I think he takes a leaf from Marcelo Bielsa, high press with energy, full backs high up the pitch doesn't really play with natural wingers more like inverted wingers, No natural '10' more like Raumdeuter not the one on Nairaland grin grin

His Spurs teams played too narrow and just crowded the midfield. They didn't really have good patterns of play in my opinion and i think he rode the form of a few players like Kane, Alli, Eriksen, Dembele and when most of those guys lost form he couldn't do anything about it.

If you watch Klopp, Bielsa, even Pep and some other managers you will see patterns of play that will always lead to quality chance creation no matter the players at their disposal.

Many people are judging Poch based on the results he achieved at Spurs rather than analyzing the methods he used to achieve those results and deciding if it is reproducible elsewhere.

But people will say he got Spurs punching above their weight for years, I agree with the narrow and crowded midfield but Poch not performing in his final years was down to Daniel not investing in the club, people forget that Spurs went 1 or 2 years without bringing in any player instead they chose to build new stadium. There was so little he could do with that Squad for 5 years.

Meanwhile there has been managerial casualties across Europe nd no time did Poch get a look in. I wonder why.

Dayo is here campaigning for him meanwhile when Bayern needed to replace Kovac, they opted for an unproven Flick instead.

No one who likes Man Utd will wants Ole to continue. I dont like Man Utd but I am genuinely tired of flogging Arsenal and Chelsea like snakes in the CL. I need better teams from "The best league in the world"

Games wey we go win and cant even brag about cos they are useless

We can brag about beating Barcelona 8-2, Madrid or Man utd

If you continue with Ole, you can get lucky in cup competition but you will be far from winning the league and this is not just about players, Look at the tepid football you have been playing from January and wonder whether its players to blame all the time. Look a the caliber of players you have vs the opponents

The few times Ole did well was when he was able to park the bus vs top sides and hit on counter

Klopp and Pep can lose games but you will see what they are trying to do they will put pressure on opponents not like OGS(Offa Gramar School) wey Crystal Palace, Burnley Sheffieild etc go dey play with cigarette in their mouth

Jah bless yah!

Funke! This same Ole?

We can all dig posts. Nobody holy pass.

I have been consistent in the way I analyze this team during and after Mou exit.

I have always maintained that we needed better players than we had, there are a lot of things you can blame the manager for but you cannot blame the manager for the inability of a player to pass the ball successfully or any of the mundane argument then.

What I’m pointing out is the double standard, if it’s Mou fault then, why is it not Ole fault now? grin

And if you dig well, you will see I started questioning Ole tactics few months after I made that post. tongue

Well we heard a lot of “Let him improve the players he has, the board should not waste money on pipes” here when he was being vocal about needing players.

The argument then was that the play under him was boring and drab and a better manager will do wonders with the same players Mou had. All these were just few months after we finished 2nd and our highest point haul post Fergie.

But now, let’s not blame the manager for the drab football, lets blame the players.

Double standards.

Larride, I don't know you from adam but you fvck up no be small. It's clear that you have an agenda- and even if you do, at least wait until things are factual before showing your true color.

There are a number of differences from Ole's best season at United (and the next season) and Mou's.

During Mou's best season, the play was lethargic and we were always defending. I complained bitterly about that. Many people did. And that was after he's had one season under his belt. He bought Pogba in the first season, and then Lukaku in the next. Throw in Lindelof's acquisition and that's almost 200m pounds. He got eighty-something points. Good.

The next season was when things went downhill for him. And that was mainly because he was not supported by the board- probably because his play was lethargic and slow and the creativity was next to zero the previous season. Plus he was relying on mercenaries. Wanted to buy Willian, Boateng and co. Old cargos.

Last season was Ole's best season. He also bought some players but he had only been at the club for 6 months., and he had to made do with what he had until January. The difference between his targets and Mou's is that they are mainly young talents who will serve the club for the forseeable future.

Now, the main difference between the two is that Ole's team seems to be moving in a positive direction, with some promise. Finished 3rd and got into 3 semi finals. Last season was Martial, Rashford's best seasons at United. Even Mason broke through and was scoring goals. 3rd best defence in the league. It's not as if everything is perfect but things were looking up. Despite Mou hauling more than 80 points, it didn't seem as if things would improve. He was fighting his players and wanted to bring in mercenaries.

The only similarity between those two at the moment, is that the Glazers failed to back them up in the transfer market after their best seasons.

__________________________

Apart from that sef, it's way too early into the season to start complaining about this current side. Saturday was a terrible game, agreed, but then it's just one game in. If the shit repeats itself for the next 3 games or 4, then I will be the one championing #OLEOUT movement.

Shield your gun, old soja. War no dey for here.

No o. One bad game but we still need to buy players. We need to fill in more than the RWF position sef.

One bad game, and if these same players go on to win their next 3 games, stories will change. These same set of people will suddenly keep mute, and some of them will start praising the manager.

But then not buying players will affect the players after 10-15 games. By that time, stories will change again.

You get my drift?

Bros. Let's tell ourselves the truth, this man does not look like who will take us anywhere.

There is a pattern with him.

I won't be surprised if next game we start flogging everyone. But watch, after like 10 games, things begin to crash.

This has been the pattern. And this pattern is dangerous because he is not staying one place for thunder to strike him.

What about Bruno? AWB? Even the Maguire you're thrashing sef is not as worse as Smalling as Jones. We had the 3rd best defence in the league last season. The areas we have problem is with the attack. We need to score more goals.

But continue. Agenda will always agend.

LooL @staying one place for thunder to strike him.

We've played our best football post-fergie under OGS. We had our second best season during his first full season in charge.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying it's OGS or nothing. But we need to invest in players. Things will collapse after 15 games because we have a starting XI and not a squad. The difference between the starters and the benchers is just too much. By all means, sack OGS and bring in another manager who you think will get the job done, BUT BUY HIM PLAYERS.

Look at Chelsea. Lampard started very brightly but then things became tough towards the end of the season and they started dropping points. How many players has Abramovic bought for him?

Let us sack Ole and bring in another coach. But then we need to support that coach and get him his players. Simple.
