First timer. Hello friends, I want to share my experience and ask for directions how to go about my wife's dependants application. Online application for my tier 4 visa was submitted 6th August 2020 Biometric and interview was 20th Aug Not straightforward mail received 7th sept I was Scheduled for phone interview 10th Sept 4.30pm I waited for the call, it didn't come until 6pm when I had boarded a plane to attend my traditional marriage which was to hold 12th Sept. I waited for a reschedule mail as the interviewer who called the previous day promised to send. The reschedule mail didn't come. No call came through too. I sent a simple email to request to be rescheduled on 11th Sept I got rescheduled for 15th Sept and got interviewed over the phone same day. No correspondence since then till date. I'm very worried now as it's been 5 weeks since my first interview and biometrics I also wanted help how I would go about my wife's dependants visa. I'm waiting for my visa to be ready before I apply for her. I like to state that as at when I submitted my application, I filled no dependant because we weren't married as at 6th August. What supportimg documents would we be needing for her dependant visa? I am worried because I filled No for dependant on my application. Would this be a problem when we are ready to submit her applicantion? We have our marriage certificate, wedding pictures, what'sapp chats for one year, it should be more but we have changed phones a couple of times. I need guidance as much as I can get here. Thank you all and we love you. Wifey send her regards. Desmond. Jktk: 1 Like |

Jktk: Congratulations. Do you have to pay for walk in? And how difficult is it to obtain a walk in appointment. Can I just show up and be attended to without booking a biometrics appointment prior? Thank you |

Good afternoon to all members, Please I got 10 working hours per week under my tier 4 visa. Is this right? What can you advise? |
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Brightingsus: 3:23pm On Sep 24, 2020 |
Wales1111: The 14 days would be at the place u go straight to from the airport. From 48 hours to your arrival in the UK, you ought to have completed the Journey and Contact Details form online. You could provide your uncle's address as where you would be isolating. |

Passsegun: Working hours Students should ensure they are aware of the University's working restrictions which are generally stricter than the number of hours you can work under Tier 4. The following is therefore provided for information. A Tier 4 visa issued for full-time degree level studies allows you to work for a maximum of 20 hours per week during term-time. This is a maximum of 20 hours in total in any one week, including paid or unpaid work and for one or more organisation. The 20 hours cannot be averaged over a longer period. A 'week' is defined by the Home Office as a period of 7 days beginning with a Monday. This also includes both paid and unpaid work. The University imposes greater working restrictions, as outlined above, and you will need to adhere to these. A Tier 4 visa issued for full-time degree level studies allows you work full-time during official vacation periods. Term and vacation dates differ depending on the level of study you are undertaking so it is important you check these before undertaking full-time work. This includes a full-time internship or placement unless it is part of your course. Please note that the term and vacation dates used by undergraduates do not apply to graduate students. Masters students should consult their Faculty or Department for further details regarding official vacation periods. The academic year for graduate research students is continuous throughout the year, from 1 October to 30 September. It is therefore not possible, for example, for a graduate research student to undertake full-time work during the summer period. Whilst breaks for holidays are permitted, at times agreed with your supervisor, these are not periods that would permit full-time work. Whether you can work after submission of your thesis for examination varies depending on the stage of the process as outlined in the information below. |

graceodini: If you planned to stay in the UK for 6 days, add 14 days to it totalling 20. Your business should be after the 14 day period. |

Please my experts I need your help Am trying to apply for visit visa with my family but my problem is that I mistakenly deleted the link sent to me by UK gov when I applied the first time. How can I reapply without that 3digit code in that link? And how can I book appointment for my dependants ? Thank you all. |

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by graceodini: 9:22pm On Sep 24, 2020 |
Brightingsus: Thanks for your response. I filled 10days in my form but I will be able to only stay for 6days because my leave remains only 2weeks in November for this year. Visa will expire in March 2021. Can I still go in January or early February? I also got this from gov.uk website which says IF YOU ARE STAYING LESS THAN 14DAYS IN THE UK YOU NEED TO SELF ISOLATE FOR THAT PERIOD YOU ARE STAYING FOR.

Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Brightingsus: 9:50pm On Sep 24, 2020 |
graceodini: Yes, that is correct but the reason for coming to the UK becomes defeated. What is the point of booking a flight, coming to the UK to be bound by the walls of a house for the whole of your stay? You get to POE and you are asked why you have come to the UK, what do you say? They ask you where would you isolate, what do you say? |
