Hello guys,

I have deferred from Fall 2020 to Winter 2021.

I am yet to receive a confirmation from the school.

What do I do next as regards ircc?

Do I wait to get a response from the school before notifying ircc or not?

How do I notify them?

Hello Demiiii,

It may be better to wait for IRCC to request for it. You can always send the school a gentle reminder if the duration of the previously sent email has exceeded 14days without prior acknowledgement.

Good morning gurus... please, i was denied visa for my study permit through GCMS information request please i need your advice on how to go about it or can i re apply. tanx my people. Please i don't know what to do an my biometrics is scheduled for next week

Hello Oonibest,

If you still harbour any future intention to apply to Canada, go ahead to give your biometrics. You've paid for it. After given, irresepctive of the final decision, it will be updated to your TRV profile and then saved in their database.

You may want to give the details in the notes so the knowledegeable people here can guide you with suggestions. Remain strong.

I got my GCMS note today and my study permit was refused based on the fact that they cannot see a logical reason spending so much in my education when my career / educational background are not correlated with the course of study.
Please gurus, I need to know if I can add LOE and some other supporting documents via webform or wait till they refuse it officially.

Hello Iphiegrace,

If you have any evident proof that can serve as a linking bridge, you may consider using the LOE and relevant supporting document(s) to make a clear case. If otherwise, you may want to look into changing your course to something related.

What is the generic refusal reason? If you feel comfortable sharing the screenshot to the VO's concerns, that would be nice.

Also, what school and program level did you opt for?

May Canada's soil be under your shoe soon.

Hi everyone. Thanks for your help always

After paying my first semester tuition fee of $6k, I have only about 5m left in my own savings. I wanted to use my dad to cover up as the co-sponsor, but the man gave me account with 6 months total credit of 13m and closing balance of 6M. Will this be enough?..... So the whole year tuition balance is $6k and $10k upkeep . Should he be the only sponsor? Or both of us?.

Secondly, his proof of source of fund,

He has 3 registered companies.

But the major 1 which I knew and grew up with, he isn't the one that registered it and he had been using it since 1990s. It was a surprise to me when I couldn't find his name on the company particulars. I didn't collect the particulars,

I have the CAC and tax clearance certificate.

Won't this be like a lie if I used this?. Also I can't say he's employed into the company cos he doesn't have a boss, even the current company office, he built it.

Or I should just collect the second CAC certificate without tax clearance as proof of source of fund.?. Thanks.

CC : frankrobbn1 , naijaforeigner , justmellow and everyone .

Hello Legacyedition,

This advice is my personal advice which MAY be dependent on your age, employment history/earnings/inflow-outflow.

Present yourself as a self-sponsored applicant. get your pops to transfer 5m to you inaddition to the other 5m making 10m to your name. This covers the balance 6k CAD for TF and LE likewise sundry needs.

Your dad can then issue a Letter of Support stating the aforesaid commitment and his intention to meet the subsequent year's TF if the program is 2yrs.

I really don't understand the part B of your query but however while proven to have a strong finance, keep the two eyes wide open on your HT. If you're demonstrating HT with your pops company, be very creative with any given claim(s).

To all the gurus in the house, please I have a question which is, what is the impact of the current visa processing time from Nigeria (25weeks) on the 2-satge SP approval process as announced by IRCC in July? According to this communication, the deadline for SP application submission that will qualify for this 2- stage approach (to get AIP) is September 15th for fall term 2020. Is this still the case?

Hello TeeMade,

There hasn't been any new change to the rules and date for the two stage approval. Irrespective of the current PT being 25wks., literally based on the gcms notes of some applicants, most applications are been finalized within 2wks less or more.

No boss, my gcms note is yet to arrive. I only noticed that my upfront medical exam was updated to PASSED and I assume my application is still running. So I’m trying to know if my assumption was right or wrong.

Hello Milo9,

Sure, it is. Stay positive against the odds.

I think if your father is sponsoring you, his companies can be ignored .... let him send the money to your account , the names tally and that will go along way .

Documents! Documents !! Documents!!!

I always advise , it works again you most times .

He is your father , he should pay your fees if you don’t have anything doing at the moment to raise fees.

If they require more documents they will tell you .

Keep it quiet and low , even if you get a rejection it becomes easier to adjust , not when the whole shot has been shoot!

Thank you sir...

Hi everyone here, I'm sure we are all doing great. My application was rejected May 12 this year that's my second application though, i initially thought of leaving Canada and try other countries but I'm back here again to give it another trial with good faith.
Firstly I will need someone to share with a link where I can request for my GCMS note
Thanks to everyone on here.

Thanks boss, the idea of transferring the fund can't sail through now, he's secretive, infact the account he gave me is his Suya's account. It can work by next application if need be.

I am 28 years old

I have 6 and half years old personal business registered with CAC with inflow of 30m in 6 months. Balance not that encouraging at 7 digits. Which will serve as my proof of employment.

[quote author=Pee2Jay9 post=93777292]Pls how did you confirm that nothing can be done about these applications whose GCMS notes have expressed denial, but it's yet to be communicated officially to the applicant? I think there's a reason why some have received refusal mails while others have only known through their notes. This is like the first time that people are requesting notes before decision is officially communicated (I stand to be corrected sha)
so I'll like to know how sure u are that sending more documents and LOE to address the concerns raised on the GCMS notes will be a waste. I'll advice people in this shoe to send more information u think will help ur application; afterall, it cannot be worse than it already is. Cheers

I totally agree with this your submission, there is no harm giving it a trial to counteract the VO's mind, having had the opportunity to peep into what opinions they have formed about one's application.

Breaking Limits all the way....

Hello Vslayer,

The same POF that will be shown for a 1year program is the same for two. What is required for the subsequent year's study is a demonstration of the POF and how it would be readily available. If you decide to opt for a year's program, you can always go for a second prior to the completion of the first.

All the best

Thanks boss

Dear Gurus in the house,
I just received an unsolicited mail from IRCC telling me that they have gone through my file and they can confirm my medical reports were received by the appropriate office (Nairobi).

What is the implication of this? I have written to IRCC via web form 3 different times. And have received 3 different responses after about 7 days of sending the CSE via web form- the last reply being August 31, 2020.

What should I make of this message received today? @Lekiboboe @Frankrobbn1 @Anon123 others kindly advise

Upon getting such response, I think the case is settled and it's left for IRCC to do the needful since you have a mail confirmation of the medical report been received

How do you apply the the College of the North Atlantic?
I tried to apply for GIS (pdg) and I noticed the application form is just to fill names and other informations without any place to fill in past academy records, references letters, statement of purpose and even transcript. The form just took me to where to pay and that was all. Please what steps do you took then to apply?
