I have no supplier that I can recommend. As a general rule I don’t recommend artisans or suppliers.

I’m blessed on the location of my current site. I just walk outside and flag down a passing truck, any passing truck and I put in an order.

I am beginning to develop disdain for stairs.....I use to consider it a cardio exercise but it's no longer fun, it's easy to install stair chairlift here as one ages or developed bad knee.... Bungalow is cheaper and eliminate stair climbing.

I’ll never build another bungalow to live in again. My next private building starting shortly is a duplex.

In my case I think it’s safer.

Our duplexes are designed differently, the bedrooms are mostly on the 1st or 2nd floor.......so climbing stair once a day is unavoidable.....good thing work places has multiple lifts or escalators...... bungalow seem a better solution for stair climbing and easy movement around the house.

Any help pls from any source, filling 380tons of Sharp Sand..

You see my friend, that type of foundation is called downstand beam-raft foundation but a special kind where the raft is built on stabilized soil.

For that reason, the action of the foundation work where the slab must have a direct contact with the sand fill (which must be compacted properly and CBR test carried out to make sure that the bearing capacity of the soil can safely carry the foundation.

When the void inside the foundation is left unfilled and decked like he did above, then you are not going to have any action and the foundation will fail by settlement.

The mix he used or using is not for plastering or rendering but usage as regular mortar mix to form walls.

Madam you still want to buy sand in tons?
It will surely end in tears cos u wont be able to measure the tonnage delivered to you.
This is what I am doing in abuja: when I started, I contacted four suppliers to deliver "12 tyre" truck load of sand at the prevailing market price. I then zoomed on the supplier that gave me the largest quantity on ground. I have been using her without any magomago. Even when she changed trucks, the latest was never below the previous quantity.
I don't think I can ever tell a supplier to give me x tons of sand or granite.
