Going to Togo is not a problem,

these are the factor u must bear in mind:

1. language barrier can u speak french
2. it's a police country,don't involve in any criminality(cos your jail sure)
3. it's a peaceful country with good life and good tourist sites
4. security wise it is safe
5. you must have enough finance to start up something there and be comfortable
6. if u want to get accommodation check around aflawo area close to the border to ghana those area
u can still see people that communicate in english
7. whatever u are doing be on low key to avoid eyes on you

Well, Togo is a very peaceful and relaxing country. If it's business you want to do I will advise you to first be in places like lome, anehó, aflao and hilacondji(Benin border) first before thinking of any business...

Try to learn grade c French first and speak Yoruba very well cuz you will definitely meet someone...

Moreso don't just sleep with any type of girls some have magun (thunderbolt)...

Represent yourself and Nigeria well.

God see you through....

If in the future you want to relocate try Zambia precisely Bulawayo or windhoek Namibia

Nice one bro,
Like how much can one budget in terms of transport from Lome to Namibia and what kind of business is thriving so well there?

I've meet a lot of them..
They are mostly into menial jobs...
I'm not sure how true it is,but I once read that a good number of the slums in Lagos coastal areas are filled with Togolose and Beninoses..

I was there in 2018, spent almost 7 months and it was a beautiful moment, I think the reason why they treat Nigerians like that is because of the crimes, drugs etc Nigerian are involved in.
please can you tell me about their money, accommodation and how u got there. Visa on arrival or what? And what about the amount for the flight ticket and how many hours journey

truly itz God that bless but if he have a good handwork he will definitely do better inTogo or Ghana than Nigeria.skills like phone repair, hairdressing, and this {nail fixing, eye lashes, pedicure, etc} the charges in ghana and Togo on these skills are 2-3 times bigger than Nigeria. An average nigerian will pay a phone repairer #300-500 to fix mouthpiece of small keypad phone in Ghana or Togo itz between #1000-2000

It's easy for you to say all that, maybe they lack electronic or technological skills, but that's not a guarantee that he'll do better there.

Nigeria has the population advantage 200 million vs 7.9 million... There's obviously a bigger market here since he's a business man.

Nigeriens,Malians,Cameroonians,Chadians... them full naija die grin ..

We don't have a database that keep track of migration figures and our borders are porous,so they are always free to come..

Re: Relocating To Lome Togo by Xpol: 12:41pm On Sep 16, 2020
Making it in a country doesnt depend on how rich or poor the country is people run away from naija because of poverty and people also run to nigeria to find greener pasture. There are so many opportunities around you that you don't value or you couldn't find but a foreigner will come and grab it

but itz what I've experienced personally in nigeria Anyone who have any of those skills will will do better in those countries itz not hearsay naira is hard for us to spend. Something that itz hard for us to buy #1000 in nigeria itz very normal to buy it #3000 in Ghana but if you don't have enough cash itz hard to settle down there cos house rent too is high an the mostly take 2yrs advance payment

Well, I had an opposite experience in Ghana. Hotel where I would have paid nothing less than 5k in Lagos/Abuja was less than 3k in Accra.

So everything is relative...

Togolese are very diabolical and they hate nigerians too, they refer to us as an anago, you have to learn French too and try to be honest , in order to gain their trust. They envy a lot too when they see that you are progressing more than them.

Togolese loves Nigerians and Anago is used to refer to the Yoruba's, its not an abusive word. Nigerians are diabolical too. Togolese are friendly and very accomodative angry

There are so many Nigerians doing business in Togo and its not a must you learn to speak French before you will gain their trust.

Nigeria is very cheap to live so if you don't plan well you will sleep in the street when you travel there are many nigerians who sleep on the street abroad but when you're chatting with them they will be deceiving you they are in paradize they want you to bring your fresh money so they chop you.

You've never been to Togo, you don't have anyone in Togo, you don't know how life is in Togo, etc. and you want to just carry your bag and go to Togo? Is this risk really calculated? I know people do such cause they believe their destination countries have a higher demand for their skillset/services/businesses but it appears you don't have any information at all and that only makes one wonder what your motivation is.

Nevertheless, I ain't discouraging you. I'm sure you already have your plans. Regarding your question, Togo is francophone and I think knowing French is pertinent for a successful business.
