Matthew 28:19-20

Please do you think this order from Jesus was given to a fraction of the Christian congregation or all members?

No. I don't. It was given to the 12 and then by extension, to all. However, by going by your inability to show proofs that James, Cornelius, the Jailer, the Ethiopian Eunuch did engage in preaching/teaching in the neighbourhood, then not all in the first century participated in preaching.

Also, going by your inability show from the bible that those whom I have listed above were informed of the importance of also going about preaching (that's what a 21st century Jw would do), then not all participated in it.

However, I would want to dig further. Going by books written by your religion, its undeniable that it's clearly stated to supporters and adherents that without going door to door do, the individual will not be saved. Basically, without preaching, no everlasting life. Can you please point to the scriptures where either the apostle Paul, Peter, James, anyone, even Jesus said to either his disciples or to the congregation or like those written to the congregations in revelation that they must go door to door or lose everlasting life?

Check all the bolded in my response above. It is evident that no all participated in door knocking. Or do you have the scriptural backing for that?

Because door to door public officers were not meant for everyone. By saying the bolded, you impugned in the loyalty and love of these people to Jesus. A more important question for you to answer is, Can you please point to the scriptures where either the apostle Paul, Peter, James, anyone, even Jesus said to either his disciples or to the congregation or like those written to the congregations in revelation that they must go door to door or lose everlasting life?

This is the most important question to answer. Note, I mentioned Jesus, Peter, Paul. Can you show one scriptures where they mentioned it?

Note, without having a honest response to this question, you will not know which one is a command of men and which is command from Jesus.

Jesus is God's only begotten Son, he has spoken and the order was given to all those who truthfully believe in his name, though he himself said he's going to deny knowing many who claims they performed might works in his name because "they are workers of iniquity"
Equity means participation based on your circumstances, but none participants in the order given by God's only begotten Son means willful disobedience. I think that's why the JWs always encourage all their members to participate your own little quota no matter your circumstances in carrying out the order of this commander! Reve 22:17

And yet you many who truthfully believed in him not preaching. I have cited many examples. It can be clearly seen in the books published by your religion that without each and everyone participating in the preaching, there is no everlasting life for such a person. Clearly stated.

However, you have failed to show anywhere in the bible where Jesus, the apostles made such a statement. I asked you, Can you please point to the scriptures where either the apostle Paul, Peter, James, anyone, even Jesus said to either his disciples or to the congregation or like those written to the congregations in revelation that they must go door to door or lose everlasting life?

You clearly cannot. Because it is not there in the bible.

In the other side, are you no claiming that the likes of Jesus, the apostles, disciples that didn't teach such a message to their followers even while they were on earth were "they are workers of iniquity"?

You spoke of equity. I know what it means. But the fact of the matter is, EQUITY in this CASE IN THIS MATTER. The fact of the case is, what did Jesus command? What did he teach? What did he expect from his disciples? What did he say is paramount and most of all, what is that requirement to enter God's kingdom. What were the scriptural examples we see?

These are the fact of the issue I have brought forward, which you clearly have no response. But instead you skirt about the issue with a circular reasoning.

Speaking about equity, have you seen this scriptures before on what Jesus did?
Ephesians 4:11 He is the one who gave these gifts to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers.

In a family, any family, everyone does not have the same task, talent or ability. This is the fact of creation. Among the nations of Israel, not all were priest, not all were levite, not all were singers, no all were elders (older men), not all were Kings and not all served in the court.

Not all true Christians were to be preaching. Some were given as apostles, some evangelist, others pastors and teachers. But all serve to the edification of the body of Christ (the church or congregation). Verse 12 says, "Their responsibility is to equip God's people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ"

The church of christ (congregation) is compared to the human body. Not all part performs the same function. The hand has it task and so does the leg. At times, the hand can do what the leg can and vice versa. But all work together to build the body. The same is true of the Christian spiritual body. All cannot perform all task. Below is another example.

James 3:1 Dear brothers and sisters, not many of you should become teachers in the church, for we who teach will be judged by God with greater strictness.

While there is admonition to reach out for more service in God's work, not everyone can do every work.

This is why you see the simplicity in the bible. While Jesus commanded his disciple to preach, it was evident that not all did the same preaching because they understood the command more than you who exist 2000 years after. This was also why you couldn't provide evidence where the apostle Paul or anyone was pushing the congregation into the field to preach. That's because they knew that
1. It was not a yardstick for everlasting life
2. Not all were to be preaching just like teaching or other works
3. All had different gift
4. All worked together with their different gift and ministries to build up the church, christ body.

Uncle from what we can gather, since everlasting life is a precious gift, we would want to share the opportunity for others to get that gift. What other means to do that if not by preaching?

Jehovah’s Witnesses to face trial for discrimination and incitement to hate

The Belgian congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses attended a hearing yesterday in criminal court in response to charges of discrimination based on religious beliefs and incitement to hatred. It is the first time that the Jehovah’s Witness are being tried in a criminal court anywhere in the world.

The congregation, which is based in Kraainem, is being given several months to prepare their case; the trial begins next February. The case follows a five-year investigation by a court magistrate in Ghent in response to complaints filed by Patrick Haeck, an ex-member.

“It’s an important precedent,” Haeck told VRT. “How is it possible that a religious community can commit a crime under the guise of freedom of religion?”

Haeck was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses for 35 years and was an elder – someone with considerable authority within his local congregation in Ghent. When he exposed a case of sexual abuse within the congregation, he was officially shunned.

‘Shunning’

Jehovah’s Witnesses use shunning as a tactic to keep members from being disloyal to the group, he claims. “It’s worse than just being excluded,” Haeck told Het Nieuwsblad. “From the highest levels of the organisation comes the order that no one is allowed to talk to you, not even your own family. They declare that this person must be avoided because they have a mental illness that is contagious.”

Several more former Witnesses have joined the complaint, and stories have flowed out from former members who have been shunned. Cecile Temmerman was a Witness for 35 years when her son began to ask critical questions of the congregation's elders.

“I knew hundreds of people in the congregation; almost every day someone came over to visit,” she told Het Nieuwsblad. “From one day to the next, everyone turned their back on me.” She means that literally and figuratively: Witnesses physically turn away from members who are being shunned.

‘In the hands of Satan’

“At a meeting, everyone was warned that my family was in the hands of Satan,” continued Temmerman. “I had literally no one left in my life; the Witnesses make sure that you have no social contact outside the organisation – including family. Even my very best friend wouldn’t speak to me any more. I sank into a depression.”

The prosecutor in Ghent is bringing four charges again the Belgian congregation: for inciting discrimination on the basis of religious beliefs against a person and against a group, and inciting hatred or violence against a person and against a group.

While Jehovah’s Witnesses have been the target of civil court cases before, this is the first time an entire congregation has ever been charged with a crime. Haeck hopes this will set a precedent in other countries.

“Not only for Jehovah’s Witnesses but other religious organisations as well,” he said. “There is a strict separation of church and state. Now that there is more attention being paid to religious extremism, we have to ask ourselves where we draw the line, at what point the state must become involved.”

Bros, Please confirm to this forum if Acts 5:42 is in your copy of the Bible.

Also, in Acts5:42, which people were teaching and preaching from house to house?

Acts 20:20-21,25. I trust Achorladey memory is very sharp to recall that Paul had a thriving law firm in that scripture.

Rott Wailer & Achorladey, confirm Enemies of Jesus Christ DECEIVING themselves.

Can you please point to the scriptures where either the apostle Paul, Peter, James, anyone, even Jesus said to either his disciples or to the congregation or like those written to the congregations in revelation that they must go door to door or lose everlasting life?

This is what is before you grin grin grin

The FAQS of the organization you belong say NO the internal publications of the day to day running of your activities the organization you belong says YES.

That should tell you a lot.

You are still citing scriptures and still adding more scripture that still didn't address the question raised. Face what is before you

Lol lol lol amongst all the reasons there is for JW's preaching, you single one out and try to miscontrue what is intended?

Uncle from what we can gather, since everlasting life is a precious gift, we would want to share the opportunity for others to get that gift. What other means to do that if not by preaching?
If one doesn't preach and teach, then the person in question doesn't value that gift of everlasting life. undecided

How many publication did he cite? At least he has not consulted anything else other than the publication the organization you belong published.

(*2)

They declare that this person must be avoided ”

(*2)Bros, Is the order to excommunicate from the holy scriptures?
Mr Haeck economizes the truth.
"Het Nieuwsblad" Newspaper reported 'he claims' grin

The Bible instructions @ 1 Corinthians5:11-13 and 2 Thess3:6 is in your Bible.
but Mr Haeck, has already "Swindled" you with a FALSE claim.
Please console yourself, you are allowed.

For slander.
Ken4Christ is not Christian.

Perhaps Ken4Christ was following Maximus69 reasoning who stated here on nairaland that the name CHRISTIAN is a CURSED name the reason he said JWS no longer bear the name CHRISTIAN grin grin grin grin. because the new DIVINE name TRUE WORSHIPPERS are to be as provided in 1931 is JW grin grin

There are so many ways to segregate ONESELF. People do so by BASTARDIZATION of a particular name to raise their own COINED name up and above shocked shocked shocked shocked
