how did they determine that the allocation was wrongly given when there is no contiguous boundary between the two to effect such error?

This question should go to FG. They handle the sharing of allocation. For Rivers it's an issue of boundary while for Akwa Ibom it's an issue of allocation. When the case comes up fully at the court you will understand the whole matter. For now the lawyers are working on their evidence.

you spoke like you had access to facts on the issue, reason for my prodding to be properly informed.
Logically thinking, I find it difficult to comprehend how bayelsa would question the allocation accruing to akwa ibom when they share no boundary - which can only be the source of dispute on allocation issues.
The F.G has a stipulated 13% derivation to oil producing states, these payments are released by the RMFAAC BODY or so and published for public view. what brings about the contest?
it would be better understood between them and rivers state over disputed oil bloc location, onshore or offshore; but that of Akwa Ibom is debatable and hard to understand by me.

I hope you get me?

Sure I do. However i dont come to nairaland to spill ignorance like most people here. Understanding news is an issue for many on nairaland. The news is about 2 things, 1 is boundary issue which soku fall under, while the other is about allocation sharing formula.
