I also happened to read of a similar case in the USA invoking a white family.. Daughter was molested, mother covered it up because it meant that child protection services would take away her children.( Said daughter,now an adult has no relationship with her mother)

And since we are mocking Igbos. I know of an Igbo family whose daughter was molested by a adult neighbor. The child's uncle , with the agreement of the extended family involved the police, and the family of the perpetrator cooperated with the police. No money handed over.

The only phone they have access to is the one at the nurse's station which they can only use in dire situations and calls made in the presence of the nurse on duty and to only numbers that were listed in their files at the point of admission.

Should it be found out that relatives sneaked in phones during visitations, they lose visiting rights for some time and most times it is fellow patients that snitch should there be a phone in the ward.

The reporter did not interview the husband and the woman's mother who she accused of collecting bribe. The police said the matter will be charged to court when the medical report is available. The one sign by Dr Chinelo is what? Rape is evil but we must get all sides of the story when is reported. For me, this report is incomplete.
