Lol. Nice. On the one hand, I'd agree with those that say it looks like a lot of work for switching / voltage monitoring. But on the other hand, this kind of setup is usally a one-time deal, setup and leave it to run for a life time....unlike Raspberry or node-red that will require updates, SD card replacements...etc. To each his own sha. mukhcech: Since your fan is rechargeable, you are good to go. I have the brand new of that particular inverter. Infact, mine is the type that comes with the 20A charging system. You can reach Remi.2good (remove that dot) for a detailed review of the inverter. It works every well for him and i even got it based on recommendations from users like him. But i got a higher inverter now. I can sell it to you for a price lesser than prevailing market rate, if you are interested |

Good day all. I need advise on Growatt vs Axpert. I am planning to buy Growatt inverter, but want to know if anyone has had issues with his/hers over the years. Also, do you think Growatt is better than Axpert as being postulated by these foreigners. Thank you. |

Re: Solar Energy, A Complement To FTA by ojeysky(m): 3:35pm On Sep 22, 2020 |
Abdomox: If it's the actual axpert then I will say it has more integration options as various communities develop third party apps for it especially if external logging is of interest to you |

Abdomox: For instance I log my inverter (axpert variant) data on emoncms through an app called solpiplog both of which are external logging, there are other existing scripts that are shared by various individuals/communities just because axpert(or it's variants) are used by quite a number of people . Growatts on the other hand does not seem to me as being popular like the axpert hence am not sure there are existing tools to read data from it but ofcourse I may be wrong. |

ojeysky: Inverter freezer 319L rated at 115 watts. I think the equivalent non-inverter 319L is rated at 156 watts (I'm not sure it won't be higher). It comes supplied with wheels which you will install yourself. It starts softly at around 86 watts, slowly ramping up over 15 to 20 minutes or thereabout till it gets to its desired consumption which is determined by the temperature of the contents. Most days when the contents have reached set frozen temperature, it maintains a steady 102 watts to 106 watts. However if and when the contents are freshly put inside, it can reach a freaking 166 watts. But I suspect that is to make it freeze faster and it does freeze fast and keeps item frozen well for 12 hrs (which is the longest I've left it without power) after power outage. Although the manufacturer's spec indicates 100 hours after outage. I also keep the high freeze buttons permanently on on my freezers, otherwise maybe consumption could have been less overall. I think when it comes to freezers, thermocool gets it right. Their non-inverter 203L that I have had for almost a year has so far kept its cool and it has not disappointed nor has it made me hot with temper, although the door LED light burned out on the 4th month of use and I'm careful with replacing it so as not to install a replacement bulb with crazy consumption. The 203L (rated 115 watts) keeps a constant 110 watts on most days although I suspect that it may be lower when contents are well frozen cos I noticed that the inverter battery drains a lot less overnight when its content are well frozen. I have read here good reviews about LG inverter refrigerators, so maybe they trump thermocool in the refrigerator landscape. I once read about their proprietary "linear inverter compressor" which performs even better than the regular inverter compressors. I think they use that in their high end refrigerators. You may want to confirm the use of this in their products available in Nigeria before you purchase LG. ojeysky: Which one is turbo inverter again o? Is it different from the regular inverter compressors? mctfopt: I've ordered this stuff since June but Corona nor gree me get am. I may have to re-order when things get back to normal. 3 Likes |

ojeysky:Sorry, I'm a novice on this subject matter. When you log data, what does that mean or do? And what's the benefit of the scripts other users share. Thanks. |

litaninja: This "set and forget" part is why some of us prefer the node-red route. As it happens, things are not always equal. There are days you need to temporarily override your automation. For me, that is a single button from my phone, at home or anywhere in the world. 1 Like |

Abdomox: What data logging means is getting information from the inverter with a software and then having a software present it in an human readable format such as the one attached. As to scripts, what I meant was that some people share their codes that you can then use on your setup. That said, I will suggest that you don't worry too much about logging for now, both inverters are good as standalone. I have not used growatts before but the spec I have read are good to the eyes. Perhaps if you indicate the specific axpert and growatt model you send to procure then you may be advised based on spec. 1 Like |

ceaser: Thanks for the detailed response, as to your question, they are all 319L it's just the model that is different, the TS apparently has a turbo fan attached to the lid to circulate air for distributed cooling. I loved that feature on my current non-inverter 219T until Kazeem fingered it and I lost both the fan and light. Worse part is that I still paid him for all the damages, with my freezer turned to a power guzzler What was the price like when you got yours though? Prices are not smiling o

CH3 Security lights 4. CH4 freezer/fridge Each of the CH has a 2.2kw load capacity. Reach me if interested. 2 Likes

ojeysky: Holy cow! 197k. That's killing. This stuff was 167k, at most 170,551k less than three months ago. Don't worry, I can give you a couple reliable outlets with good prices in ADK when you're ready. There was a minor altercation with one of 'em outlets there when they disappointed another client which I knew. They later called me about 6 weeks ago that they now have it in stocks and asked if the guy in ADK will still be interested. So there's still a chance they have it and probably for less than 197k, I want to believe. I'd have loved the fan type too, but the products I saw with fans were inverter 509L and regular 319 and regular 419L. I almost believed that the 319 inverter had no fan option if not that you posted it here now. If I knew there's 319 inverter turbo option, I'd have insisted on it. 1 Like 1 Share |

BetaTechnicians: I've also come across rival MakeSkyBlue hybrid and regular inverters and as usual more expensive. I have not seen a batteryless option in their offering. Clearly PowMr isn't bad, reason I've remained at ease with using their MPPT controller. They keep me away from MakeSkyBlue product which is the same form factor but prohibitively expensive for that product. Speaking of PowMr MPPT, I may have a new spare for sale. 60amps, 12/24/48 auto. Supports lithium charging. 2 Likes |
