Okay then. If they're now attending to them and he's patient, he can wait. All the best to him.

Sirromey:
They are attending to paper applicants but the process is slow, I have gotten a medical response and I know someone else who has. The problem with cancelling application and reapplying is what if the persons account balance has dropped how will they go about it? If the person has everything in place and they can't wait they should redraw but if they don't I advice they wait

Thank you for your swift response, I appreciate your time.

I am not sure if my tuition is part of the funding but I can find out about that. with regards to home ties, in my current job, I signed a bond with my employer for 3 years, however, I will be leaving before it elapsed, although I intend to have that conversation with my employer. I was wondering if that will fly, so I can claim that I have to come back to service the bond.

Please could you direct me on how to apply through the regular process as I tried on my own and most of the things I am reading here (SOP, family ties...), I could not find where to upload them

letskeeptalking:

I really don't see why I have to wait to get there first before applying for them. But that's what people keep telling me to do.

So so confused!

It’s a dicey situation. Some people have succeeded with their children while others haven’t. Personally I choose not to apply with my kids. I know of two families who did the same.
1. Scenario 1. Mum applies alone. Gets her visa and travelled. Once enrolled she applies for permits for her children and husband (study for the children, work for the husband.) The entire process took about three months.

2. Scenario 2. Entire family had existing Canadian visitors visa. Mum applies for study visa and the entire family travelled. Husband and children were given permits at the border.

I would believe Scenario 2 might work in your Favour. You can travel with the three kids who have U.S passports. Since they do not need a visa to get into Canada you can ask for a study permit for them at the border.

If you are too nervous about being turned away, just enter with them as if they are coming on vacation. Then you apply for permits for them from inside Canada. The process will certainly be shorter and more likely to succeed. Besides, children of parents who are on study visa are entitled to attend school (1st to 12th grades) without any papers other than your study permit.

Please monikers I need help
An agent helped me submit the admission application and also sent me the acceptance letter when I was offered a space in conestoga college, before I discovered Nairaland.
Now today he sent me this page on Ontairocollege board that stated that my offer was revoked in July because I did not accept the offer.
I actually did pay the money to secure the space before the said time.
I believe the agent did not accept the offer in the board page.
Now my question can I redeem this now.
Is there anything I can do about it.
Offer was revoked in July, going for fall 2020 programme.
I will really appreciate your inputs

Dear so so and so

Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada. After careful review of your student permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds:

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of residence.

I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status.

I got this mail and I want to reapply.

I got admission to study computer science at University of prince Edward island as a first degree.
Balance in my mom's account was 8million plus, 6million was enough funds for a year.

I am also concerned about the first reason the VO gave, I will appreciate any advice on how to tackle it when writing a new Sop for the next application.

Both my BSc and intended course are in the same IT field. Intended course is a Post grad certificate. I selected College-Certificate in my form as well. You advice I reapply with a clearer SOP?
Anon123:

If its from your sop, the vo will say your sop is vague though still possible that you failed to explain the linkage between your bsc and intended course. Also is the course PGD or diploma. On your immm forms, did you select diploma as against college certificate ?

Hi.. There are plenty businesses here that can give even higher interest rates.. Does it mean that the credibility of a business involved in can negatively affect someone's application? Can the age viz-a-viz financial strength be a reason to refuse his application? Na wa oh.. I think he should an email correcting their misunderstanding

Think about this. A 26 year old applicant present a savings over 10million naira. The applicant have only worked for 3 years in a job that pays 300,000 naira (an assumption). Does that employment situation, work history, and age sum up with the savings? Will you not like to know how the person was able to save that much? Did the applicant explain this?

Obviously, this applicant cannot have saved 10m with the job, work history and age. Was the money inherited after parents death? What are the evidence of death and inheritance?

The thing about visa is convincing the officer in charge. If you are in charge, will you believe this whole package? I am not a visa officer. I am just trying to think out loud.

By the way, I still want to know the financial institution in Nigeria that gives more than 20% interest on investment. Please tell me the name of the organization.

I understand ur point but most of your assumptions are kinda flawed.. An O&G worker that goes to the rig, even at that age, earn over 1M per month. This isn't speculation, i know this for a fact.. So what matters most in his application is whether he showed payslips and other proofs

As for the investment, it is outside the goal of this thread to be doing free adverts. If he had gotten the visa, we'll applaud his profile. Every VO should judge with verifiable facts on ground,
not just what their minds think is conceivable

Hi Guys,

I am considering withdrawing my application before it comes in as a rejection. Its my second application and I applied in July.

Wouldn't want to get a second rejection, as I already have another admission that comes with funding.

Can some please help with the procedure for withdrawing the application?

Thank you.
