OGS have spoken to Woodward again. He have made it clear to Woodward that United will not compete with Liverpool, City and Chelsea this season with the current squad. OGS is stunned over the lack of ambition and was very direct in conversations with Ed.

No o. Ole is a yes man. He is not complaining. He is not blasting Ed in pressers. He is very satisfied with the squad.

Wait.

Has he submitted his list sef? Does he even have one?

I'll still say it again, if not for Van de Sar, maybe we won't still have signed anyone by now. Bunch of incompetent twats.

Same way they acted with Moyes n Mourinho.

Still can’t believe some peeps and “shareholders” here will ridicule you if you blame Ed and the Glazers for the lack of transfers this window.

This is the truth.

VDS just decided to help us out of love grin

Maybe by now, those who were defending the board might begin to see what the complaint is about. Except ofcourse, you decide to remain headstrong in your perspective.

After all that happened last season, United has signed just one player. And the new season has already started.

Na here we dey grin

Imagine.

Now is a very important time to back the manager up. Especially now. Now when there are signs of something promising.

If Greenwood, or Martial and Bruno cops an injury now we’ll be back to square one.

But no, Ole is the problem. Sign Pochettino and we’ll win the treble with Lingard and Perreira. SMH

Ferguson is the reason these guys on top were not discovered early.. he was an excellent coach.

I hope in spite of their gross incompetence, that OGS can miraculously pull a Ferguson for us.

EOD.

That’s the only solution. A miracle.

Else, the shalaye this season go plenty.

We should even be signing more than 2 players this season. Yet these fools will hand bumper contracts to underperforming players.

I feel say na craze.

Exactly. The team is just an injury away from wahala.

Once Martial limps twice on the pitch, Daniel James is automatically in the starting lineup.

If Shaw limps once, e don be grin

If Rashford limps once, JLingz / Periera / James don enter starting XI grin

Highly unlikely. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. We can start well but we won’t end the season well with a thin squad.

Can only hope for a top 4 finish. And that in itself is not even sure considering that other teams have strengthened significantly while Ed is doing gbasgbos.

True, rough season ahead considering the fact that our players looked knackered at the end of last season, lack of proper rest and proper pre-season. Squad not significantly improved either, the bench not trusted by the manager. Just 1 or 2 injuries to our key men and we're fvcked. God will help us.

Please let's look at things from another perspective, Lampard and Chelsea have signed Ziyech, Werner, Havertz, Chiwell for the same amount we used to sign Maguire, Wan-Bissaka, Dan James and Bruno. Chelsea even got two CBs on a free with Silva taking a huge pay cut to sign for them...

I know it's early days but you can't look past the signings Chelsea have made with a similar outlay to ours last season. Now we are chasing another expensive player that won't plug all the holes in our team. Pep spends a lot of money but most times he signs plahers around the 50m mark. For 108m, Pep will most likely get 2-3 very good players but no, we should spend same amount on just one player.

Maguire we signed for 80m hasn't proven to be twice the player Smalling is individually nor has he showned that he is twice the player Lindelof is. We are stuck with him now. Imagine looking for another CB a season after signing one for 80m. Do you think Joe Gomez is better than Lindelof? If Joe Gomez plays alongside Maguire, we will be quick to throw him under the bus but at Liverpool, with Van Dijk beside him, he looks good...

For 108m, we will get Neres, Reguilon, Tiago (Not a necessity), Upamecano or any other CB etc. Or we can get Neres and Douglas Costa in hope that one of them blossoms. If you sign Neres for 30-40m and he flops, we can quietly lick our wounds and move on but for 108m, I tell you it will be painful. I don't even want to talk about the added pressure that comes with such amount.

They fail to see it that way. There own is sign! sign! They just want the new toy around. Making a huge investment on a single player who is not Mbappe, Messi or Ronaldo has its consequences. If we had signed Maguire for £15m. By now we might had added him among the deadwoods, his price means we must play him. We tends to sign average players for twice their price and claim to be the biggest clubs in the world. Let's even calculate the amount Pep spent since he joined city and what we have spend. The difference is not much. The issue is we sign a lot of duds for extortionate fees, they play nonsense, we cry back to blame Ed. We are behaving as if not signing Sancho is the end of the world.

There are several players we can get easily on the cheap which can massively improve this team, but no we want a marquee colourful player who will come with too much pressure and fail. When you come up with quality low key players we reject them tagging them finished or not good enough, only to splurge big money on expensive flops.

When we were trying to sign Ighalo, I said we should rather look at Inngs but folks here shouted the idea down. Inngs later went on to have a magnificent season...Low profile but will do a job when called upon and won't complain about being on the bench.

Sometimes, we don't want to talk just so we don't start an argument that will drag on for days here. Look at Leicester, how much did it take them to assemble that squad? A fraction of our squad's worth but they play very good football...See Castagne that was signed to replace Chiwell, dude played RB and was excellent yesterday bombing forward at every given opportunity but Ole opted for Wan-Bissaka for 50m...

I don't think Leicester City have missed Maguire at all and how much did we pay? 80m...SMH!

Ole has to do better this season even without further additions if not he should be shown the door...

This pretty much explains in details the earlier argument.

Imagine, Chelsea have £440m funding from their owners in the last 5 years, followed by Everton at £299m, Villa at £193m, Fulham at £186m, Brighton at £160m & City at £142m.

But the opposite is ManUtd's case.. Na God go epp the club las las cheesy cheesy

Chelsea has 440m in loans from the shareholder, and don’t believe them that the fund is directly from the owner, he probably got a bank loan which he decided to have at holding company level. Meanwhile, as of today, Chelsea owes more than united.

You didn't even let him define the perimeter of what he means by cheap. By cheap does he mean 20 to 30million or 40 to 50 million.

Reguilon
Upamecano
Neres
Douglas Costa (You can sign Neres and Costa for 60m)

Truth is they're so many players out there.

Abi is not not before our eyes that Arsenal signed Gabriel for less than 30m?

How much did Chelsea pay for Ziyech and Werner? If they joined us, won't they have improved us massively?

How much did Castagne cost Leicester?

In todays market, 40m is cheap. That is why people were praising United for signing VDB. It's a steal.

Reguilon deal.
Manchester United are considering a move by days but won’t pay €30m price tag. Real Madrid also asking for a ‘buy back clause’. Personal terms not an issue - Reguilon wants to join Manchester United. Opening bid to be submitted soon. Sevilla: out of the race.

It’s quite interesting that you guys are focusing on inflows from shareholders in the last 5 years, can you expand to 10 years? Also, why have you not considered cash outflows for investing activities? That’s where you will see how much each club has spent on players.

Dividends of 140m in 10 years is nothing, compared to their share of capital used in acquiring the club.
