Bros..I rolled in Togo 2015...In Sokode, Kara and Lome. They are v jealous and thirsty in general. However, I managed to find one cool guy who helped me no end as I made my moves on a vacation/business enquiries. His heart was pure and serene.

Bless X

But where is the Chinedu? You don run baa? Nigerians no get joy - see attacks front and back. My guy quietly recoiled to his shell cheesy

cheesy

But seriously though, Nigerian Nairalanders mean well. They just don't want him to jump to another African country without proper and adequate planning to avoid stories that touch. If indeed the OP wants to do business, Nigeria is a better place because of the large population. I wish OP all the best.

Togolese loves Nigerians and Anago is used to refer to the Yoruba's, its not an abusive word. Nigerians are diabolical too. Togolese are friendly and very accomodative angry

There are so many Nigerians doing business in Togo and its not a must you learn to speak French before you will gain their trust.
I am not saying all togolese hate Nigerians and learning French has nothing to do with trust but is good for you as a person to do , you only gain trust through honesty, most French speaking countries in Africa has that war like approach , being friendly is relative.

Funny. Both cape Verde and Seychelles are west African countries for that matter oo

Seychelles is not in West Africa. It is actually an Island country off the cost of the African Continent and closer to Southern African countries.

Sure they haven't but I believe the country nationals can't be lying about their country right?

They are just too many in my Area here, in fact many of them can speak pidgin and YORUBA more than many Nigerians and they are always talking about the worst condition of their country. It's not advisable for OP to go there please but he can give it a try anyway

Well, Togo is a very peaceful and relaxing country. If it's business you want to do I will advise you to first be in places like lome, anehó, aflao and hilacondji(Benin border) first before thinking of any business...

Try to learn grade c French first and speak Yoruba very well cuz you will definitely meet someone...

Moreso don't just sleep with any type of girls some have magun (thunderbolt)...

Represent yourself and Nigeria well.

God see you through....

If in the future you want to relocate try Zambia precisely Bulawayo or windhoek Namibia
bro how far Zambia I dey reason there but that their flight ticket go to dey expensive, shear more light about Zambia pls

I want to relocate to Lome Togo but I don't have anyone, can someone tell me how life is in Togo?
I plan on doing business there any guidance please?

So many misguided and ignorant comments, I didn't Know Nigerians are so ignorant, My brother if you are going to do something legit I will advise you to follow your heart, don't pay attention to any of those comments. Togo is very peaceful and it's quiet easy to accumulate wealth cause the standard of living isn't that high, just don't do pass yourself. Most of the negative comment you see here are from people who haven't even cross the border before they base their truth on myths, though Togo is a poor country and doesn't have the popular has Nigeria, there are a lot of Nigerians businessmen(majorly Igbos) especially in asigame and asiyeye doing very well. Just be focused and know what you came there to do.( Be law abiding)

PS: Togolese are a lovely people and are very friendly to foreigners I can attest to that, it just that unpleasant experiences from terrible Nigerians couple with how Nollywood portray Nigeria has made them wary of Nigerians.

You need to visit to understand what those people are complaining about, I'm pretty sure they are talking about the government and politics, and you can't attest to the fact that it's like that in major African countries, our government is s***ty. And you need to hear what they think of Nigeria and Nigerians over here in Togo. They see Nigerians as ritualist, cannibals and all sort of things, no thanks to our dear Nollywood. I have had to debunk some many myths they have about Nigeria.

The reason why most Togolese folk to Nigeria is the availability of jobs like masonry, tilling, POP e.t.c those kind of jobs are readily available in Nigeria and most Nigerian youth don't want those kind of jobs, they all want blue collar jobs or want to be musician or do Yahoo.
