letskeeptalking: It’s a dicey situation. Some people have succeeded with their children while others haven’t. Personally I choose not to apply with my kids. I know of two families who did the same. 1. Scenario 1. Mum applies alone. Gets her visa and travelled. Once enrolled she applies for permits for her children and husband (study for the children, work for the husband.) The entire process took about three months. 2. Scenario 2. Entire family had existing Canadian visitors visa. Mum applies for study visa and the entire family travelled. Husband and children were given permits at the border. I would believe Scenario 2 might work in your Favour. You can travel with the three kids who have U.S passports. Since they do not need a visa to get into Canada you can ask for a study permit for them at the border. If you are too nervous about being turned away, just enter with them as if they are coming on vacation. Then you apply for permits for them from inside Canada. The process will certainly be shorter and more likely to succeed. Besides, children of parents who are on study visa are entitled to attend school (1st to 12th grades) without any papers other than your study permit. Cc@demii Jesusrules24 4 Likes |

Please monikers I need help An agent helped me submit the admission application and also sent me the acceptance letter when I was offered a space in conestoga college, before I discovered Nairaland. Now today he sent me this page on Ontairocollege board that stated that my offer was revoked in July because I did not accept the offer. I actually did pay the money to secure the space before the said time. I believe the agent did not accept the offer in the board page. Now my question can I redeem this now. Is there anything I can do about it. Offer was revoked in July, going for fall 2020 programme. I will really appreciate your inputs |

PROTECTED - B Date: 16 September 2020 UCI: 1111111122 Application No: S312345678 Name name surname Email: plentytalk@yahoo.com Dear so so and so Thank you for your interest in visiting Canada. After careful review of your student permit application and supporting documentation, I have determined that your application does not meet the requirements of the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act (IRPA) and Immigration and Refugee Protection Regulations (IRPR). I am refusing your application on the following grounds: I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the limited employment prospects in your country of residence. I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your personal assets and financial status. + + + + + You are welcome to reapply if you feel that you can respond to these concerns and can demonstrate that your situation meets the requirements. All new applications must be accompanied by a new processing fee. Sincerely, IRCC Nairobi High Commission of Canada to Kenya www.cic.gc.ca I got this mail and I want to reapply. Timeline: 24 February :submitted application and took biomimetic scan. Nothing.... 16 September: got that email. I got admission to study computer science at University of prince Edward island as a first degree. Balance in my mom's account was 8million plus, 6million was enough funds for a year. I am also concerned about the first reason the VO gave, I will appreciate any advice on how to tackle it when writing a new Sop for the next application. |

Pee2Jay9: Think about this. A 26 year old applicant present a savings over 10million naira. The applicant have only worked for 3 years in a job that pays 300,000 naira (an assumption). Does that employment situation, work history, and age sum up with the savings? Will you not like to know how the person was able to save that much? Did the applicant explain this? Obviously, this applicant cannot have saved 10m with the job, work history and age. Was the money inherited after parents death? What are the evidence of death and inheritance? The thing about visa is convincing the officer in charge. If you are in charge, will you believe this whole package? I am not a visa officer. I am just trying to think out loud. By the way, I still want to know the financial institution in Nigeria that gives more than 20% interest on investment. Please tell me the name of the organization. 2 Likes |

I understand ur point but most of your assumptions are kinda flawed.. An O&G worker that goes to the rig, even at that age, earn over 1M per month. This isn't speculation, i know this for a fact.. So what matters most in his application is whether he showed payslips and other proofs As for the investment, it is outside the goal of this thread to be doing free adverts. If he had gotten the visa, we'll applaud his profile. Every VO should judge with verifiable facts on ground, not just what their minds think is conceivable Osemigho: 2 Likes |
