Ajibel: I am a Lagosian by birth and parentage I have probably been a Lagosian long before you ( maybe) and have been politically conscious since the mid 80s.. I can also tell you Lagos existed before 1999.. I know what Lagos was like in those days( before the coming of what our Lagos ancestors called ' Awon Atohunrinwa meaning non- Lagosians) despite the meagre resources from FG and IGR Yet we had excellent transportation system, school system, affordable housing, good civil service, among others.. And we didn't have a godfather somewhere or MC Oluomo calling the shots from Oshodi ( yeah, we had the likes of Bayo Success, Alaye Monzor, Baba Sangula, Haji Mosho, Hakeem Pako, Billy Famous etc as Lords of the hoods but barely powerful beyond lsale Eko, ldunmota, oju olobun , jankara, adeniji, balogun, elegbaata, Aroloya, Agarawu, , Anikantamo, Olowogbowo, lta faji, Bamgbose, ldunmagbo , ereko or ebute ero).. Besides, these street Lords were never nuisances or blatantly powerful as APC made present agberos.. Bottom line? Lagos rakes in billions daily, a single person controls the pie and we dress it with cosmetics infrastructure.. Besides, 21 years under a single party and person like an oligarchy? How democratic! 22 Likes 2 Shares |

Ategberoson:thank you. Fyi, I lived in lagos for years. There's nothing new you can tell me about lagos. Now that you have a governor who does the bidding of the godfathers, what exactly has he achieved in almost one and half years in office? i dare you tell me what he has achieved so far different from dismantling roundabouts and claiming he spent btw 100k and 1m naira of donated funds, treating one covid-19 patient daily. My bro who's a medical dr showed me the newspaper that captioned it and i was shocked. Its in the news , check it out. Free yourselves from modern slavery and all will be well. My 50 cents. 4 Likes |

Dario1:My bros, APC is in competition to overwrite all the "evils" PDP did in 16years and sure, has surpassed that record in 5years. Their supporters sometimes cannot do without. How do you feel when the next meal depends on what you have done in defense of the government. Las Las, we're all in this mess together. 4 Likes |

I guess the kano you followed is your own first political exposure. this is a public forum and I expect intellectual composure, why shook mouth on what transcend your knowledge? on what stand is Ambode political battle the same with Obaseki? would Obaseki have survive if he had inaugurate the rest of the lawmakers? he pocket those that could be a threat to his political triumph and your likes are comparing him to Ambode that his deputy is not even loyal to him please seek knowledge and stop disgracing yourself here 2 Likes |

chloedogie:Don't talk like that, don't outrightly write them of like that because it isn't entirely true. Yes the Northerners can be clannish just like everybody else and yes they can be very extremely passionate which tends to align them as one voice, but still there is a limit to which they will cover up for their own. Let's leave religion out of this and face only politics and social relations, you will realize that the average Northerner, (i mean Hausas, since they are the majority) will speak against bad governance and oppression and Government induced suffering and maladministration and misrule. Are they not suffering the insecurity and killings by bandits and killer herdsmen and killer terrorists? They are. Are they not suffering the effects of a terrible economy and there's recession and hyperinflation? Of course they are feeling the effects of the disaster Buhari APC regime too. So why will they continue to vote for that? No, they won't vote for such, they will vote against such a party. Buhari was wise to have delayed many of his Next Level evil and wicked governance till after the 2nd term elections. Assuming we have not done the 2019 elections or assuming as things are right now, the 2nd term re-election were to happen today, Buhari will lose in the North. That is an undeniable fact. The same way they voted massively for him, is the same way they will vote massively against him. Take it or leave it, if Buhari APC regime continues in this path of disaster governance, the same North that fired APC to a landslide victory is the same North that will fire APC to a landslide loss. 2 Likes |

seguno2:Fashola was diplomatic. Lagosians were ready to go to war for Fashola back then. I have always been on ground here in Lagos. The issue cut across all ethnic groups and religious beliefs back then. Fashola would have won by social distancing against any person Tinubu brought out then, and what was more? We couldn't see what bad thing Fashola did against Tinubu to warrant such from Tinubu. It was Fashola or nothing back then. Ask any Lagosian on ground. Even when we voted for PDP at National level, we still voted for Fashola at state level. 1 Like |

An Edo man can never be oppressed... It was not even about performance rather it was about suppressing oppression.. POI, maybe would've won had he remained in PDP. Now that we the people of Edo state believe and trust in Obaseki, it's left for him to return the favour with an even better governance than the last 4 years. 8 Likes |
