Not sure if am 100% correct in interpretation, but he said something like 2030 being a reference of some sort, according to his calculation and then the rapture could either happen like 3 years before then, or 6 years there about after, or 10 years or something. So it was like a theoretical analysis. Do I know if he is right or wrong. NO! I don't have any research or deep knowledge on it. But I won't just insult and ridicule him for putting out such a theory. Most of the scientific laws we have in the world today were once theories put forward by people and during their time many of them were dismissed by their societies as either being crazy or stupid or heretic or possessed or something negative. But the wise societies didn't write them off outrightly, they sponsored expeditions and research to thoroughly analyse whatever those claims were, and sometimes in the process of trying to check if such theories were true, it was either they discovered Yes, it's true, or NO, it isn't true and then because they were doing their own research they sometimes will come up with a modified theory or a new theory that actually works. These are the things that fuelled human advancement. There was a time the theory that man could fly was considered stupid and crazy and impossible etc, but look at where we are today, because some people actually took the time to verify or disprove those theories. So for me, I think theories are good. At least, it presents a challenge for rational activities and helps to expand knowledge as people try to either workout such theories as correct or prove them wrong. Whichever the outcome is, it is good for Humanity. Thomas Edison speaking relative to theories that birth research and inventions said something like, He didn't fail, he just discovered 1000 ways it wouldn't work. So sometimes, to succeed we must fall first. Is Pastor Chris right about his theory? I DON'T KNOW. I really don't have an idea. But I love the fact that he tried to do something significant. I mean, the rapture is averu significant event and if we are even able to compute and understand or figure out a correct period for its possible occurrence, I think that's a very giant leap for Christianity and the world at large. Now that he has put forward this theory, I believe and expect other people, maybe theologians or pastors or religious community to look at what he said, and make a review to try to understand it first of all, and then analyse it to verify whether it's accurate or not. In the process, more theories might come forward, and before you know it, someone might eventually come up with something accurate and factual, or prove whether this theory Pastor Chris gave is true or not true. So it will cause people to try to push their boundary of knowledge further and test their minds for better ideas, and this is a good thing for Humanity. This is how we made progress this far. All the scientific laws we have today, whether physics, chemistry, biology or science in general, they were all theories at the beginning. It was when people made the effort to prove or disprove them, that they became laws after their authenticity were confirmed. That's it. So me I don't know why some people now have to turn this thing to an insult contest. If we keep ridiculing people like that, then we will kill the drive for creativity in people, because they will be afraid to come out or speak about the ideas or theories they found about for fear of being stigmatized by society. So I won't support that. I support creativity, I support free thinking. Yes some crazy ideas may come from time to time, but it will die natural death when it is found to be false. But then again, the best ideas also come from creativity and free thinking. That's part of the beauty of life

He could be correct and was speaking with the unction of the Holy Spirit, and you would be a fool if you don't heed this warning.

He could be wrong because he's also a human just like the rest of us and God may still continue having mercy on this wicked world and give us more time to turn.

The reason why I said no point arguing about this is because, what truly matters is the certainty of the Day of the Lord, even if it takes another 1000 years.

Perhaps you do not believe in such certainty?

He is wrong and should stop misleading people.

A few weeks ago, he said 5G was responsible for the sickness which science attributed to Coronavirus. I'm sure if I search, I would find how you also supported the inane and downright moronic suggestion.

It would do you and the likes of Chris well to stop dumbing the already unscientific nature of Africa today.

Using mathematical formulas Pastor Chris derived his at his own Rature date...watch him below

If only you listened to what he said before jumping to post, you would have known he did not predict any date. He is only calculating a wide range of time he believes the rapture would happen based on events happening that the bible prophesied. Jesus said no man knows the day or the hour of his coming, he did not say we cannot know the season. Pastor Chris did not give any month or day or even precise year. I was expecting to watch the video and hear him say he believed Jesus was coming on the 31st of December 2023 or so, but I only observed you don't know what you're talking about

Read 1st Thessalonians 5:4

You really think Pastor Chris doesn't know what he is talking about? I am yet to meet a more scholar of the word like Pastor Chris.

Outbursts like yours reminds me that the Bible says the rapture will occur like the floods in the time of Noah.

Noah went around announcing the flood and he was jeered at.

Many years ago I remember Pastor Chris mentioning that the rapture isn't anywhere close from what Bible prophecy reflects. And that once the rapture of the Church is close, he will alert the Church.

And that's what he is doing now.

1 Thessalonian 5:4 is clear: the rapture isn't meant to take those who are in the light unawares.

Pastor Chris isn't stupid. He knows what he is talking about.

Shallom!

uote author=ENIGMATIC2023 post=93930356]Pastor Chris Oyakhilome : The Rapture won't exceed 10 years.

Thought the bible said, No one knows about that DAY or hour, not even the son of man?

But 10 years is approx 3,650 days.

It's a fake news or probably a message of doom

“But concerning that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father only” (Matt. 24:36, Mark 13:32).[/quote]

The moment you ask when was God created, you are already thinking TIME in your head.... Cause the word WHEN has to deal with time and God existed before time began cause he created time himself... Even the question who created God entails he was created at a particular TIME and like i said earlier he existed before time...

No one knows the [exact] day or hour it says. It didn't say no one knows the year or month. He was calculating year, not day or hour. He put up an interesting theory, and for critical thinkers it's quite an interesting theory.
Critical thinkers will be thinking of how to make the world better, not all this gabbrish.

If pastor Chris is serious he should come and dash me all his wealth since the world will end ten yrs from now.

Criticising what you don't understand is pure foolishness and very dangerous. Any sin against the Holy Spirit; His very works cannot be forgiven. Walk away if you don't understand it to save your own skin. God does not require your permission, understanding and knowledge for Him to carry out His work on earth. No amount of prayer can save you from the Holy Spirit if you sin against Him and no man on earth or in Heaven can save you from such sin. Trade carefully, good night

Like seriously? Have you ever listened or being under Pastor Chris's teachings? I don't think so.

You think Pastor Chris doesn't know what he is talking about? Chaiii!!! May you not be like those who jeered at Noah when he announced the flood.

I see a repetition just as the Bible says.

1 Thessalonians 5:4 clearly spells that the rapture isn't meant to take awake Christians unawares.

Why? Because the signs are there for us to read, which is why Pastor Chris made projections.

Don't be like the foolish virgins who went out to buy oil because they refused to observe the signs when the bridegroom will come.

The Bible called them foolish, because they chose not to observe the signs of when the bridegroom would show up.

You don't get it. What Pastor Chris is talking about is specific to Christians, who are the ones the rapture pertains to. And as per Christianity, the rapture is like one of the most important things or subjects or basis of Christian faith. So talking about rapture makes the world of Christianity a better place. It might be gibberish to you, but it's not gibberish to the Chosen ones who will hear the sound of the trumpet by the Angel and vamoose to Heaven.

Oga the man dropped a theory! Prove it wrong and stop beating around the bush about who the Son of God is, is that the issue here or the subject matter? Jesus himself said, No man knows the DAY or HOUR of the rapture. Jesus DID NOT SAY, No man knows the YEAR, OR MONTH OR WEEK. The rapture is a specific event with a specific timing. So it can be calculated. A man has come out with his own idea and reasoning to put up a theory on the possible period the event of rapture can be expected. There's nothing wrong with what he did. He never said the rapture will take place on Oct 20, 2028 at 11:00AM. If he gave a pinpoint specific time like that, then he can easily be proven wrong and disproved to be incorrect with the very proof and fact of the scripture where Jesus said Nobody knows the day or hour. Did he say that? No! He only postulated on the possible years it could happen. He said it could be around 3 years before 2030 or 7 years after etc, or so I think if I get what he said well. Nonetheless, He has put forward a mathematically computable time frame with figures. He didn't say am angel showed him or say an invisible intangible object is the source of his claim. So it is left for others to review what he said and the theory he put forward to either prove or disprove it. Whether or not his theory is accurate is the next line of action, but it's an interesting theory all the same. You either prove it wrong with your own theory and proven law or you ignore if you don't understand what he's talking about.

So much wisdom here

In order to be an effective critic, you have to have an open mind.

You cannot, be so sure that he's wrong, same way we cannot be so sure that he's right with the time frame he gave out.

I can see that you may not believe in the Day of the Lord since you're expertly ignoring what is truly important in this discourse.

We cannot be sure?

I say rapture started yesterday and has already been completed.
