I think something is wrong somewhere for Coventry... I have not seen anybody they issue CAS for, the first bank statement I gave them expired, they message me to present another one , do we even have anybody that has gotten CAS in Coventry ? They’re opinion that we should do our enrollment online , Note to all applicant , if you do online enrollment you will not be able to claim your fund again, have been seeing there series of email to sign up for enrollment but I have let them know that without CAS no enrollment so we could ask for refund , hoping they will get back , do we have anybody that has collected CAS in Coventry ? Pls help

I hope this response is not late. At the moment Coventry University is overwhelmed. I had to continually disturb them every single day, sometimes twice a day through that chat platform on the University's website for international student.

I will advice that you do same, that's only when you would most likely get an early response. You can send a mail but you won't get a feedback till after about two weeks or more so it's pointless.

You can also call their international office but keep in mind that the line is often busy. So load your phone with sufficient airtime because you might be on a queue for as much as 30mins.

I just wanted a switch in my career path and being that Data Science is kinda related to my first degree and I can demonstrate numerate skills. I don't think I will have much problem with the modules.
The only problem I may have in which I'm trying to devote my time at the moment is my 'programming skills' especially in the area of Python.

2. Data Science being one of the sexiest Job is in shortage worldwide and it's even listed on UK shortage occupation. Who wouldn't wanna stay back with the proposed PSW that will be introduced mid 2021? Staying back may be an option. Bournemouth and University of East Anglia are accredited by BCS.
Meanwhile, being one of Jobs in shortage ... I don't really think accreditation is compulsory to getting a good Job. If there are... I don't think it will be a problem.

3. Yes, the Universities have partnerships with companies. There are options for placements(more like internships) with their industry partners at Stirling and Bournemouth.

Python is quite easy to learn especially for beginners like yourself if you put your heart and mind to it. Go to where your heart leads you. I'm pretty sure all three or four universities aren't offering the same course modules so choose the one whose course modules appeals to you the most.

If I were you, I’d do a one year postgraduate certificate degree in education (PGCE) program preferably in a private uni in Nigeria cus

1. You get to graduate on time with no ASUU wahala and
2. Its cheaper than doing it in the UK

After that you can then apply for qualified teacher status (QTS) even though you might have to complete the initial teacher training (ITT) in UK.

The only downside to this is that overseas trained teachers take a four year route of training before they are awarded the QTS but it’s worth Cus u will still be paid while training and working the job

I suggest this Cus of ur background and maths teachers are in high demand in the U.K.

If this sounds interesting to you, I suggest you make further enquiries about it.

Gurus, please help!

I got my first PCC that expired due to the lockdown. Now I just got a new one and discovered that there is a slight error in the year my passsport was issued. for example, the date of issue was 12/02/19, but the new one has 12/2/14, putting '4' instead of a '9'. I was about submitting my documents because my biometrics is few days time when I noticed the error.
Although I immediately communicated with the person who helped me in Lagos ( As I'm faraway and had earlier used a courier service), He said I should simply get a place where typewriter is used and he would tell them how to correct the error and change the 4 to 9.

I only have this new week to submit my documents and the PCC is the only pending one.


Please I really need an urgent help and advice on what can be done, as I don't want to take a suggestion that will affect me.

University of Sheffield accepts 2.2 if applicant can prove he/she has a lot of relevant work experience (paid or voluntary). Some schools do accept if the person has relevant postgraduate studies.

Check Stirling/Edinburgh Napier..they accept 2:2..and they start February/January..so if the person still wants to apply..they should do so now

My wife is the main applicant, our maintenance fees (myself, my wife and our daughter) were all in my wife's account.
I indicated that my wife and daughter depend on me for financial support even though their maintenance fees were not in my account.
Visa for all three granted.

Who is the main applicant?... however I think it can be in your wife as well

I got 22nd October, Tier 2 Visa, assisted service.

But I want a date closer like second week of October. How can I amend. If I amend will I need to pay again for biometric.
