I seldom comment on this thread, but I have to comment on this very one.

I personally hate to see ardent football fans defending a lackluster player like Onauchu. I'm not hating bro. But that guy has done little to nothing to merit a National Team call-up. I take time to follow our players week-in week-out to see how each of them are balling. But this Onauchu of a guy doesn't really have what it takes to be in the NT. With all due respect bro, the Super Eagles need to win the next edition of AFCON, and even getting to the World Cup Quater-Finals. I love all our players, and I always pray they all succeed. But Onauchu case is quite different. A good striker MUST be Osimhen's-like. Pacy, Strength, Ball-Sense, and all. Besides Nig vs Egy friendly, can you recall another match where Onauchu did so well? That's why our country hardly go far in big tournaments, because we give room for so much sentiment to becloud our reasoning.

Onauchu isn't good enough for the current Super Eagles! Onauchu is slow, and we need pacy forwards. Imagine front-three like: Ejuke, Osimhen, Chukwueze. Just imagine those three for a minute lipsrsealed. I think nna only GOD fit stop these three if they're on COUNTER! Now, can you substitute a pacy "Goal Machine" for Onauchu and still be able to play a SPIRITED counter-attacking football?

In my honest opinion, I think Cyriel Dessers should be given a chance to prove himself.

With the current crops of players we're parading, I see the Super Eagles playing a more counter-attacking football.

I'm not criticizing you boss! It's just my opinion.

I know my English is bad.. I still deh learn sad

You see where I said I like dessers ?

Who English help ? Yours is even better than mine

No doubt about a front 3 of Chuks osimhen or ejuke nah ,onauchu na just back up plan and that all ,am not sure ejuke will start ahead of Moses Simon thou

We all like dessers here nah ,he was in the list before the covid-19

Bro, as big as the Super Eagles, our back up should be on par with the first IX. Okay, like you've rightly substituted Ejuke for Moses Simon; those two are pacy demons! And that's one attribute I love so much in a player. PACE! PACE!! PACE!!!

We need Dessers more than we want Onauchu. Dessers has got some good pace, although not the demonic-type of pace we have in Osimhen. But yea, that's okay. Onauchu isn't sharp!

Iheanacho still remain the perfect partner/backup for Osimhen..
But unfortunately,he is rotting on Leicester bench it doesn't appear like he is moving...

SCORENigeria has specially learnt that top officials have sounded former Chelsea director Michael Emanelo as well Wolverhampton Wanderers official Seyi Olofinjana for the vacant post of NFF technical director.

The position is vacant after the contract of Bitrus Bewarang was not renewed.

Former Super Eagles defender Emenalo was until recently the sports director at Ligue 1 club AS Monaco, while another ex-international Olofinjana has risen through the ranks at Premier League side Wolves.

Nasiru Jibrin is currently heading the technical department in an acting capacity as a result.

It has already been reported that former Barcelona winger Emmanuel Amuneke has been approached for the same post.

Anyway the Ekong deal is looking very close. Italian Journo, Nico Schira carried the news alongside other sources outside Nigeria.

Danielnino00:

I didn't even notice Musa's absence shocked

Even if he goes to Oman, he will still get called up as long as he is captain grin

BTW, how far with Ekong to Watford deal?
I've checked online and the only place I'm seeing the news is on Nigerian sites..

I understand Omeruo may be on the move soon to a La Liga side. That's the latest I got. But nothing concrete yet.

Also, more news. Jamilu Collins will likely join Union Berlin. Deal looking close to being done. Hopes nothing squashes it.

andrewbaba44:

So omeruo never still see laliga club

When I talk say awaziem was good for Porto bench at best some people say na lie ,I was even expecting him to join a laliga or French league club easily but na boavista my guy join

It’s well ,if he does well for Boavista he might still move to a better league

Maybe..
But his experience means he has strong connections especially in Europe... I'm not sure if Amunike and Olofinjana have that..

Well, all the best to him..

Somebody said he dreams of playing in the EPL...he should bear it in mind that there's no guarantee Watford will get promoted..

Little wonder he has been missing lately in Al Nassr games. Even the one they have today in the AFC Champions League.

nelszx:

Musa has been in Nigeria for weeks now
Since his last goal for Al Nassr he hasn't made the squad
Maybe a transfer but he's been in Nigeria for a while now

That's the thing Danny. No guarantees. And he may get into the EPL via two ways. Either Watford get promoted which is no guarantee (as it may or may not happen) OR he does well enough for them to attract a few EPL clubs' interest ahead of the 2021/2022 season.

In all, we don't know what tomorrow holds but we wish him the best.

Likewise...

I agree with Basco self..
Maybe Rohr should leave him out of the squad..
Maybe it would make him understand that he needs to start playing regularly.

It seems like Rodgers is on a mission to help Vardy retain his golden boot...

Let's wait and see. Even Colin Udoh said today. Maybe they are waiting for the FIFA clearance status of one or two to be certified switched or maybe they wait to replace Tobias Lawal officially coz he was on the list. But time will tell. We wait.
