Yet, my favorite novelist was an Igboman: the late Cyprian Ekwensi. My second favorite novelist was also Igbo: the late Chukwuemeka Ike.

My favorite poet was Igbo: Christopher Okigbo.

In short, there is no Yoruba novelist that I like.

I think of my choice of Seyi and Laycon as nothing but mere coincidence.

I have hard copies, but they are not here. They are in my parents' house, in my room.

Termites destroyed many of my novels. The one that pained me most is "Survive the Peace".

That man called Cyprian Ekwensi was an underrated novelist. I will rate that man over Chinua Achebe anytime any day.

Cyprian was very versatile, and his style is very free flowing.

I fell in love with him when I read "The Passport of Mallam Ilia".

And yes, he was very nationalistic, being able to set his story in any region of the country.

I like Elechi Amadi too, even though I have only read one novel from him, "The Concubine".

I will choose Isidore Okpewho over Elechi Amadi anytime any day.

After what I saw during the nomination yesterday,it's obvious Dorathy will be paying greatly for her unnecessary hatred for Laycon that blindfolded her from realising that Vee was actually the best option for her to be safed.
