Not impressed at all. From the exterior , it doesn't look secure but maybe going further might prove me wrong. It looks too simple too. . Just one single launch from Nnamdi Kanu's tank below might level everywhere but I don't pray for that.... one Nigeria. Together we stand.

Doesn't look secured at all.... intelligent terrorists can easily fire rockets from the top of that rock. Beating Nigerian security system is not a task at all.

Security will actually start from the top of that rock. I am sure there is an observation post on top of the rock. In ancient times, natural barriers are usually the best source of defence and are usually the best type of defence as you can predict where the attack will come from.

If Jonathan continued in 2016 and oil prices crashed like in Buhari’s time I wonder how it would have played out. It definitely wud have gone bad bt not as worse as we see and we will still protest and blame Jonathan because we Wudnt know it cud have been worse under Buhari bt then a few privileged people in power will still be lounging at the expense of the masses because Jonathan will refuse to act on their excesses and abuse of power or privilege.

U have been unlucky with leadership in this country. May we have better leadership come 2023. God willing.

Beautiful. I hope grenade can't be fired to ASO Villa from the rock. Thanks for restriction of movements

The rock is surrounded by 3 military barracks. The DSS headquarters is situated west of the rock. No hope for anyone getting close to the base.

The last picture labelled as "entrance" is actually the Presidential Banquet Hall.

Truth is, the tale of Aso Rock perfectly depicts the reality of the Nigerian State; where the leader and his aristocratic lieutenants are totally shut off from the people. Aso Villa is a fortress, meant to protect the leader from the led. Built for a dictatorial leader. The functionality of the complex is tailored for dictatorial use; a fortress, shut off from the rest of the world.

Asides the main State house Courtyard, that Visiting officials normally use and the banquet hall used for events, the rest of the complex are literally No Camera zones.
Even Google Map doesn't have a perfect answer.

Then, these pics are actually way too outdated. There's been serious changes across the complex (so I heard).

OP you call yourself a Nigerian yet you don't know how Aso villa look like? Same with me I don't even have any idea of the structure. Other countries citizens have seen their presidential villa but not us. Rather they will expect us to read it only in books without even seeing it. That also goes for the oil revenue, everything is secretive, plus a president that hides in secret, can't even come out once in while, so that younger ones can see him. I am very sure most Nigerians don't know how their president look like cry cry. Nigerians should demand for certain things.
The Bible says "The wicked runneth, when no one pursueth them"
The wicked are never comfortable with any one knowing, even a little about them; hence they make everything cryptic.
Imagine at my age I don't know how our Presidential Villa looks like.

Not challenging, because I am inspired by jobs that have a clear cut Path to attain.

It seems the reverse has been the case in Aso Rock.
In Aso rock occupants you will find uninspiring individuals, big armed robbers masquerading as patriots, you will see stack illiterates claiming to be what they are not, you will see dare devil ritualist, people who should not be found near normal and decent people. You will see renowned paedohiles and celebrated women abusers. These are the people who occupy our Aso rock.

Back to topic...OP you forgot to add that it is also a "No Fly Zone" Area. Meaning that any aircraft, helicopter that flies over the area will be shot down instantly.

See that rock in the picture below, the circled area has something like building on it...it is actually like a garrison with an arsenal of anti-aircraft guns on that place to fire ballistics against any aircraft suspected to be a threat.

Lai lai! If you are privileged to pass the perimeter of Aso Villa, you won't even know as a first timer that you are passing the presidential villa because all you will see is nothing but thick bush that is covered within a netted perimeter iron fence which is highly electrified!

You can't walk along the road by that fence because opposite is the Army, Airforce and Navy barracks with soldiers everywhere that will beckon on you and ask for your business there. If you no talk well, sorry na your name o!!

Heard that if you can scale the fence without being spotted by the eagle eyes of the soldiers and without being electrocuted by over 700volts of electricity, you will be accosted by very terrible beasts in that bush barricaded by another fence beyond that will eat every part of you even your hair. You escape the beasts and scale the next fence, you will meet another area filled with land mines... you get lucky not to be shattered by a mine because of your "Ethan Hunt" skills, you will then meet a legion of soldiers which are special presidential guards of the villa with unique defense and combat skills which you will have to contend with...They'll shoot you first before asking your "dead body" questions later.

Heard that these aforementioned security measures were introduced by the late former military Head of State Sani Abacha and is still obtainable today.

grin Nigerians sabi fool themselve die, see all the measures he listed thinking it will deter a would be attacker, if any one is going to launch an attack on that compound, they will be unconventional in approach and any gear they carry.

But why will anyone (big element )want to kill anyone that lives or work, ain't threat to 'em.

yes..from what I know about history, IBB was the first to occupy the aso villa but while reading soldiers of fortune, they stated that shagari lived in abuja when he was president. that a colonel(forgotten his name) died while trying to force enter either shagari's residence or the guards brigades(can't remember). either ways, I'm confused cause I know the guards brigade is just like the British royal army which is always close to wherever the president stays. someone should please explain to me. I'll add a screenshot of that particular page when I'm less busy
