September intakes did not submit bank statement but we did pre-cas interview. I can't say if January intakes will experience same process.

If I were you, I’d do a one year postgraduate certificate degree in education (PGCE) program preferably in a private uni in Nigeria cus

1. You get to graduate on time with no ASUU wahala and
2. Its cheaper than doing it in the UK

After that you can then apply for qualified teacher status (QTS) even though you might have to complete the initial teacher training (ITT) in UK.

The only downside to this is that overseas trained teachers take a four year route of training before they are awarded the QTS but it’s worth Cus u will still be paid while training and working the job

I suggest this Cus of ur background and maths teachers are in high demand in the U.K.

This idea is fantastic except that
1. PGCE in Naija won't give him much opportunities in the UK. SCITT can't sponsor tier4 students.
I will suggest he enrolls in a PGCE course in UK which will in turn get him recommended for QTS. He can teach with PGCE till he feels comfortable to get QTS (within 4 years i think).

Here is my issue ooh: if I recall correctly the balance in my account is meant to be at least 28 days ( though mine is over 2 months now) . That is, the account should be at least 28 days old on the day the visa application was made not on the biometric/interview date.

Here is where I get confused, my agent said I should print a statement that shows the 28 days to be at least two days before my biometric/interview date.

Please is he correct or am I correct?

1. In Naija we only have PGDE, for those with non-eduction background transitioning into teaching.

2. iPGCE is international postgraduate certificate in
education (England) normally done as distance learning with support from learning centres e.g corona trust run the ipgce for Nothingham University and it is clearly stated that it can't get you a QTS hence not totally equivalent to the PGCE as the key module (teaching practice) isn't fulfilled.

3. There are different pathways to getting QTS (Qualified teacher status)
I. Through the SCITT School-centred initial teachers.
training. Unfortunately, most cannot sponsor tier4
students.
Ii. PGCE (from England) PGDE (Scotland). U get.
recommended for QTS after the course. Within 2-4 years from PGCE

If you use self service then once you submit your document that all. On the day of biometric you don't actually submit anything

You do biometric and have interview . If no interview then after your biometric you leave

Ensure that the bank statement shows funds held for 28 days before your online submission (the day you paid your visa and IHS fees). You can decide to extend the bank statement up to the date of your biometrics but the "28 days" must be before the online submission.

You were advised earlier to ask your agent for your visa form so you can read through inorder to ensure everything is intact with the information he/she provided.
Also, ensure you are taking all the documents that need to be submitted. TB test certificate should be part of what you are to submit; cos I didn't see it as part of the documents your agent listed.

You don't need it for the UK except you're stopping over in a country that requires it.

If you follow his advice as highlighted in bold, you will surely be refused.

The 28 day statement should terminate on the date you submitted your application online ie September 3. In essence, it must show clearly the dates between August 6 and September 3. It can start before August 6 or extend beyond September 3, that is up to you, but those dates highlighted are the ones reckoned with by the UKVI guidelines.

You mean you don't even have your appointment print out? Your checklist? My dear, you won't even be allowed into the VAC without these. You'll also be asked for the front page of your application before your documents are scanned

Pre-cas interview is similar to visa interview same questions. The interview is about 30mins or less.

A list of questions will be sent to you to study before the pre-cas interview.

If you amend and you are lucky to get a self service date, you don't have to pay but if you amend to another assisted service date, then the assisted service charge will apply again.
