Akwa Ibomites celebrate their 33 years anniversary of state creation;
Akwa Ibom State was created on the 23rd September 1987 by General Ibrahim Babangida.

Tunde Ogbeha was the first Administrator from (28 September 1987 -30 July 1988).

Godwin Abbe was the second Administrator from (31 July 1988-5 September 1990).

Idongesit Nkanga was the first indigenous Administrator from(5 September 1990 - January 1992).

Akpan Isemin was the Governor from (2 January 1992 -18 November 1993) under the platform of NRC.

Yakubu Bako was the third Administrator from(15 December 1993 -21 August 1996).

Joseph Adeusi was the fourth Administrator from(21 August 1996-9 August 1998).

John Ebiye was the last military Administrator of the State from( 9 August 1998-29 May 1999) .

Victor Attah was the Governor from(29 May 1999-29 May 2007) under the platform of PDP.

Godswill Akpabio was the Governor from(29 May 2007-29 May 2015) under the platform PDP.

Udom Gabriel Emmanuel took over from Akpabio from(29 May 2015-date) under the platform of PDP.

Bayelsa in particular, and every other oil producing state needs to bury their heads in shame and have their old blocks ceded to Akwai-Ibom state.

no be small shanties bro. Dope roads and infrastructure but retarding housing units, impoverished, jobless people. Human under-development there na their wahala. State government suppose find way alleviate poverty and increase standard of living there, no cap.
