This man leaves a big footprint in the sands of time. He reshapes television drama...the first Yoruba drama with 13 episodes in Nigeria was made by him (Arelu). He's a legend. Adieu, sir 10 Likes 1 Share |

May your shortcomings be forgiven. Alas! Pa Jimoh Aliu, KSA and Mama Orisabunmi comes to mind. I don't know who deserves that award between KSA and Sir Shina Peters. If you know, you know! 4 Likes |

Jimoh Aliu Alias Aworo was 86? Wow! I didn't know he was that old.. He created the popular villian in Yoruba movies known as Fadeyi Oloro in his television series like Arelu, Fopomoyo, Yanpon-Yanri, etc.. His ex-wife, Folake Aliu alias Orisabunmi is also another great beauty of the 80s.. I wonder what happened to those two monster- like characters that scared us kids then:. Toromagbe and Owootori? Geez! The old man reminds me of my childhood watching Yoruba series on LTV Channel 8 and NTA Channel 7.. King Sunny Ade even featured in one of his tv series then.. The real Baba Aworo and OlowoAye Man was a Legend... I Stan! 15 Likes |

slowie: Smiles... Last 2 weeks I got a patient of 100 years old who has not signed Do Not Attempt Resuscitation. When I was taking the handover on phone, my head just did gboingboingboin. How will a 100 years old want us to perform resuscitation on her? The person handing over and myself just bursted into laughters at the same time. Thinking again, this old mama had capacity, lives alone, no carers, walks very well with stick. Some people are blessed with long life and prosperity joor. 3 Likes |

Jimoh Aliu was a legendary cultural icon. If you tell people Jimoh Aliu dominated the screen far more intensely than any of the most popular Yoruba actors of today has managed, including (Odunlade Adekola) people will not understand. He qualifies to be ranked just one step below the likes of Ogunde, but well above other important icons like Mr Bello, Aluwe, Odunlade etc Jimoh Aliu is the type South West states should be naming important monuments after, but as he was not a wealthy politician, they won't do it. Shameful. 6 Likes |
