Hey Cyberknight, I think you can actually be more constructive and polite when replying people and if you don't have answers for their questions, kindly ignore!!!
If you are coming to the UK to study and live here hopefully, you need to develop your emotional intelligence.
What's impolite about telling people to read up on first hand , detailed experiences?. He even explained how to search for discuss topics. I still won't be able to understand your goad.

Like I said, if you can't respect people and answer their questions politely without being rude, then you don't have to respond.
Being polite and respectful doesn't make you any less of a man or woman.
Goodluck with your application and future endeavours.

I don't think that response was rude though, you need to see some responses . That particular response wasn't rude in my opinion.

Hi inphoenix,

What bank card did you make use of?

I have followed the steps above...tried it with GTB and UBA master card....all to no avail.

Thanks for your prompt response

I used Gtbank. You can chat with paga helpdesk on this whatsapp number 08099227242. They respond promptly.

Jumping into people's discussion is actually disrespectful as well as jumping into conclusion when the topic doesn't concern you is disrespectful.

I have tried using paga, paga verve to pay for my ihs. Keeps giving me error message. I am paying $2085 I donno if that is the problem. I have used different bank atm, browsers and even laptop. No success. Please what do I do?

For the IHS there is paga verve and there is paga.

Choose paga and create an account, upgrade your page level to 3 by sending necessary documents. After that, go ahead and fund the paga account my making a transfer to your paga account number.

Then go back to the IHS page and pay with paga

Lmaaoooo this just caught my attention.
I remember one time I attended a friends graduation and 80% of graduates where Nigerians. It was quite amusing because I never knew I could see so many Nigerians in one University. Funny enough I didn’t really see them much around the city the 1st night I stayed there.
Nigerians we hail thee!

Lol.
Here they come again.
I usually avoid the controversies here, since I just came to get some specific information when we were making our application, but when someone asks a question that has been dealt with and is asked to refer back to that discussion, just what is wrong with that?

Rule 14 of the Nairaland rules, rephrased, advises people to search the forum before starting a new post (or, for our purposes, asking a question). I have always found strange and mystifying the reluctance of the average Nigerian to apply themselves and do some reading. When you mistakenly mention emotional intelligence, considering that the people on this forum asking questions are about to or have invested millions of naira into acquiring an education, is advising them to be familiar with the basics of research in the internet age out-of-place?

Ultimately, we see people who are looking to be spoonfed in their hundreds when they apply to us. FYI, when they say the average Nigerian graduate is unemployable, statements like this one simply re-inforce the stereotype. Those in the UK should let us know if the white man is ready to spoonfeed them when it comes to job searches or if they are not ensuring they are up to standard in all aspects given that they are competing in a serious job market.

As an aside, I read this forum through in its entirety for its informational value, and simply by reading his posts, the excellent English in which they are phrased and so forth, one can tell that the gentleman you cited is obviously a well-educated and a well-exposed person, whom I have noted never involves himself in controversies or comments on things of which he has no knowledge. He's one of those whose posts I read carefully and with interest, along with mimilyrics, dduchess, justwise, mattfeuter, occasionally the repentant Skymoore wink and a couple of others.

Look for someone else to trouble.

Hello TheGuyFromHR,
Thank you for taking your time to share this piece.

Well, I would start by saying I was in many people's on this forum shoes years ago, which I did my application by simply reading the Tier 4 guidance published on GOV.UK and I didn't ask anybody a damn question and I went on to secure a 5 years work-permit just two months after graduating from The University of East Anglia, as well as two of my friends.

As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic which is affecting everyone globally, I have been working from home since march and I can tell you I have read this thread from page 1 to the current page and I can confirm your concerns about some people's inability to carry out simple research, as well as some people's rude responses.
Prospective Tier 4 students needs to know most of their coursework would be research-based and they need to cultivate the habit of carrying out simple research to find solutions to problem before coming to ask questions for clarity. so it is wrong for you to think I don't have an understanding of what this forum is all about, I can't recall for once when Mimilyrics and Justwise had to be rude with their responses and I appreciate the contribution of everyone on this forum to ensure a successful application process for everyone.

my comment was not meant to condemn anyone but for us to be more respectful, sensitive and be mindful of the way we respond and make people feel.

Thank you for your proportionate response. It's refreshing, to say the least.
I have quoted the post in question below.

"There was an extensive discussion of this some months back on this thread involving people who are actually living in the UK now, if I remember clearly. Go back and read it. I think someone even cited a decided court case in favour of their standpoint."

Could you tell me how this post is in any way rude? I would characterise it as straightforward and to-the-point. And reading stuff like this is what I do. As you say you currently live and work in the white man's world, would you really feel offended if a colleague or co-worker sent you a message in this vein?

If all the people whose reports and letters and windy stuff I have to read ("how was your night?", "Happy new month, sir) wrote in this manner, going directly to the point, I would be a much happier man.

How do you check your documents after submission? I used assisted service

You cannot "check" after submission. There's a submission/collection checklist that is printed out for you, the same one you present at the point of collection of your passport. It identifies the documents that were uploaded for you

Obviously, our definitions of "help" differ. In this case, someone asked for help, and was given clear directions. You say giving directions isn't enough; but we are all different.
In any case, let's leave this here.

@TheGuy @Slimmzyy you both are saying the same thing. I am just picturing you both using different tones to address the issue.
To be honest i have been an ardent and silent reader on this thread. One standard thing i have realised is that people avoid the stress of searching to get answers. The reason is they see an issue and they just come to the last page to ask a question. On the other hand its really is quite irritable to see a question being asked to have already been previously answered. So what's the solution?
Simple if you want to offer service or help please bend and do it. If you don't want to just simply move on. Why i say this is because the questions wount stop or end. We would have to live with it. After all they are our brothers and sisters. To all the advisors on this thread and the questioners I say GOD bless us.

For whatever service you may have applied for, just make sure that you statement of account should have stayed at least 30days before you present it. This is just to be safe. Then you appointment date can be the next day after printout. Cheers.

If you have a verve card you don't need to upgrade to level 3, just link your card go to wallet and follow the process, once you card is linked to your paga account, you are home and dry
