Are you recommending Redmi 8?

Redmi 9 is better than Redmi 8. I have seen camera samples of Redmi 9 and they aren't bad at all. Also the stock camera gets better with updates, also there is Gcam to help out.

Redmi 9 and Redmi 8 have same Plastic back but it doesn't make it feel cheap. Redmi 9 has a full hd display Redmi 8 has a HD display.

The ball is in your court. The alternatives are RN9 Pro, RN9s, RN9 and RN8. Think carefully.

RN9 is more expensive than RN8. And even apart from that normally at the release of a new device the older is usually more expensive and the newer cheaper.

When RN8 was released in Nigeria, it was cheaper than RN7 but the same RN7 is cheaper than RN8 currently if you find it to buy.

1. camera isn't very good.
2. screen brightness too low
3. phone looks cheap because the back is plastic
4. phone heats a bit during normal use
5. outdated waterdrop
My concern is about number 1&4

You said you noticed the same thing, but I know the RN8T don't have a plastic back, the display is bright in sunlight even better than my own phone, my friend has one. Battery drain can be alot of factors not really having to do with any fault of the phone.

Does the Nokia 6.1 last more than the Note 8 you bought?

I don't know what you expect from your device but I got mine on Monday or so courtesy (redpanter)

The device is fast and snappy... I've not had any heating issues so far... It is way cooler than my R8A that uses the same chipset as the R8. I'm not a camera person so I can't say much about it. I've not taken pictures. The screen is bright enough for me and visible under direct sunlight.
I like the plastic back. It won't win any awards.
The price should be cheaper but then our weak Naira has made the device come higher than it should.
Performance is very very good, FOR THE PRICE.
As for the water drop it is down to personal preference.
The only negative is that the screen is a bit longer than my R8A.
The way my R8A heats up under small tasks, the R9 flies so far running those same tasks.

It is a good buy for me.

Those guys in gsmarena know their job but they are used to flagship devices so they could be a lot more critical than an average user. Adjust your mentality that you are using a phone that is not flagship and you will be fine...

The final decision rests with you...

We share the same thing... Enjoy your device jare.

acedsportsng:

I use a redmi 9 and so far the only issue I have is accessories.

1. The camera is quite good if you set it up properly
2. I don't know about the brightness being too low. I use the reading mode because of I think it's too bright at night. And I can use my device well outside during the day.
3. Are they not phones with glass backs that are cheap? Umidigi A5 pro for example.
4. The only time mine heats up is when I play heavy games
5. Most phones have a waterdrop so I don't understand how it is outdated

The best part of the phone is the fluidity and the battery. My sister loved it so much, she got one for herself.

good morning all.I want to buy the mi note 10 lite or redmi note 9s next week.So for i have been seeing reviews itemizing serious issues i won't be able to cope with. Please i need reviews from those using Mi note 10 lite and redmi note 9s currently. Are the issues identified in the screenshots below true? What has been your experience using these phones? I would hate to drop my RN5 that is perfectly okay to upgrade to a phone with issues.

GSMArena user reviews can give one HBP. Trust me, I've been in your shoes before. But each and every time, most of the things they complain about turn out to be false, which makes me wonder if we ever use the same phone or if they are paid to give the negative reviews.

Someone once have an in-depth review of the MI Note 10 Lite, and from what I read, it's an almost perfect upper midrange device; same thing can be said about the Note 9s which many users have lauded here.

Yes, that's true..But the proximity sensor issue on the mi note 10 lite is on blogs and YouTube as well, same as the dust entering inside camera of the 9 series. It's not a gsmarena misyarn. That's why i just want to know what people using the phone here have experienced ,so i know if i should go ahead or keep my money.Country hard o..If i am buying a 100-150k device,it should not have abnormal issues.

I haven't seen anyone complain of proximity sensor but do you know most people who complain of proximity sensor is usually as a result of wrong tempered glass they use?

Lol i wonder why anyone would go to read comments about a phone on GSMarena. The people under those comment sections are never satisfied with anything, they have problem with every phone. Sometimes i read comments about my phone there and i just wonder if I'm using a different phone.

Moral of this post: Stop reading comments about a phone on GSMarena, in as much as some of the comments might be true the majority are usually false and misleading.

If you want to buy a phone just check the specs on different sites to confirm the real specs, also watch different review videos about the phone and if possible go to a store where the phones are displayed for you to have a first hand user experience before buying it to avoid stories that touch.
