Right that's very correct which is what @mcTrinity was saying as well. I didn't mention the start up as that was not the aspect I was intending to address but yes those "inverter" setups are much better. My fridge could pull as much as 500w on initial, the freezer and AC are more notorious. I certainly can't see any reason why I will get a non-inveter AC going forward after experiencing a GenPal.

Now that my GK replacement boards has arrived and confirmed operational I can now plan for another energy saving gear in near future. Maybe the inverter fridge (with freezer). This energy sufficiency na fun journey o, but account balance no dey smile. grin

Bro, how good is the GenPal?

Hello, what's the brand of the inverter AC you are talking please? I'm in the market for an AC and I'm torn between Inverter and non-inverter AC, so I need to know what to avoid. Thanks

OK. Thanks. Now I'm more confused, lol. I thought LG inverter was good enough. Chai. I don taya ó

Don't be scared nor confused.
I use different capacities of LG inverter ACs

Aide memoire
1. Size the AC to the rooms correctly especially with the 1HP (1HP appears inefficient in a large room)
2. Regular thorough service/cleaning keeps up the efficiency
3. For energy conservation (which you will learn with time and practice) set the appropriate temperature and use the Gen mode

Note, i have not used any other type of inverter AC, but i believe they are equally good.

Best of luck

I use 1hp LG, n it chills ok.
Chris poor cooling maybe a peculiar case caused by dirty filter, condenser, or low gas

sorry to disappoint bro but it's already happening.
solar panels have been categorized as 'transformer' (lolz grin) in the new duties schedule by customs.
all in a bid to generate more revenue.
it's what you get when you have someone that doesn't know jack about renewables in a position of
authority...
another reason why cost of solar in naija is one of the highest around the world...

shocked

as promised earlier, i have been on my 260ah 12pcs zenith batteries since 2012. it's been a remarkable
journey no doubt, especially given all the lament on here about lead acid batteries and their poor durability.
7 years and counting and my batteries seemed to just go on and on. at a point i almost became confused
as to why i was having such a nice time with lead acid while the general opinion was anything but pleasant.
maybe i was just plain lucky or maybe i was doing something right afterall...
the jury is still out on this...

To think I was expecting you to end with "So, I want to sell them off and go lithium".

however, early in the year i had already started thinking of expanding my battery bank in order to
accommodate comfort cooling which hitherto i have been unwilling to include among my house loads.
so i knew the zenith batteries had to go (reluctantly)

then came the era of 'left-over project batteries' and i got an offer too good to resist. this started a
series of events that eventually led me to installing a new battery bank and doing away with my
beloved zenith batteries.

with lead acid!

in conclusion, while i'm reluctant to change a winning team (obviously lead-acid has served me well),
i'm open to new technology and definitely lithium will have a major part to play going forward as a
next steps towards acquiring even more storage as i continue adding power guzzling creature
comfort equipment to the house.

2100AH of 48v wow! See storage capacity! yes lithium will be a hype in those kind of lead acid you've now installed but when it comes to equivalent in space and weight it will still be lithium. For the zenit batteries however I think luck and doing something right happened there. Let's think about it, there were not so much low quality/fake batteries in 2012.

However Bros I no envy you o, else this one go cost me multiple organs! grin But with this you should be set-up for another 10 years+ journey cool

We all know that Lead-Acid remains the winning team...
Just that the few Lithium users are more or less like Chelsea fans... IfYouKnowYouKnow grin grin grin

I come and go in peace.

Congrats grand patron!!! More grace
