Well after my pop 25th August 2019, I stayed in the community for about 3-4 weeks to calm my nerves and get myself together though I was still attending some certificate courses then, I had to conclude everything before leaving, I did Hse 123, Data processing and strategic management . After the period I was the last person in my batch left behind though around my residence, I got to Abuja my base around September 15-20 8 can't really remember and it's took me 2-3 weeks to set up my local business with the help of friends, older friends though because I hardly keep friends and the few I have are older friends, they really supported me and if you most take advise from me always keep good friends it's very important, one don't have to give you money but they can lend you and guide you, mind you anybody who lend you money is somebody you should hold with high esteem and never lets them down. The business really settled my bill and keep me moving though the income was very poor around 2-3 daily mind you I started the business with around #200k -#250k, around November last year, 2 month from the start I got an information about a recruitment from a top Telecommunication company in Nigeria which I applied as God will have it , it was successful I resumed training on 16th December same year and I received my confirmation letter just last week. I left my shop with my elder bro who graduated for the past 7 yrs and he is very happy with the business as the business is fully developed now and I bet you he have nothing to do with seeking employment for now because he is fine running the business and he realized he have been wasting his time searching for job. 17 Likes |

Ayilara1: Take anything you can from this piece:- When you start using words as 'better' to differentiate two different fields which solves two different problems, it's the first sign that you're approaching with an undesirable mentality. Considering the topic of discussion and your questions, I think you're about to take a very important decision that will shape your future somewhat from here on. So, it's naturally that you're seeking for advice here. When I was deciding to learn an IT skill, I literally spent more than a week doing my research and studying up to get a solid "overview". I read articles on medium specifically. Medium is like the IT world playground. Read articles upon articles. I came across a 108 minutes-long articles on everything IT. It was the longest article I've ever seen written. ALL this I did before STARTING the journey proper. I went through all those trouble because the last thing you'd want to do is second guess your decision to learn to code or do data science. You may end up spending more than a year without learning anything because your head and heart is not in the right place initially. It may take you years to grasp any of the path you're contemplating. So take a few days to read ALL WHAT you can about data science and web development, independent of each other. So don't start asking Google which is BETTER. Instead, ask what is web development and what is data science. Whether you neglect or do both, focus on asking the right questions first. Don't take shortcuts when you're doing something like a 'feasibility study'. Since I started on the programming pathway, I've only face what we call the 'imposter syndrome'. But I've never had self-doubt as to whether I made the right decision or not. And you can only give yourself that level of self-assurance when you know the PROS and CONS of what you're into. Good luck 22 Likes 2 Shares |

donestk: That is what has killed so many businesses in Nigeria. And new entrants will follow old stories and jump in and waste their capital. Most guys don't follow the trend. You.will see a business sector doing so well today, 5 years down the line, the sector becomes a ghost house. |

Currently in my finals studying engineering, m into computer networking, have some certifications already but gathering money to take ccnp(i have my tutor as connect, he is a consultant and ready to assist me after graduation getting a job on this line)... Currently teaching 2hrs daily and earning 60k monthly, hoping to double this income by next month tho since m getting more link up to teach.... I believe which ever part you choose just be the best at it, when i started teaching b4 lockdown I was paid jst 5h per hours, I didn't mind jst wanted to impact knowledge but that service have opened doors for, my prayer is for university not to resume, because there is money in teaching if you are very sound... God help us all, reading comments here make graduation dey tire me, but i believe God... Work like you have not prayed and pray as tho you will never work 3 Likes |

tunbebes:Hey there, yes you can work from home for any company as long as you prove your worth. I have quality videos on various courses in various programming languages. These courses are perfectly suited for beginners. All you need is your computer and power supply. The videos are offline and you can watch and rewatch and keep it as reference. Let me know if you are interested. I'm also going to be there to answer your questions, I have three people learning with my videos and they are doing so well. I'm a practicing software developer with a degree in computer science btw |
