I am really taken aback that mere political appointment of a toothless, ceremonial, powerless, and above all voiceless adviser to the governor or even a commissioner, was enough to buy your conscience in this digital era laced with extraordinary scientific breakthroughs, democracy, political awareness, human rights activism, globalization of all aspects of life. Let me ask you, what did Nigeria do for Canada that made them appoint a Nigerian Ibo as the Minister of Justice, a very key post and in a well advanced country. In fact, you sound like a potential product of godfatherism, but even in this era of political awakening that has birthed political emancipation in hitherto political godsons (e.g. Obaseki). Goke7: |

Let any group in my state contribute just half of what the Igbos contributed and still contribute to the coffers of Lagos state, then I will champion their cause in my state until they are given their rightful place in governance... If the Igbos are well represented in Lagos, why are the Igbo traders being harassed every time? The incarcerated appointees of course have no mouths , let alone balls to defend their brothers ad sisters. Wake up brother ! Goke7: |

Do you know how Trade fair came into existence, do you know the pillars upon which the Lagos commercial hub revolves? Igbos are very industrious folks. So if your godfather really want to reward them (as you claimed) , I won't say he should do more (bc he has not done ANYTHING AT ALL); he should do something. In fact, the political tide that passed through Edo is heading to Lagos, not even you can stop it! Cheers! Goke7: |

Godsspeed: Igbo actually contribute more to Kano commerce than we do Lagos. Go and check with brothers in Kano. Traditionally, Hausa traded in produce and commodities - sugar, salt, flour, leather, groundnut oil, onion, kola and so on. These are all locally obtained. Importation by Igbo has mixed up and transformed commerce in Kano. Igbo introduced new commerce in North. Whereas in Lagos we met and entered into what Yorubas were already exchanging up and down West Africa. We championed spare parts trade but we were not originator of the commerce. So to your point, we actually destroyed our own chance in Lagos. We screwed up. Idimogwu is now trying to save us. We had four PDP representatives, two at state and two at federal. If Idimogwu had not crossed over we would not have a single representative today. It has nothing to do with our commercial relevance but everything to do with politics. After we won four seats we refused to play politics and started smelling ourselves, we got kicked out. God bless Idimogwu. Igbo need to enter mainstream and elite circle in Lagos. We can achive it through politics. |

I Thought They Said Nigeria Is One? Yet, They Hate The Igbos Because They Cannot Compete With Them What a shame Lol |

post=94138279:Remind Obaseki there are ethnic Igbos in Edo State. Now that he has won, it is time for Edo to be Lagos and put our people in cabinet. We are not begging. The way people like you spent sleepless nights to root for him, its time to see dividends of your effort. Obaseki must appoint Igbo into his cabinet, and support few to Edo house of assembly. They are indigenes of Edo, not migrants. If you fail to convince Obaseki and achieve that then you are useless Igboman . |

No, Igdos' contribution in Lagos is more, in fact they are afraid to invest up North, but in Lagos they are more comfortable; hence diverse investments. All the same, let's see if your man's voice will be heard or not. AsiwajuNdigbo: |
