Hey there, yes you can work from home for any company as long as you prove your worth.
I have quality videos on various courses in various programming languages. These courses are perfectly suited for beginners. All you need is your computer and power supply. The videos are offline and you can watch and rewatch and keep it as reference.
Let me know if you are interested. I'm also going to be there to answer your questions, I have three people learning with my videos and they are doing so well.
I'm a practicing software developer with a degree in computer science btw

Who will answer my question, please.

Data analysis or the html, css and JavaScript route?
Which is better.

I should neglect both and move to something else?

Good advice please.
HTML, CSS and Javascript (more jobs, fast and quite easy to learn unlike Data Analysis/Science).

In 6 months time, if you are dedicated, you should be able to start something meaningful.

Data Analysis/Science(less jobs unlike HTML..., no be beans, takes a while to become solid in it )

I recommend Web design/development (HTML, CSS and whatever)

Follow this advice at your own risk grin

Did int'l relations in uni after graduation no job,I sent out application letters to every known major organization still yet no job.

Alot of people came with the idea that I should learn a trade and create job for myself,I put on my thinking cap but still yet I couldn't figure out what biz or trade I could venture into because of no capital.

Man cannot go and kill himself,I just jejely look for one hp system, bought Airtel WiFi,got a solar system that can power my laptops 24/7 and then start my bombing hustle and I have never for once regretted this decision because I now earn more money than the average bank manager.Even my colleagues criticizing me back then are the ones pleading now to learn from me.

The stuff is that you're a bloch head there's a lot you can do with international relations. There are sooo many jobs in the field but it's obvious you're not creative .

It's a privilege to graduate with a First Class
I can see you graduated with Lower or Pass(That's if you attended school)

Most of the First Class graduates I know in UI are doing well after graduation. Most of them are doing their Masters program abroad.

Let me tell you I'm presently in level 3 and I'm on second class lower and I'm doing my best to graduate with a very good result.

Mind you I'm a skilled Python developer. I'm preparing myself for life after school.

you must be out of your mind to say that data analysis/data science has less job prospect than web development (html, CSS JavaScript).
currently,in Nigeria, there are more data science job than web development (html, CSS,javescript). web development field in Nigeria is a bit saturated in Nigeria now unless you very good at it; its bit hard getting job as web developer this days in Nigeria for an average Tom but that is not the same for data science infact, many senior web developer are now going in data science now.

I did poultry business that's egg production for the first year after my nysc from the money I saved during my service year, then most of my friends do insult me that I smell like fowl shit.then I do sale eggs, mine wasn't enough for customer's so I do buy from other farm's in village's to supplement mine,I did this for like a year and some months, when my birds stopped giving me maximum amount of eggs u started looking for a buyer as God may have it,as I was passing by I met a man (Ugo from okija) carrying a truck load of old layers(fowl)when I stopped him to enquire weda he deals on birds,he affirmed he does so I told him I have birds to sale and at good rate,he told me that he just brought birds from ibadan that he can't buy more for the week,I insisted that I can sale mine myself if given the opportunity (the birds were consuming more feeds without laying egg)as God may have it he accepted but I will give him commission.
I finished the sales of the 431 birds within two hours and gave him his commission for using some part of his space.
the upper week he wanted to go to ibadan to get fowl at fabis farm, that week his conductor was sick and he needed someone to go with him,I obliged to follow but that I need to buy mine too, that's how I started the business.
December the next year a man that I do buy feeds from (emmason)called me to intimate me that there's a farm he do supply feeds on credit that owed him(capuchin farm's)a roman Catholic farm,he asked weda I can help him sale their birds during that festive period that they're looking for who to buy in bulk for him to recoup his money.on dec 21 they gave me on credit 500 birds at the flat rate of #1000 each I sold 1500 because it was festive period, before 1 pm I went back for more 1000 birds I did sale also for 1500each(then I the market I said to myself na so person dey get money)the next day I took 2500 birds did the same.
my people that's how I became a millionaire at my second years of leaving nysc,I don tire to type
I now own a school with population of 680 pupils and do other business also.
Don't mind my typo and errors

But please do I need to be good in maths to learn programming or be good in it? I really want to learn but I'm more of a social science person.

Ofcourse you have to be very good in mathematics. Programming requires a very sound analytic mind which most maths gurus possess. Infact if you ask me which is more difficult between maths and programming, i will pick the latter.

I remember when i was studying Engineering in the university, most of our scholars then were scoring average. Although most of the courses we did then were very close to LLL which most modern day programmers still find difficult and frustrating. But what we have these days are HLL which shouldn't be too difficult to grasp by any average discerning mind.

This is post is targeted at graduates of 1-10 years.

Few days ago, a graduate of 10 years threatened to burn his certificate, this got me thinking.. Is it that bad? A graduate of 10 years cannot map out a career path or business plan to follow tentatively. This thoughts actually formulated these questions..

Are you doing what you envisaged as an undergraduate, or are you utilizing your survival instinct's.
If you affirm the formal..
What is it?
What are your challenges?
Is it related to course of study?

And if the later is affirmed..
What are those things you do to survive?
What are your challenges?

Your experience will help mold undergraduates and graduates alike and in turn, deter them from towing that shameful path like burning of certificate e.t.c

Hmmm...spent three years in the labor market...life was hell..had to go learn sewing...before I got a job last year...
9-5 thing is really not my ideal life...na to use the learned skill do better out of this damn shithole

Did u learn programming online?

I use video courses, and I read books and web articles.

That method works for me because I prefer to learn alone from an already prepared guide, rather than from a tutor like the way we were taught in formal schools (or code bootcamp)

10 years after graduating and you can't find any problems on earth to solve with knowledge you acquired, then I'm afraid to say you're waste or you've wasted your time and resources.

Didn't even go to school, I read books upon books and find out to be rich you need to provide solutions to people problems.

I look around me, there was no problem... So I created one.
As sharp Yoruba guy, I enter Yankee begin dey knack oyibo "Ata" (pepper) for my neighbourhood and still cure them.. Naso I take hammer.

People wey create virus na dem create anti-virus.

All these sickness wey full world now, wey dem lie to una sey na from animals... Na people create them to take cash out.
Every sickness get permanent cure, but if them make permanent cure Na bad business for dem pharmaceutical companies, scientists and researchers... So dem give una temporal cure. Permanent cure means NO CASH OUT, temporal cure means STEADY CASH OUT.

To make money for this life na brain, nobi degree.
