible ediots that once they get hooked, they cant be unhooked till the show is over. Lol, till today, Tacha fans who call themselves Titans still fight on social media.

Kudos to the BBNAIJA organizers.
