Good evening all.Pls is it that miui 12 or android 10 can't cast phone screen wirelessly to a smart tv without me having to be connected to a WiFi network?

I didn't have this issue on my old phone.I just tried connecting the tv and my new phone to the same hotspot on my RN5,i was able to cast the screen of my new device to the tv afterwards.

With my old phone,it can cast effortlessly without me having to be on the same wifi network as the tv..Please ooo,u guys should help me out. That is a feature I use lot on our smart tv to watch movies.
I might be wrong but ever since I started using the casting feature, the both devices have to be connected to the same router for casting to work atleast with my own TV and the device.
I'm surprised you could do that without connecting both devices. Again I might be wrong

I'm tired of waiting for MIUI 12. I got a Redmi 9a to use alongside my Note 7 today. I'll hand the phone over the phone to my Mum once Xioami gives me my own MIUI 12. grin

Can't by bypassed?

There are apps on play store that will give you something similar at the expense of your battery, also note that it won't be as fluid as a native feature, or as it would be on an AMOLED display

Good morning all. Pls I've tried all the networks to update my Redmi note 8 to the latest update but to no avail. The last time I updated, it was only possible with school WiFi. Now I wanna ask two questions.

1. I don't have problem with the phone anyway, so am ready to wait till school resume b4 updating the phone, but won't there be any problem if I only tried to update the phone after several updates have been released?

2. I could have tried a friend's phone WiFi, maybe it'll work, but where I am presently I don't have my friends around me. But I still wanna ask that if am able to get someone to share his network with me through his phone WiFi, can it work?

Those are my questions, In case someone has experienced this before. Although someone advised me to update manually but am reluctant cos I don't have any experience with phone tweaking.

Thanks.

Update manually, it's as simple as ABC. Follow Mr Genius guide from few pages back and you'll be safe.

There is nothing like tweaking when updating manually.

Can you give a review on this Earpiece ?
I intend to get one but I need to know what the bass and Noice cancellation is.
I got the Redmi airdot bit the Bass and noise cancellation is not as advertised
All I can say for now is, it attracts too much attention from almost everyone I come In contact with and they can't stop talking about how premium and expensive it looks. As for the sound quality it's the best I've come across although I've not used much high quality earpiece.

I recently noticed that my contacts on my redmi note 9s doesn't display details, the only way I can view details of any contact is to click on edit button, anyone experiencing such? Is there anyway around it? . Thanks all

Thats because you're accessing the contact via the dialer. You'll have to open the Contacts app to see the details.

NB: You can try updating the respective apps.

Post the about section of your device. Also, do you have any pending updates and can you post a sample picture?

Please how do mi note 10 lite users cope with tempered glass. My own didn't have full glue all over. They just applied on the edges. it has fallen off just after 3 days. Its clear that getting tempered glass to fit a curved screen is going to be very difficult.Pls how do you guys cope.I am using the screen raw for now till i get another good glass.
Try the Nillkin Glass variant for your phone. My brother's OnePlus 7 pro's screen guard fits perfectly with his phone with no problems despite being curved. The fingerprint even works fine. Nillkin makes great screen guards for curved screens. Check on AliExpress.

Hello guys,
I make use of two SIM cards but don't seem to differentiate what SIM a missed call is from.
I updated my phone app but still don't seem to find out which SIM I got missed call from even if I check history.
Please find attached images.

Check if there is a nylon on the Camera glass and also take a proper picture with the rear camera. I can't judge with what you posted.
