DEROX: You people are the ones causing more trouble for Baba Tinubu mostly online. I witnessed Baba Tinubu as Gov of Lagos , he appointed Ibo into his govt, he is a grassroot politician tho with floors as a human, but some of you forget that POLITICS is about numbers...and if u think the iPod ibos r more obsessed to Baba Tinubu than the northerners , then u r dreaming , and 2023 will be too bad, but there is still time to correct things , no permanent friends or enemies in politics ...most of the issues Oshobaba and the VP r facing today is because of their loyalty to Baba Tinubu, forget about the online miscreant , look at the political gladiators in the north , Nigeria and even the south, how many can u tell me will support BAT2023 project ?, Do u think the faceless Ibos online are the only ones against BAT ?... If u truly love BAT, try to mend fences for him, and don't create more. Part of the reason Pst Ize-Iyamu lost is because of BAT and projection of 2023... Look at Edo, Pst Ize-Iyamu lost from his house (Edo south) becuase of a campaign mantra like the "o too ge" in Kwara, to the best of my understanding of the edolites since I move here from my state in the north, they are not ibos, they have various languages which differs from each other , but yet they were shouting Edo is not Lagos... This is the time for u people to go back to the drawing board and not trying to fight through...same way u wants Baba Tinubu to be president without looking at the Nigeria project , its same way , I want my region, NORTHEAST to produce the president in 2023 ...tho if they fails to give it to us , I personally, gat no issue with that because I stand to gain nothing with or without a President from my region ... goodnight 2 Likes |

NGpatriot:When will u stop deceiving yourself? Other than Lagos Tinubu is inconsequential in the southwest . He is likely to implicate any candidate he supports as the case of Edo. Why APC has free ride in 2015 was because people were tired of PDP and wanted to try something different and APC was smart enough to use that and propagate the propaganda. What then do we have with APC , the worse governance you have ever thought of! all the propaganda they used against the PDP they are doing worse ., fuel price hike, electricity tariff increments, insecurity, just to mention but few. That is why states like Oyo has retraced it step and went back to PDP. Meanwhile PDP is not good , but far better than the most evil party in Nigeria. ( you can ask any body preferably neutral, in Oyo state) Any state in the southwest where APC is not allow to rig it can never win , take it home! Edo just showed that by over 80k despite the vote buying . Very soon Lagos will free it self from the shackles of godfatherism too. |

Lagos and only Lagos . Oyo left APC and now PDP. Enjoying the dividends of democracy unlike when all the tax and igr were being collected by a firm from.Lagos [quote author=Kingspin post=94176501]Need to school back. Tinubu did not defeat OBJ or GEJ While the CPC, ACN others emerged to form a new party, APC which defeated GEJ of the PDP. Tinubu was a factor leading the West (Tinubu) and from the North (Buhari) before the election. Tinubu for the West, that was why he tried to extend his coast to Edo, you know the story already. Saying Tinubu is the most influential in Nigeria can only be copied from the West. I don't know any other state or community he can influence outside of Lagos and West. Name one.[/quote |

Wahoo. i am almost 40 now, i spent almost 30yrs in Nigeria before moving to the states. But during my days in Nigeria, i never knew that we as Nigerians were this divided. The comments i see on this platform is shocking. I can't believe our youths are defending these good for nothing politicians because they are of same tribe or religion. wahoo. Americans have their differences when it comes to race, religion and even geographical settlements just like we do in Nigeria. But when it comes to national issue, they find a way to work together, because they know if they destroy their country today, they become asylum seeker tomorrow in another country. they put their unborn children in the equation and think of how life would be for those kids if they make the wrong decision today. But when i see these comments from young people , comments like" Tinube is been insulted by the east, south or north because hes from the west. That's absolutely ridiculous. Any politician putting his ambition , personal interest ahead of the people should be disgraced. oshomole, Tinubu, Buhari, El Rufia, IBB, Abubaka, Rochas Okorocha, Amechi, Igbinedion, Ibori, Obasanjoand others are all criminal, this has nothing to do with tribe. Why would our youth stick they life out on social media to defend these ordinary criminals , is simply beyond me. I know a lot of people on social medial still live with their parents, so they don't understand how it feels to work and provide for family. But you have eyes, can't u see how hard it is for ur parents to provide for u? Tinubu and oshomele don't care u and him came from same village or tribe, they will still steal your future and that of your children. Don't defend these these thief because of tribe or religion, but do so because they merit it. Tinubu and oshomole are criminals , it has nothin to do with tribe 2 Likes 2 Shares |

People fail to realize that Obaseki was the one that started the attacks by saying Edo no be Lagos and called out Tinubu. He still used his own two legs to go and see the same Tinubu in Lagos to intervene in the crisis. These things made Tinubu an interested party. Tinubu came out to openly support the candidate of his party, and he was the only top APC leader to have done so. Is there anything wrong with that? I do not think so, but I'd have advised more tact and shrewdness. The way the APC governors rallied around Yahaya Bello (who is the worst governor in Nigeria imho) was not the way they rallied around Ize-Iyamu, and it was largely Oshiomole's fault for demarketing Ize-Iyamu beyond repair. He must have learnt the impossibility of single-handedly installing a governor now. He too must have gone underground immediately and worked to enhance the victory of Ize-Iyamu. I am sure he overrated himself considering how hard he worked as governor. Yet, indiscretion must be limited. Back to Tinubu, one thing I have realized is that Tinubu is not gifted with oratory, but I will commend him for his loyalty to Oshiomole, same way I'd commend Shaibu for sticking on with Obaseki, and same way Oshiomole was loyal to President Buhari and Tinubu who supported him. Let's face it, Obaseki bit the finger that fed him, and what is the guarantee that he won't bite the fingers that fed him this time (the Edo people), or can we not use past behaviour to predict future outcomes? Tinubu took sides and his party lost. Is it proper for us to mock him? Didn't his preferred candidates lose the leadership of the national assembly in 2015? Didn't he lose out in Ondo State? Look, if you have a politician whose men are vice president, house speaker, CoS to the VP, former FIRS chair, ministers of works, interior, health, youth and sports, etc; I don't consider such a politician a failure. As of now, Tinubu is the strongest politician and a rallying point in the south, but his main opposition comes from the south. If he were of northern extraction, he'd be respected like President Buhari pre-2015. If Tinubu is out of the scene, who would be the top politician in southern Nigeria? Who? And Tinubu too needs to understand that he needn't fight every battle. Sometimes, it is best to activate your political machinery than to be seen directly involved. |
