Good morning nairalanders. I was having issues with my dstv. So my dstv guy bought a small televes rf receiver and an adapter. I have been wondering why he just connected the rf receiver to the socket, left it by the side of the decoder but no wired connection from the rf receiver to the decoder.

Pls how does this work. I'll really appreciate your help.

You can only combine multiple satellites on a single lnb if the satellites are very close such as Eut 16e and Amos 5 at 17e or Astra 2f at 28e and Badr 5 at 26e. Off course you will need a bigger fish than 60cm.

If you can still hear sounds then it's ur tv backlight. its not costly..but won't be like the tv used to be after the repairs...an honest person will collect not more than 3k to do that job for u. look for electronics repair people if ur warranty has expired
